Hotel Moderne was so conveniently located outside the Lourdes Sanctuary. The room was comfortable and well lighted with nice big windows. The staff in the front desk were pleasant and very accommodating. The restaurant had very good food. There are a lot of shops and restaurants around it.

the hotel was centrally located and within walking distance to the sanctuary. the staff was very nice and helpful. the rooms were simple but clean.
upon check out we were charged for the breakfast in the hotel, but we had already paid for the breakfast and not charged to the room. so i suggest thoroughly checking your bill upon check out.

Calm and comfortable.close to the beach and location next to the town hall police station meant it was very quiet
The limited breakfast buffet options. if you wanted fried or boiled eggs you were expected to cook them yourself.No restaurant or room service.

The €20 breakfast is not worth the price and should be avoided. There are better options in the immediate vicinity for half the price.

The staff were exceptional! They were all friendly, helpful & knowledgeable about the area & activities. The location is perfect to visit the sanctuary! Great stay.

Old world charm and so typically French. Staff were so friendly. Perfect location just 2 min walk from the Grotto and the same from a multi-storey car park. Very much enjoyed our stay.

Simon and the rest of the front desk crew helped me with my lost luggage. They called Iberia, they called back and we made an agreement. Problem solved. Above and beyond 🙏❤️🙏

The hotel was absolutely beautiful. The staff is so attentive answering every question and caring for every need. The location is right out of the sanctuary, literally, just steps. The bar and restaurant are exceptional. Staff took time to describe ho we could get the most out of our short pilgrimage. Wood paneling and the circular staircase just ooze history.
We loved everything about this very historic GRAND hotel.

The room was cold (freezing) during my stay on the first night and I made adjustments on the room thermostat which did not work. I had to notify the front desk and found out that the air conditioning system in the room is controlled at the front desk. Front desk staff made adjustment in their office, because the air condition was turned on instead of off.

Rude attitude of the staff member who worked during the night shift. At 00:30, after making sure in the directory list provided that the room service was available, I called the front desk for a simple sachet of instant coffee and a can of milk as they were not brought to our room after our first one. The guy on the phone replied with a straight "NO". Perhaps he misunderstood me as he wasn't an English native speaker, therefore I asked again and explained even better what I needed. I also asked to bring a bottle of water and after insisting he eventually agreed but the attitude was far away from being polite and the call ended with a very "sour taste". Anyway, after 5 minutes this guy knocked my door and after giving me what I have requested he also insinuated that we provided another room number for the dinner of the night before and pretended an "immediate" payment right in front of my room at that time of the night. After clarifying that we actually did NOT provide any wrong room number for the previous dinner I kindly let him know that we would have paid everything (as we did) at the time of the checkout from the hotel (as you would normally expect especially from such a well advertised hotel like this). He left but - again - I was very close to start a big heated discussion with this IMPOLITE and UNPROFESSIONAL staff member. I don't know his name. All I know is that he was very toll and with an Arabic accent while speaking a broken English (probably from Morocco considering that they speak French in Lourdes).
A little suggestion for the management of this hotel: please re-coach this gentleman as his behaviour was far away from being professional. I understand that during the night you don't need to put the most customer service skilled staff member at the reception but a minimum of courtesy - especially in such an expensive hotel like yours - is expected!!!!
