We really enjoyed our 2 weeks summer holiday in Trevor's beautiful and quiet house. The house is aptly described with the pictures and description in the advert. The house is fully furnished and we wanted for nothing. The pool is large and spacious and was great fun. Only the mosaic tiles in the pool are often coming loose, which doesn't interfere with use but should be done in the future. Flayosc is within 15 minutes walking distance and there are two small supermarkets, cafes and bakeries for daily needs. Otherwise, the many beautiful old villages in the area are highly recommended for excursions. Aix en Provence, Cannes and Nice are also within easy reach by car or train. For questions about the property, Trevor was always promptly available via e-mail as well as the neighbour on site. Thank you very much, we would love to come back!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Trevor's beautiful house and even managed a dip into the pool which is big enough for a proper swim and offers a great view over the countryside. The kitchen is very well stocked and great for cooking if one does not want to eat out.

The house is big enough for 4 adults and 2 children; each bed room with cooling equipment. The house is nicely decorated and completely equiped and has a very nice garden surrounding the house and the swimming pool, (the latter only heated by the sun). An electric vance protects against the wild pigs visiting sometimes the area at night. Kind assistance is available. The village is nearby, very nice and has good quality shops.

Perfect setting - wooded hillside, views of countryside, secluded, not overlooked. Large pool, plenty of loungers etc, pleasant shaded eating area and plenty of other shaded areas to sit and relax.

Superb!
We spent once again a most wonderful week in this superb, fully equipped villa, magnificent pool (at which we spent most of the week), chanting cicadas and perfect surroundings! As returning guests, the villa lived totally up to our sweet memories from 8 years ago. Country chic, peaceful, very friendly neighbour Francoise, Trevor himself, if needed, only an email or phonecall away....Les Sauterelles is a most beautiful rustic villa inside and out that is obviously loved and very well cared for, a villa to be loved indeed en to keep returning to!!

Maison agréable belle situation mais des détails à améliorer
Maison agréable avec piscine avec belle vue malheureusement la foudre en Juillet avait endommagé l'électricité de cette maison donc de nombreux désagrément avec le passage d'artisans tous les jours pas très discrets ; cuisine et vaisselle passable ; aménagement pour personne handicapés moyens manque de barres dans la salle de bain , sol glissant , système de mise à l'eau de la piscine impossible à mettre en marche ; contacts très aimables par mail avec le propriétaire et avec la voisine Françoise qui nous a aidé concernant les problèmes réguliers de coupures d'électricité ; en améliorant ces détails ce serait parfait .

A very nice place with a beautiful view on the hill and a very large pool. House is spacious, with large bedrooms.
Very close to the village wich is very convenient.
The neighbour Françoise is an extremely nice person, always there to help in case of need. Trevor is also very responsive to the messages.

Lovely place
We enjoyed our stay in Trevor’s villa. The house is very well situated in a private area, the garden is lovely with nice views on the hills. Flayosc is in a 10 minutes walk from the house and Draguinan with big supermarket in 12 minutes by car.The house is a bit old fashioned but with a fine ambiance, is well equipped and very spacious. Pool, next to the house and terrace are ajoy to use. A very nice and quiet place to stay which we really enjoyed. Neighbour Francoise is very kind and helpful and so is Trevor on a distance by email. We recommend this house and it is surely a house to rent a second time.

Beautiful house in a lovely Provençal town
We loved the authenticity of Les Sauterelles. It is simple in a slightly old fashioned way which was perfect, all mod cons and marble kitchen work surfaces would not work here. We had everything we needed and the setting, pool and location were stunning. Thank you

Good, well laid out, and a comfortable base
Really enjoyed our stay here. As Trevor warned, there's always a few things to be fixed, but everything worked well enough. We never saw the gate close itself automatically, so we just manually shut it when we weren't going out for the day.
The villa was clean, comfortable, and had everything you need, and the pool and gardens were lovely. Everyone was on hand and available if we needed it, though we really didn't have anything needing doing.
Trevor's notes are very helpful, and cover almost everything you need to know - wish other villas did this. We found the front door quite stiff, but tended to use the exit from the utility room anyway.
The only thing that could have been better was meeting Florence during the stay, as she could have saved us time pointing out things, Trevor's notes made it easy enough though. She couldn't make it when we arrived, and we did waste a few minutes when we first arrived, the house was locked up, and I hadn't seen a note come through on my phone telling me where the key was, until I got it out to phone her.
Other than that, one of the most relaxing holidays we've had. Flayosc is pleasant and walkable, Draguigan and its supermarkets, restaurants close too, though they were still digging it up when we were there.. If you like markets though, you can't beat the one in Lorgues.
Our satnav sent us through some tiny lanes on the way there from Nice, which was OK once we got used to driving in France again, but Trevor's suggested route is much more sensible after a long day's travel, so I recommend using that to anyone getting used to their hire car.
Would definitely book again, when we decide to go back to the region.

A comfortable house with lovely garden and view, and wonderful pool.
We liked the characterful house very much, and loved the secluded garden with its beautiful views, but the glorious pool was really wonderful in the hot days of August. We enjoyed a very relaxing holiday, reading in the shade of the trees around the garden, eating on the terrace and visiting some of the nearby villages; a trip to Grimaud and Port Grimaud was also great fun. Air conditioning in the sitting room and one of the bedrooms was a great blessing as the temperatures soared. Those of us staying in the smaller bedrooms struggled a bit; they were hot despite the fans. At first we found the house a bit old-fashioned, but as time went on we grew to appreciate the traditional look and decor. We would have liked to meet Florence to clear up one or two questions, but we managed in the end. I would definitely recommend this lovely holiday house with its garden and pool, especially to those who look for something comfortable and homely rather than sleek and modern.
Small suggestions: a visitors' book where people can make their recommendations re: places of interest, restaurants etc, could be helpful; fresh sponges and a few rubbish sacks in the kitchen would also have been great - it took us half the week to locate the kitchen bin!
We did appreciate Trevor's cheery comments and comprehensive instructions.

Charming House in excellent location. Great pool where we spent a lot of time cooling off. Spent majority of time in the outside space which was secluded and peaceful. House had everything we required for a comfortable stay and we would hope to return one day.

Gorgeous and peaceful setting with lovely views.
The villa was old but with lots of character. The pool was a great size and the garden space was perfect for us. Our young son had plenty of space to play football and run around which was part of the reason we also chose this particular villa as the outdoor space and pool were perfect for us. It would be nice if all the rooms had aircon or at least ceiling fans as good as the one in the main bedroom but this wouldn't put us off staying here again. The location was perfect and the town of Flayosc itself was absolutely lovely with shops and restaurants to choose from and only a 10 minute walk. We would definitely return here again.

Perfect holiday!
This comfortable, clean, homely villa is in a wonderful location, an hour or so's drive from Nice and 10 mins walk to the village of Flayosc and its shops, market, restaurants and cafes. It is located in a really peaceful lane and has stunning views to the far distance from the patio and garden. The villa itself had everything we needed, except for air-con in two of the bedrooms. The outside area was excellent - the pool was large, clean and ideal for us and 3 young adults to relax and play in. The garden area was big enough for games of badminton and provided welcome shade from the sun. Bikes hired nearby enabled the cyclists to enjoy the stunning countryside around and we didn't have to go far to have a long morning's kayaking trip and an evening on a boat on the lake. Trevor was easy to contact and very helpful throughout. We would highly recommend the villa and host and would be very interested in re-booking for a future holiday.

beautiful location
This has been a wonderful holiday. The villa was easy to find and in a great location, easily walkable into Flayosc. We were a family of 6 including grandparents and 2 young children.
The villa does not have air conditioning throughout however this is not a problem as the house is shaded and ceiling and stand alone fans are provided. The pool is a good size with steps and the gardens well kept. We ate out every night in Flayosc and Draguignan and found the locals extremely friendly and welcoming. The villa itself was in good condition with the traditional kitchen, plus washing machine and dryer in the utility room. It had Apple TV and Bose and Sonos however we used our own tablets and bluetooth speaker (I couldn't get the Sonos or Bose to work but that's probably down to me!).
Trevor replied promptly to all my requests and queries and we all would love to return next year if our leave fits!!!!

Beautiful holiday home
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your beautiful home, the house, pool and garden are beautiful.
The garden has both shade and sun which was perfect for our family, and the view about the valley was just marvellous!
For our wheelchair bound daughter the whole place was perfect.
This was the first time we stayed in this area and in your house but we will definitely book again!! Such a lovely relaxing, homely environment and such a lot to do around and about.

Charming, peaceful and very comfortable.
We really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it. The villa, garden and pool area are spacious and well laid out. The setting is very tranquil with a lovely view from the end of the garden. The villa is charming, comfortable and well-equipped (the wi-fi and home entertainment options especially). We particularly liked breakfast outside gazing at the view, dipping into the pool on sun-baked afternoons and the spacious living room with large comfortable sofas, perfect for family time watching films, playing cards and games, etc. in the evening. The location is private without being isolated. The sweet little village is a short walk away for shops, bars and restaurants. Lively Draguignan and the large supermarkets, etc. are 10-15 minutes or so by car. Day excursions to spectacular sights like the Gorges du Verdon or to the coast are less than an hours drive. Trevor, the owner, was the perfect mix of welcoming, attentive and informative without being at all intrusive so we felt we were in good hands at all times. As a result, we spent a blissful and very relaxing week here. Highly recommended.

The location is excellent being private with lovely views and walking distance (albeit a bit up and down) to the village. The house itself has some very pretty parts and the pool and pool area were great. We found the kitchen a bit dated and hard to clean but overall it had everything we needed. Just what we were after
We stayed in this house for 2 weeks in the summer of 2013. It was the perfect layout for 4 adults and 2 kids. We were walking distance to town and the layout of the house was perfect for giving everyone privacy, but also being all together. We spent many evenings sitting outside playing cards on the patio. The kids loved running in the yard and splashing in the pool. We've been to France many times for summer holidays and this was definitely my favorite house. Thank you!

Beautiful property in a delightful village
This is a delightful property in a lovely little village. We chose it because of the wheelchair access as it's flat and has a pretty accessible bathroom but would have been equally happy with it had we not needed that feature. The living room is gorgeous - rather country chic, if that makes sense, with three good bedrooms (the accessible one very large with an en suite). The kitchen was well stocked with everything we could have needed. It's walkable into the village although we chose to drive when taking the wheelchair as it's a bit undulating under foot. Good bakeries for breakfast goods and several nice restaurants. The outdoor area is very flat with a gorgeous pool (with a hoist if needed). Would highly recommend this villa.

Beautiful setting for a peaceful break.
The house is in a very quiet location, but close to Flayosc. The walk into the village is only for the energetic, but it is a five minute drive on small back roads with very little traffic.
The village itself has plenty of cafés and restaurants, good shops and a wonderful new wine co-operative.
The interior of the house is a little old-fashioned but proved to be more than adequate as we spent most of our time on the lovely covered terrace admiring the view, or swimming in the excellent pool.
The local manager was welcoming and extremely efficient.Any minor problems were quickly sorted out. The very friendly neighbours were also on hand if needed.
Our party included a wheelchair user, and, in the main, the property was very suitable for us. The only slight problem was that the ramps out onto the terrace were perhaps more suited to a powered chair, rather than our manual chair.
We had a lovely holiday and would recommend this rental to anyone.
