On arrival Ivan was a massive relief. We found ourselves caught up in some travel dramas, he was able to help us out with finding more information on the situation and also piece of mind we would be able to take things day by day at the hotel. He organised a taxi to the airport and confidence that things will work out well for us, given we don't speak Spanish.
The other lad who was on the staff was just gorgeous, I felt pretty stressed and impatient, he was so nice, patient and did his best to make sure our stay was as good as it could possibly be.
Thanks to these two and the cleaning / cafe staff. We are so grateful for your help and getting us out of Pasto.
The neighbourhood is great, lots of places to eat and it's safe to walk around. Breakfast was actually pretty good also, good coffee.
For me it was a little noisy at times both the road and in the hotel. Given the excellence of the staff this was something we accepted as a trade off for how great the people are.

La ubicación es excelente, cerca hay varios restaurantes buenísimos. Se puede caminar tranquilamente por los alrededores. La habitación fue cómoda y silenciosa. El desayuno muy bueno: frutas y huevos al gusto. Café de calidad. El personal muy dispuesto a ayudar en cualquier duda.

I liked that they tried to make us feel comfortable, the location was exactly in the middle of all the clinics and medical centers, also that they gave us breakfast even though we could not make it to the breakfast time. Ambience is nice, and some spaces allowed us to get lunch and work on our paperwork. Also the staff kindly let us put food in the refrigerator and borrowed us a knife to split medicines in two.
I didn't like that there is not a person in reception at all times and that the front door is locked. So many times I had to knock for a long time so one worker that was not around would hear me and go open the door for me.
Also, the room in the first floor was a bit dark and cold, which was detrimental on my parents respiratory problems.
It is quite difficult to get a taxi passing by the hotel, so it would be nice to get a taxi service that the hotel can offer.
The water in the shower was not warm, it was barely not cold, which is not nice in a city as cold as Pasto.

Like a lot of places in town, the hot water for the shower, lacked a little bit because of pressure issues.

Ivan and his staff run a beautiful hostel. My room was cleaned daily and they even hung up my clothes. The bed and pillows are incredibly comfortable and it’s the first place I have four days in Colombia that has used cotton sheets.
His English is perfect and he really understands what you need. I desperately needed his help while in Pasto, as I was robbed of nearly everything. This is no reflection of him or his town. Just in the wrong spot at the wrong time. He and his mum helped me with all the fallout including going to four different police departments to make a report, which took three days.
I cannot commend Ivan and his staff enough for a great job.
As the property is relatively new, I would look to integrate a communal area so travellers can meet. It is what makes it fun staying at a hostel. That constant communication of ideas. There is a back terrace area which would be perfect. It was mentioned by a lot of travellers. Oh and a kettle would be nice, but I know it’s not a Colombian thing. Other than that, it’s perfect!
