The location is in a quiet friendly neighborhood close to nice spots like the Mountain History Museum. Check-in was simple, the house was accessed using a number code. The pool was already prepared for us and the barbecue grill was set up to use. Very clean house, and plenty of space for our big group including toddlers and their great-grandparent with limited mobility. Would definitely recommend and consider returning

My girlfriends and I decided to go away for the weekend to relax and reconnect and Chateau Bernina delivered. First of all, check in is seamless! I never met the owner and I had a question for Michael and he responded immediately..very impressive response!! The Chateau was clean and the home was equipped with essentials in the kitchen and bathrooms. The bedrooms were clean and the beds were all comfy. The jets for the jacuzzi in the master bedroom did not work, but the indoor jacuzzi and sauna worked well. The open floor plan had a fantastic great room which included the kitchen, medium sized butcher block and a table with four chairs in the kitchen as well as a dining table that seats 10. There was a ceiling fan with a light fixture, but the bulb was really dim. That was a small thing that we didn't worry about, we worked with it! The neighborhood is very quiet and friendly. We saw folks walking and jogging so we joined in and made friends. Everything advertised was corrent and our stay was wonderful. Our group will return to Chateau Bernina!

This is our second stay at the chateau and there are many more stays to come. We decided on our very first stay last year, that this will be our family vacation house from now on. In the past, Christmas was our only family vacation but since we found this chateau, our family decided to add a second family vacation's per year because we can’t stay away! (The Host) Micheal, is very pleasant, professional and always available. We couldn’t be happier and can’t wait to make more beautiful family memories here for years and years to come.

Love this place. Plenty of room to spread out You could go read a good book down stairs abd not be bothered by anyone.
You could go play pool can even Go in the Jacuzzi and be all by yourself. Loved the kitchen. It had plenty of counter space to make lots of things on. We will be back again

Stayed here over thanksgiving and it was incredible. Jacuzzi, Sauna, communicative host, and TONS of space. We had 4 families and it was plenty of space. Kitchen was remodeled and there's additional furniture. highly recommend.

The property is beautiful. There was enough for all of us (8) people to have our own place to sleep. It was homey and beautiful. One thing though the jacquizzi wouldn’t heat up. We pushed the button more than once. All and all we had a wonderful time. Would go

Lake Arrowhead HOA does NOT allow renters to use the Lake. Horrible experience and disrupted my family Vaca. GO TO BIG BEAR INSTEAD DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS

We had a wonderful time at Chateau Bernina! It was even bigger than I expected from the website. The entire house was very clean. We had everything we needed for our entire stay! The kitchen is fabulous with everything you need to make large dinners. We all thoroughly enjoyed the sauna, jacuzzi and pool table. Every room had a TV with Peacock and Netflix. Lake Arrowhead was so close-- 5 minute drive. We had planned on spending all our time at the lake but honestly, once we saw the house and explored ALL the floors, no one wanted to leave it! I will absolutely stay there again!

We absolutely loved this place. It was extremely comfortable. It had everything for us to just stay here and relax. The stores are eeally close and plenty of trails are all around it.
The location is fantastic. Kitchen has everything and the outside deck is very spacious and relaxing. Very cabin/mountain like home, with tons of trees around it.
It has smart TV’s through out all the rooms and table games to entertain yourself and family.
We were 9 and were extremely comfortable, there are so many living areas that you could not hear other people in other rooms. Amazing, we’ll definitely come back.

We take a yearly trip with the family ( three generations) and need a big place that we can all enjoy together. Chateau Bernina was a great place for all of us to relax and enjoy quality time together, playing games and hang out. The house itself has so much available you don't even need to go anywhere to have a good time. Beautiful house, great location...a really good time. Thank you!

Michael is very responsive and a wonderful host! House was situated in a great location in Lake Arrowhead. It is very spacious and the indoor pool/hot tub was a big plus since we couldn't go outside because of the weather. The kitchen is very open and we cooked for the family the entire time. We all had a wonderful time and couldn't ask for a better place to create great family memories. Thank you so much Michael!

The pool/ jacuzzi was a hit! It has swim jets for those that want to swim before warming up the pool for jacuzzi time. It was inside the house which was perfect since the weather outside was in the high 30’s- mid 40’s at night. It also had a sauna in the pool room. We also enjoyed playing billiards and spending time in the game room. There was ample space for 12 people to not feel crowded or claustrophobic. The kitchen had everything we needed. The bbq grill worked great! We only wish the weather wasn’t so cold that we could enjoy the patio area. But it has a large dining table where we gathered for our meals. My two nieces age 6 and 4 loved the kids loft space. If they weren’t there playing, there were in the pool.

Great Vacation Property
We had a very nice weekend with friends at Chateau Bernina. This is a unique property for many reasons but for us it was the location, ample space inside the property and outdoors, fantastic jacuzzi and the sauna. All other features like appliances, furniture, etc. were functioning and in good condition. Overall, we enjoyed our time there and will definitely come back. Michael - Спасибо!

Summer Lake Vacation 2022
We had an adventurous week exploring our local mountains. This home is a great local just minutes from the village and close to various lakes. We did day trips to Big Bear and Lake Gregory as well as enjoyed a couple of days at Lake Arrowhead. Michael was helpful in working through the new STR processes of the Arrowhead Lake Association. His home is perfectly laid out with many rooms and bathrooms and a wonderful kitchen that accommodated our large and hungry family. We enjoyed evenings playing games and cards on the deck, long walks with the dogs, and the extremely large spa (we called it a spool (spa/pool) was a big hit with the kids.

Perfect Family Vacation Home
Chateau Bernina immediately felt like home. Beautiful layout with comfortable living spaces. Perfect amount of bedrooms and bathrooms for large families. This home provides you with all the amenities needed. Breath taking views from the patio, extremely large indoor jacuzzi and sauna, kitchen essentials, linens and more. My family and I enjoyed ourselves so much, we booked an additional last minute night. Only suggestion I have, would be for the photos of the listing to be updated. There have been several positive changes done according to previous reviews and suggestions. The photos do not do justice. Was presently surprised upon our arrival. Big shout out to host Mike for his quick responses. Will definitely book this home for future vacations.

Plenty of room and space, needs some TLC
It was more of a 3.5 star place. But we rounded up. We (5 couples, no kids) had a nice stay. It was nice to have 5 bedrooms with proper queen or king size beds and almost one full bathroom per each couple. Rooms were spacious. We enjoyed the hot tub (its so big you can call it mini-pool) and sauna very much (although you can see some moldy spots) Downsides: there’s a lot of carpet/rugs in the house (including bathrooms) with visible stain marks. There were not enough towels in the house and washer/dryer didnt work very well. Oven didnt work. When we notified the agent, he acted like it was the first time he heard about it (although i can see in the review before ours it was brought up)

Very large and spacious
My family had a wonderful stay. We enjoyed the spa and the sauna very much. The house was so spacious. The rooms were the perfect size. Now for the downside; we ran out of toilet paper (1 roll per bathroom), towels were wet and the carpet in the bathroom smelled of mold. The oven didn’t work, and the refrigerator took 12 hours to work. The pots and pans were low quality and the decor was outdated. Again, overall we enjoyed staying and had great family time.

In a few words, it was absolutely perfect. Everything we ever needed was provided and then some. Awesome place and amenities were of many, just a perfect place and I can't wait to return.

Fantastic Hiking Base
We were a group of 12 hiking friends. The house provided ample space and the number of bathrooms was a real bonus. Very homey feel, patio and hot tub also great.
We came with two large cars and that was ok, I cannot see 4 cars parking at property.
A few hiccups were solved quickly, as Michael was very responsive.
Overall a great stay on a great house.

Perfect
We had my wife's 70th birthday party at the Chateau Bernina. This cabin is PERFECT! We had quite a few people and this cabin has plenty of space to hang out in small groups, play games, pool, hang out in the large patio. When it's time to come together there are plenty of rooms to accommodate everyone and when it's time to eat, we could all fit at the large dining room table. And don't get me started about the huge spa and sauna room.... Just Perfect. We'll have another birthday celebration next year. We'll be back. Thanks Michael!
