Very well located in the centre of Hawes.
Bathrooms look recently refurbished
Apart from the bathrooms it is very dated and could do with a major overhaul but particularly replacement carpets. None of the staff enquired about how our stay was. The man serving breakfast didn't speak to us at all. Having stayed in other accommodation in the Dales this week on a long distance walk this was the poorest by far in terms of facilities, staff and customer service.

Our 3rd stay at the Fountain. Lovely pub with B&B. Really friendly, lovely clean rooms and great breakfast in the centre of Hawes. Excellent bar food or Sunday lunch as well. And free parking. We'll definitely be back soon.

Breakfast was excellent, evening meal was OK. Staff were very friendly
TV didn’t work in room, hotel was a bit tired for the cost. £110 on their website but I couldn’t book direct when I called due to having a wedding on for 100 people; I don’t know where. Paid £130 through Booking.com because our friends were staying there.

Lovely comfortable room, good choice of food for breakfast (and in the pub), staff were very polite and helpful
The shower didn't work very well and went cold after about 5 mins (although to be fair, I didn't let the staff know)

Convenience for locality, staff friendly and efficient, breakfast OK, room was clean .
Water flow from shower poor, one bed in twin room had quite poor mattress, hotel needs to publish width of opening to car park as some larger cars wouldn't be able to get through the gap.

Fabulous breakfast and good food in the pub. Friendly and accommodating staff. Comfy bed. Single room larger than expected.

The hotel reception and furniture in room in my opinion needs a bit of TLC and modernization as very basic.
Noise from hotel bar and outside due to no double glazing. Earplugs required.

The cleanliness was just about acceptable I suppose (...maybe), but the whole place is kind of sticky and grubby. Its very old fashioned, tired looking with beds and furniture well past their best. The breakfast was greasy with cheap, poor quality ingredients. I found the staff a little rude and unwelcoming - It's as if they didn't want to be there.

Breakfast exceptional. All exceeded our expectation from a small mid town dales hotel at this price. Due to Covid absences no evening food on both nights but directed to nearby alternative.

Lovely pub in middle of Hawes. We had a large room with amazing views of the dales. Free parking to rear. Nice evening meal & breaky to fuel up for days of walking.
