staff are amazing ,knowledgeable and hospitable ,, Zoe the resident dog is lovely but won't be too playful if you aren't a dog person ,,there is a pool if you don't rust, kitchen well equipped and kept clean
fortunately got my own room, much preciated , best bed - single by the window (can be cold though) the matures and linen are new and top quality
walking distance to the town centre and cliff walk - say hi to the whales 🐳 and dassies
recommend christchurch reachsa
plug points are not close to all beds - use a power bank if you a phone addict ~ there are many plugs around the room , 🇪🇺 two pin and USB as well so not a dislike

Great atmosphere, super friendly hosts and a wonderful room. Our shower was bigger than the room itself, beautiful stay overall!!

Great location to enjoy Hermanus. Easy walk to restaurants, markets, cliff walk, supermarket. Drop off/pick up for Baz Bus, Wine Hoppers. Comfortable room, huge bathroom. Common areas comfortable and well maintained. Jacqueline is fantastic-gave us great information, recommendations and best of all a paper map!

Buona la posizione, abbastanza centrale, 5 minuti da una fantastica passeggiata sull'oceano. La struttura presenta alcune soluzioni di disimpegno non proprio corrette, sia nella hall, nella zona cucina, che nella camera, la mia era immensa! Anima e calore umano, che è il fulcro di questo B&B dove tutto ha 'senso' è la 'bionda Signora'! Un host qualificato e particolarmente attento ad ogni situazione, la capacità di intraprendere relazioni e le soluzioni a portata di mano...non è una cosa da poco!
La cucina vicino alla hall, alcune stanze che si trovano sulle scale... e troppi... troppi inutili cuscini ovunque! Ma perché!?

I love the relaxed and friendly vibe this place has. it was my 3rd time staying here. Lovely pool and garden area. only a short distance from town and a great bar only a few hundred metres away.

Friendly people who made us feel at home. I would definately stay at Backpackers when I'm in Hermanus again.

The hostel deserved its good rating. We were very positively surprised. We received a friendly welcome and were given a large family room. The hostel is very comfortably furnished, there is plenty of seating and two full communal kitchens are available. Lots of fridges. There was also a fridge in the family room. The area is very quiet and the city of Hermanus is really beautiful and has an extensive excursion program to offer. Also at the reception you get a lot of tips and information about excursions, restaurants and bars. We would stay there again anytime!
