Zimmer war ok, Bett bequem. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig.

Mir war beim Buchen nicht bewusst, dass das Nebengebäude in dem unser Zimmer lag, gar nicht zum Schlossareal gehört, sondern der Pfarrhof in der Ortschaft ist.Das sollte schon beim Buchen besser ersichtlich sein. Unser Zimmer verfügte nicht einmal über eine Minibar, dafür sind fast 200,- € für eine Nacht zu hoch gegriffen finde ich. Das Zimmer war zwar groß aber nicht luxuriös. Getränke konnte man im Schloss von einem Kühlschrank nehmen und sich in eine Liste eintragen. Zu umständlich für Zimmer mit diesem Preis.

Be careful when you book this hotel, the prices written on Booking are most of the time for 1 person .... Really nice to discover on D-Day that you have to pay an extra 41€ for your husband... Indeed the name of the reservation was "1 room" but never explained that it was only for 1 person ! It's the 1st time of my life that we were facing such scam, they've tried to explain themselves by 'this is how it works in Austria", which is totally false as we've stayed 3 days in Vienna before and they've never asked to pay an extra charge for 2 persons. Late check-out may be charged when you leave the room with 10 minutes delay ... such a joke! (50€ for late check-out) The staff nearly speak english so pretty hard to understand each other If you want a good place with an honest price : please avoid this place.

Perfect stop while traveling in the vineyards. Nice wine cellar, beautiful garden terrace, magical place.

The interior is quite boring comparing with the location.

The hotel confirmed the booking independently from Booking.com BUT didn’t mention that the hotel restaurant was not open (due to Covid). Although there was a fridge in the lobby from which you could take soft drinks (enter room nr and name which drinks you had taken), you couldn’t even get a glass of wine or similar…. The room was pleasant but not special in any way, the bathroom was clean but the shower cabin was primitive. In all. for a supposedly 4 star castle hotel, it honestly did not come up to scratch !!! We were charged for the upgrade from st darf to superior double which I understood would be free for Genuis level 2 bookers.

Athmosphere, Location

Wonderful castle owned by Maltesian Order, authentic athmosphere !

The estate itself is wonderful, rooms are superb, big, well restored, pleasant ....
