Unser 3.000 Quadratmeter großes Elkpoint-Stadthaus mit 5 Schlafzimmern und 4 Bädern (Wohneinheit 6) ist eines der wenigen echten Ski-In / Ski-Out-Objekte im Purgatory Resort, das direkt an den Pisten gebaut wurde und nur einen kurzen Spaziergang / Skiweg vom Hauptplatz entfernt ist.
Die Gourmetküche verfügt über Granitoberflächen und eine Bar mit Sitzgelegenheiten. We have stayed just about everywhere at Purg including the Pinnacle Suite at the resort and this place beat them all. You can board all the way down the mountain, right up to the gorgeous back entrance. The patio is an awesome spot to rest and people watch. We thought the upstairs was going to be too hot and the basement too cold, but all floors were individually regulated and comfortable. We had everything we needed to cook 3 meals a day and do laundry before heading home. The garage parking was nice, too. Clean place, fast responses from owner. We had a great Christmas here!

This was an amazing place to stay we did encounter a few issues on the second floor bedrooms we had one room with a large separation in the window from the wall we had to stuff washcloths to keep out the cold, the upstairs bedroom the tub does not close so we were unable to use the whirlpool tub. Kitchen could have used a good scrubbing when I was on the floor to clean up a spill I noticed how filthily the cabinets were they defiantly hadn't been wiped in some time. The views were amazing if repair and cleaning were addressed we defiantly would come back and spend more time, Don't get me wrong the place is worth the money just needs a few things addressed.

The location of the property was great. However, the property is in need of a deep cleaning. Cobb webs issues, screens missing from windows, accumulated dust in the corners of the floor, 3 coffee makers none of which worked and were dirty. Management did provided a new Mr. Coffee after reporting coffee maker issue. Dishes and flatware appeared to be unclean. Overall disappointed with the cleaniness.

We had an amazing time here. We were a large party and there was sufficient room for everyone. The only complains we have were of the cleanliness and the offered amenities in the listing. There were cobwebs all over the light fixtures and windows. We also found mouse droppings in the master bedroom in the dresser drawers. We're were also not allowed to use the hot tub or the pool. We were told by the lodging staff that those amenities are only for guests of the central lodge area. Anyone staying at the individually managed properties could not use the pool or hot tub. Aside from that we did enjoy our stay and would consider booking again.

The property itself was great. View from back porch was awesome. Located extremely close to the main beginner ski lift at Purgatory and clubhouse if anyone is considering it during ski season. Overall, very nice place but needs to be managed better. The hard water filter apparently failed the day we were to check in and we were notified very close to check in time. It was supposed to be fixed the next day and wasn’t. However, it was not nearly as noticeable as we expected it to be and had they not said anything we wouldn’t have noticed at all. The cleaning crew left a garbage can in the kitchen full of trash, there was very old coffee in the coffee pot, and the large windows facing pool/ski lift and mountains were covered with cobwebs outside and really need to be cleaned. There was also no propane for the grill. And one of the screens on an upstairs window kept falling off. That said, the property is nice enough and ideally located within Purgatory. We would definitely give it a second chance and would hope not to experience the stated, avoidable issues.

We had our family reunion here at Purgatory resort. Our family had a few units that were near each other but i loved this location the best! This was the perfect size for my sisters family and ours. Lots of beds and everyone had their space. Lots of stairs but that helped get us in shape for the elevation haha. We loved that we could walk straight to the lodge and pool/workout room. Its in small print but be aware that there is an extra charge if you want to use the pool/hot tub/ workout room. We used those daily so it was worth the extra charge.As far as working with the management, they were always quick to respond to our questions and one day, there was a bad smell in the water in the master bathroom. We contacted the management and they were quick to reply and look into that. We will be coming back!

The home was beautiful and with the large amounts of late snow we were one of the few homes that were truly ski in and ski out. We had plenty of room and nice furnishings. And the kids could go right out the back door and play and only a few minute walk to the lodge. Only thing was the water pressure in 2 showers was really low. Great stay!

Location of this Condo is perfect, however we had many issues. The place was very dirty. Windows had hand prints, dirt, and cobwebs. Very minimal pillows and linens. Water fixtures were dirty and had lots of calcium build up due to the water softener having no salt. Bbq pit was so nasty we didn’t attempt to use it. Dishes, pots and pans all had to be washed before use. Water pressure was low throughout the house. I can deal with a few issues, but not the lack of cleanliness for $12k/week. I would not recommend this place and will not stay there again.

We REALLY enjoy the Elk Point condos - can’t beat them for proximity to lifts and base area. There were a few things in the kitchen that would have been helpful - ie a cookie sheet/sheet pan - but it all worked out! We’ll definitely be back!

Nice location, many problems with condo
We stayed at the La Plata County, Elk Point Lodge from 7/7/22-7/10/22. The location is lovely however we encountered some issues with the condo that initially seemed small, but the problems kept occurring. One example is the refrigerator. It was not cooling properly and we had items that if we had not pulled from the refrigerator and put in our own cooler with ice, would spoil. The ice maker didn't work at all, one of the bathroom faucets leaked from its base, the outside grill was filthy, one of my family members found a plastic bag with items still in it from a takeout place in her bedroom, the cutlery and coffee mugs smelled weird, the coffee maker kept beeping for it to be 'cleaned'--individually, these are not huge issues, but collectively each issue took time away from our vacation. Please know that three nights here cost thousands of dollars. When I called to express my annoyance the management frankly didn't care and said that they had addressed each issue when I brought it to their attention (true). Fine. But I feel like it took time away from my vacation to 'vet' these issues, not my job! and not the kind of thing I wanted to do, particularly on a vacation. Honestly for the amount of money I paid, I should not have had to deal with ANY of these issues --- further, please note that the pool and hot tub are NOT part of the fee you pay, even though the photos show the pool, hot tub as part of the experience. You must pay an extra 4% to use the 'amenities' for these things. Although the location is really nice, I would steer you away from this particular condo, and perhaps this kind of management.

Family Vacation
This property is just as listed! The location to Purgatory Resort is perfect as you can see some of the activities from the living room. It is a short walk to the pool and hot tub if you purchase access to it. It rained 4 of our five days so everything was not able to open, but rain in this area is much needed!

We had 5 adults, two teens, and one child and stayed here during the shoulder season at Purgatory Ski Resort. The townhouse was clean and well-stocked. The beds were comfortable. Plenty of space for everyone. The washer and dryer worked perfectly. We cooked most meals at the house and the kitchen had everything we needed. The pool was close by and the kids enjoyed swimming every day. I would stay here again.

This was the first time visiting Purgatory. The townhouse was everything it was advertised. The ski in/ski out location was awesome and the inside was immaculate and luxurious. We were a group of 5 guys and there was plenty of room for all of us and the amenities were great. I would highly recommend this property and would definitely stay there again!

We stayed here with 3 other families and it was absolutely wonderful! We had the best time!! Lots of space! The unit is stocked with everything you would need to stay in and make dinner but was close enough to walk across the ski run to grab dinner or drinks at the lodge/bar. We did have a couple of small issues with the unit but management came right away to repair it. We will definitely be back to rent this unit!!

The refrigerator was missing the bottom drawer and the one above it was broken. The pans to cook in were Teflon and were scratched. With a large group we cook a lot of eggs for breakfast. We ended buying a pan at Walmart. There was only one 9x13 casserole dish which surprisingly was limiting and there was only one baking sheet and it was tiny. Also the trash compactor did not work. Everything else in the condo was so luxurious and the ski in ski out is amazing the kitch just did not match.

There were minimal utensils, baking items, and very small cookware options. We did not have enough towels for each person. There were multiple things not working, where maintenance we supposed to come out to repair them, but did not come in the 10 days during our stay. There is a lot of hard water build up throughout the unit that needs addressing and the drain in the bath on the main floor did not drain. The slate tile in the main floor bath chipped off each time we used the tub/shower.

The rental was very comfortable for our multi-family vacation with 2 toddlers and a baby (there was even a bonus high chair in the closet). But, the absolute best is the location of this unit. With young children we were able to go sledding and skiing for short durations and then go back to the rental. No long treks, no loading in and out of vehicles.

I can’t imagine a better location for ski or summer. Spacious and well laid out. The only reason for the 4 stars was a few things concerning the condition of the property. Immediately on entering there was a strong smoke smell. A store owner at Purg mentioned it might be coming from the sink that a water issue sometimes causes. I actually think she might be right as it did seem to be coming from the sink. Anyway it dissipated in a day or so. Not sure this is a management or owner issue - but there like two towels and two rolls of TP in Each bathroom so plan on washing towels and buying TP! If I was paying top dollar during ski season this would be annoying. This is a great property but def room for improvement- small things like the mismatched light bulbs (the horrible blue leds mixed with old school yellow), barely functioning shower heads, lack of towels, etc could be easily remedied to make it a little better.

Good Trip
Really enjoyed the house and weather. Everything was just as advertised. We stayed in Mid-August and there was only a pizza place and a bar that were open on the mountain for food. If we had known that we would have planned meals instead of driving into town. Music from pool and bar were a little loud but not horrible. Was very peaceful after about 6pm once the pool bar shut down. Enjoyed our trip!

Amazing
The lodge we stayed in had room for all of us and everything we needed. We loved being able to ski in/out from our back door and, when we opened the blinds, we could watch the skiers go up the ski lift and ski down the lower level of the mountain. The village stores were just a short walk and the Purgey bar was close for an evening drink and relaxation!

You are staying at this condo because the location cannot be beat! It is a true ski in/ski out and we loved sitting on the porch watching all of the activities taking place on the mountain. The managing company was very responsive to emails with questions. The property does need some updates based on location and price points as well as a refresh of supplies in the kitchen and a major deep cleaning.

Perfect location for skiing!
Location was amazing for skiing! Lots of room to fit our large family. Nice to be able to take a break from the slopes for lunch with out needing the shuttle. The house is huge and great location but could use a deep clean and upstairs bathtub needs the drain fixed. We loved our stay though and have already booked for next year!

Amazing time!! Unit needs a good deep clean
Our family GREATLY enjoyed our 6 days in our Elk Point townhome. Communication with management was quick and effective, they were very friendly. Check-in was seamless and simple. We slept 12 very comfortably (unit is very spacious). You cannot beat the view and location! A true ski-in/ski-out. We loved this unit and will definitely return. However, there is one point I’d like to make so future guests are fully aware. The cleanliness factor is lacking. The whole unit needs a thorough deep cleaning. Specifically, the queen bed in one of the 3rd floor bedrooms smelled of cigarette smoke and the comforter was dirty. Overall, our stay was very enjoyable and we highly recommend this Elk Point townhome!

Ehhhhhh ok
First of all- the on-site property manager was amazing and responsive. Loved them. The unfortunate thing was we had to call them at all- the bathtub faucet came off in our hand and thank goodness no one got scalded. The house itself was ok- pretty outdated and a little run down. The carpets and bedding were very old and dirty- stained sort of. Also you could tell that the house was pet friendly because it really had a strong pet/urine/smoke smell.
The temperature was impossible to control, and the gas fireplaces were hard to use, the one in the master bedroom needed repair the first day. Again, the fireplace remotes were old, needed batteries... just bad upkeep.
The WiFi was TERRIBLE, which unfortunately is how the TVs operate. I think the server was simply overloaded.
The location was nice, a true ski out situation, and a great view.
We also got a number of parking warnings even though we followed the parking directions.
Finally, I was super irritated that the “resort fee” didn’t actually include the use of any of the resort amenities. That’s ridiculous. The fitness center was closed due to the Rona, but still I thought that was very misleading that you get charged a resort fee for basically nothing.
