Das Powder Haus ist ein brandneues, modernes Stadthaus in der exklusiven Cedars-Siedlung am Fuße des Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. Vier Schlafzimmer, darunter 3 Master-Suiten mit Kingsize-Betten, Schränken (zwei begehbare), eigenem Bad (ein doppelter Zugang vom Rest des Hauses). Das vierte Schlafzimmer ist ein Schlafraum mit 4 großen Etagenbetten und einem speziellen Schrank. Superb location, view, and amenities. Gabriel was very easy to communicate with and this is a great listing for any group ski weekend getaway.

The property is new and very nice. Very good attention to detail for skiers, lots of shelves and hooks at the entry for boots and skiwear. The kitchen and pantry are very well equipped. Top notch TVs and provider with plenty of HD sports channels. We really liked the layout of the upper level with kitchen, dining & TV/fireplace all together and open. Nice new outdoor hot tub with great views of the mountains. Unfortunately snow conditions were poor when we were there Jan30-Feb2 with marginal skiing on the lower mountain and the ski in/out essentially closed so unable to comment on that. Also we were not given the access code prior to check-in time (5pm) and the PM did not respond to emails (VRBO app chat) or voice messages left on his contact number (which is a USA number, most inconvenient as most phone plans will incur a charge). I called VRBO directly and they were eventually able to trigger the PM to send me the access code. Thus we had a rough start to our trip and not great ski conditions but everyone really enjoyed the house and we would certainly stay again.

We do an annual ski trip every year, and this year we picked Kicking Horse. The place looked great in the photos, and we were excited to experience the mountain. Unfortunately, we received a message the night before we checked in stating there was a problem with the unit. Gabriel immediately found us an alternative place in the same area. After some confusion and stress, we found the place and settled in.
These units are incredible! The pictures don’t do it justice. The ski out is manageable, and the ski in is right to the door.
Thank you to a great host who worked swift and hard to make our trip happen.
Definitely recommend.

Great Winter Getaway
The accommodations were perfect for 3 families with little ones (4 kiddos under 3). The two master closets fit the pack and plays so it was like babies were in their own bedroom. Pictures and description were accurate and don't do the property justice. Kitchen was well stocked, very clean and the beds and linens were very high end. Communication with the property manager was excellent. Hot tub with great mountain views.
We all snowboard so the ski in/out was a bit too flat for us (the video accurately reflects the terrain so we knew this at time of booking). Despite this, we could easily drive to Kicking Horse Resort - drive is less than 2 minutes. If you are skiing you will have no issue.
We had a lovely stay and would definitely consider staying again and making this trip an annual tradition. Would recommend!

Amazing Family Getaway!
Although I had been to Golden many times in the winter, this was my first in the summer but it will not be my last! Myself and my family (grandma, teens, adults, and kids!) ALL thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Powder Haus. With so many thoughtful touches throughout the home, it really made it feel like a home to create lasting memories in. Some of my favorites were: the baskets of outdoor patio slippers/towels, the ample kitchen spices (usually spice selection is slim in vaction rentals) and the well laid out instruction book for all things regarding the home. (we needed a couple of us to tackle the tv and all the remotes to put on something for grandma to watch.) The kids loved the outlets and personal lights in each bunk bed! Those staying in the cool basement may find the 4 flights of stairs up to the kitchen a bit tough after a long day of hiking. But the hot tub would make you forget all those sore muscles, great it was visible from the kitchen. All the rooms were spacious, the decor was simple, and the premium finishes didn't go unnoticed. 5 stars across the board! As our first gathering post covid, the home truly made it that much more special, we can't wait to return!

3 story town home. Top level has kitchen, living room and deck with hot tub.main floor has 2 master suites, large boot room and single car garage. Basement stairs enter living area with adjoining master suite and bunk room. Everything was as promised and place clean and fairly new. Very hot couple of summer days with no a/c, house cooled down nicely with windows open. Good water pressure for showers. Gas stove. All in all nice Vrbo.

Golden getaway
The house was beautiful, clean and had everything we needed. The driveway and garage were a little narrow but still able to park our car and truck with trailer. We had a fantastic family getaway and enjoyed the skiing as well as sledding. Thanks for the memories.

Amazing mountain house
This place is fantastic. Expansive kitchen and living space with lots of room for the family. Well stocked and easy to use. The hot tub is a bonus after a long day on the mountain.
I couldn’t figure out the stereo system so make sure you have back up music.
Note: there is a camera above the hot tub.

Amazing Property
We had a pretty good experience with the property as well as the property manager. Highly recommend this property for guests traveling to Golden for a weekend or more. We'd love to stay here in one of the winters.

Great views, great hot tub and great set up
Really nice to have each room as a master room so everyone got there own bathroom and shower. Large space, technically it’s a townhouse but feels more like a detached house, only touching wall is the basement to the garage. Was a great location for biking for us.

Lovely stay
The home is beautiful and well appointed. It worked well for the two families in our party. As other reviewers have commented, the ski in/out is a bit tricky but is doable. The views were spectacular, especially from the hot tub. Some nice (unexpected touches) were the basket of hand knit slippers which kept our toes warm and the basket of flip-flops which made the fews steps to the hot tub in the snow much nicer.

Very nice house with a great view
Family had a great time Easter weekend. There was lots of room for the kids to play. Loved the bunk room for the kids and the 3 master suites for the adults and of course the hot tub. Would stay here again if in the area. Thanks for opening up your house to us.

Sweet Digs, Great mountain!!
Our clan of 12 (6 adult and 6 children) had ample room in this well designed Town home. The kids loved staying in the basement bunk room while the adults could be two floors up enjoying the main living room and hot tub. The other three bedrooms were essentially masters which was nice for space. The ski in was great, a run right from the top was easy to find. The ski out was harder due to seasonal thaw (we still did it after lunches) but it's literally a 2 min drive with lots of parking at the base. Gabriel was very communicative and helpful. We will be back. Oh and the views off the deck are ridiculously gorgeous. Great stay.

Great place for larger family groups. Comfortable beds and ample linens. Well stocked kitchen.
We had a great stay! Weather was superb so we were able to take advantage of the large deck. The upstairs is very comfortable for lounging too. We’ll set up for a ski family. Walk in the back of the garage and drop skis and boots off then enter mudroom to take off ski clothes! Would stay there again for sure.

The perfect family ski chalet!!
This property turned out to be even better in person. We stayed there with three couples and two children and all had our own comfortable, private spaces. The home itself is in perfect condition and everything was very clean. They have done a great job stocking the kitchen and bathrooms with more then enough dishes, towels, and pantry essentials. It was great to be able to warm up by the fire in the morning and then hop in the hot tub after a day of skiing. We would definitely recommend this place and look forward to staying here again in the future!

Gorgeous modern mountain home
Beautiful spacious house at the base of Kicking Horse mountain resort. Excellent communication with Gabriel, very responsive to our inquiries. Lots of space - we had 6 adults and 7 kids stay and we all had beds! (And king beds and ensuites for the adults too!). A wonderful place to stay!

Family friendly ski in/out
This was such a well stocked home from linens/towels to kitchen condiments and cooking appliances/tools. Knives that actually cut, pots and pans and everything else you could need. We've stayed in a lot of different homes and this by far was one of the best. The ski in and out was easy and super close to the Cross country so trails as well. Hot tub offered excellent mountain views and the beds were beyond comfortable. Great communication with the manager too. We'll be back!

Beautiful home!
We loved staying at this house. Everything we could have wanted was there. The beds were great, the furnishing and really just everything was perfect. Time had obviously gone into making sure that instructions were provided for guests and our stay was amazing! We would definitely recommend this property for large families.

Amazing Home with view
Stayed 5 nites in July 2018. Truly enjoyed our stay. The house was like brand new with a very clean modern look. Kitchen was amazing! Had all the amenities you could ask for.
Truly loved the Kicking Horse Mountain area and we were very happy with location of our stay. We rode the gondola to the top 2 times (which is amazing if you saw our itinerary). The views from the top were breathtaking! Loved the food at restaurant on top and even hiked to top of the nearby peaks! Amazing trails!
The only negatives were minor.
Negatives:
1. No AC (common for this area, but not from where we live) which wasn't a major problem for us since we were gone during the really hot times of the day, but there was a heat wave and the top floor temperature was pretty warm. The bottom 2 floors temperatures were nice and cool, no problems there. But I couldn't imagine cooking with how hot it was. The top floor is the living area. We're spoiled being from Texas so we're not use to no AC.
2. The chairs on the outside patio were raw wood and not well built. Small splinters were caught in our leggins and they were not comfortable at all. I would highly recommend replacing them with same style, only plastic.
3. Needs to be a ceiling fan in every bedroom. The bedroom with the 4 bunk beds did not have one and was warm for sleeping. Once the window was left open all night it was fine.
4. Front door lock system is finicky, we had to giggle it to get it open. It needs to be tweaked so that it opens without a problem.
The home decor was outstanding and we loved the modern fresh look and feel of the home. Would DEFINITELY stay here again! Gabriel (Mgr) was VERY responsive with questions I had which was great!

Beautiful Stay
Gabriel was very helpful and available immediately when we had initial trouble locating the VRBO. The home is beautiful and modern, it was the perfect stay. All of the amenities were brand new, and I'm sure is even more beautiful in the winter.

The property was stunning, super well equiped and extremely comfortable with luscious king size beds and nice bedding. The ski in/ski out was a bit of a stretch, you actually had to walk to the lift, so that was a little disappointing.
