I shouldn't be wasting vacation thinking about this stuff
No phone call yesterday
We are on our 4th day of vacation and still can't use the back yard
There is 3 piles of dog poop, corn on the cob on the ground, fire ant hills and a dead rat
The pool is unsuitable to swim in. Algae, lots of debri and a slim that covers the top of the CONTAINER POOL.
Inside lots of gnats, dirty dishes put back with clean ones and showers still dirty from the last vacationers here.
The couch had dog hair on it, was old and dirty. The throw pillows needs to be replaced. Very old and smelly. I was very uncomfortable sitting on the furniture.
Bathroom doors don't give you the privacy that is needed. The latch is very easy to open on the outside of the bathroom.

Great location, few minutes walk from the beach. House was a little run down. Strange smell in the kitchen/bathroom. Upstairs fire alarm didn’t seem to be working… The back yard pool was quite dirty…
The property manager was very responsive and did everything he could to remedy these issues. He did try to get someone out to clean the pool, unfortunately whoever it was didn’t seem to do anything (or maybe just never showed up). The smell is probably just because it’s an older house. The non-functioning fire alarm is a little disturbing. I would think these are checked on a regular basis.
Overall the location was fantastic which may explain the cost. But, I think the rental fee was a bit above the value of the property.

The house was very comfortable—and the fenced in yard was great for our dog. The pool, however, would be dangerous for small children—two steps then deep—and the steps are difficult to get back up on. The neighborhood was great! Quiet street with very little traffic. All I all—a great first experience with VRBO!

My husband and I stayed here with our 3 adult children and 4 year old granddaughter. We love IOP and vacation here annually. Location is awesome! with very short walk to beach. Layout of home very good for family to spend time together. House could be spectacular with a little more maintenance and care.
Cons: Pool had not been vacuumed. Electrical hazard discovered in 1st floor bathroom, but Mgmt co responded immediately (sunday) but couldn't get anyone there until next day. (understandably and ok)
Drawer in kitchen felt like it would fall out every time we opened it. Sink in bathroom upstairs doesn't drain and faucet fell off frequently. Outlet in bedroom upstairs has visible stain from it (we chose to not use that outlet)
The beds upstairs were horrific!! the front room bed slanted 6+ inches lower on right side of bed. We propped pillows between the mattress and boxspring and placed books under the leg of bed to try to level the bed frame. But the mattress was still very concave--to the point that I slept on the couch 1/2 the week. Little maintenance issues--battery operated candles but didn't work.
Aethestics of backyard pretty but very very buggy. Would be nice to have outdoor citronella or other bug-prevention. We bought some candles but could only find small ones and they didn't do the trick.
Our recommendation (obviously only our opinion--but white lights would go a long way in from and back yard to elevate ambiance and something to deter/prevent bugs.

We love the location on Isle of Palms: pretty area, very close to beach, easy to get to race start. We were also close to restaurants on the island and in Mount Pleasant. There are nearby Catholic Churches so that we were able to attend Palm Sunday service while visiting. Watching the sunrise on Sunday morning was beautiful.

What a great stay! Only a 5min walk the beach. Plus the house is located on a dead end street. So it’s nice and quiet and no thru traffic. We enjoyed the house but the location was the best part.
Charleston is a little far away but doable. This place is all about the beach.
Smaller, personal touches would have been nice. We normally use apps like Vrbo because we like the personal touches of the owner. This place was more like staying at a nice hotel.

Great Fun
We had a great time in the Isle of Palms. This place was pet friendly and had a totally fenced in back yard. It was a short walk to the beach and very close (walkable) to the marina. It is a great walking neighborhood to walk with the dogs. We even walked to the park with the dogs ( kids road their bikes). Great playground for the kids. The pool in the back was great. The 2 grandkids (8 and 6) loved it and wanted to be in the entire time. The dining and kitchen area are a little tight, space wise, but it worked.

Relaxation
We looked specifically for a place we can bring our dog. This home did not disappoint. It was spacious enough for all of us to enjoy a vacation and not get on each other's nerves. It was close enough to the beach and all of the amenities were perfect.

Not ready for prime time
Pool was covered, filthy and not full. Arrived Saturday and no one came to do anything about the pool until Wednesday and it wasn’t ready to swim in until Thursday and we left Friday. It was gorgeous weather the entire time we were there and no pool to use. The backyard is barren with multiple metal landscaping liners all over the yard that protruding up from the ground. Making the backyard a dangerous place for little kids.

Great stay!
Our stay with a group of 10 women was great! No more than a 5 minute walk to the beach and a 5 minute drive to the grocery store. The property was clean and checkin was super easy through a lockbox. We loved the front porch and the backyard area to be able to be outside and the AC worked very well in the house. The room that is listed as two twins actually had a twin and a full, a great surprise.
We were able to get Ubers and such to get us downtown but waits could be long so plan accordingly when thinking about your weekend and how big of a group you have! We loved staying in IOP because of the beach location.
Suggestions/heads up: the kitchen is bare bones in terms of cooking staples and wish that some cooking supplies were included (salt, pepper, oil, etc). If you plan to cook, you’ll need to purchase kitchen staple items unless the property makes those updates. We’d also advise bringing your own shampoo and conditioner.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come back!

Excellent Location
Location was perfect, short walk to beach, short drive to shops & restaurants. The property management company was top notch! When we arrived the patio & contain pool were covered in leaves/pollen/debris from a passing storm. After calling them to express disappointment- they immediately came to the location and got everything in working order! And Kyle checked on us the next day to ensure the pool was working, everything was clean and the temperature was set to our liking. They were soooo amazing and really cared! We had a great time and can’t wait to come back.

This was a clean, comfortable home. Great location and stocked well.
Maybe a few new beach chairs for the 22 season would be a good idea.

Amazing Thanksgiving getaway!
We had an amazing Thanksgiving getaway at this Isle of Palms property. It’s about a block off the beach, but we walked there every day or twice a day most days. Being dog friendly was a huge plus for my daughter who lives in the area with her dog which we got to enjoy the whole week, and my other daughter who came in from Ohio bringing her dog. It was just such a joy to have our whole family in one spot. The pool in the back is very interesting, it was a little too cold to really enjoy it, I think it would be great for a summer fall or spring, but the winter is just a bit too cold to utilize the pool fully.

Nice home close to the beach
Home was nice and property manager was prompt in responding. Just a short walk to the beach. The cleaning of the home could have been better. Some eating utensils were not properly cleaned. There was hair found on two of the blankets in the bedrooms.

Great girls trip!!
Stayed here for a long girls weekend. The place was perfect size for 10 of us. Short convenient walk to the beach. We were also able to easily get into Charleston City center. Very convenient short drive to the supermarket. We wanted an earlier check in and communication was easy and simple with property managers. Thank you for a great weekend!

Great location, dirty house
When we first arrived at the house, we were hit with the overwhelming smell of dog urine and musk. The house did not appear to be thoroughly cleaned and several dead and alive bugs were found throughout the house when we arrived. The sinks in each bathroom started to clog after the first use and the toilet seat in the second floor bathroom was completely broken. The pool cover was also broken, so we were forced to leave it open throughout our stay. We have stayed in many homes on IOP and this was by far our least enjoyable experience. Even the sheets felt gross and uncomfortable. The proximity to the beach is very nice, but not worth coming back to a house that was that gross.

Tiny Pool house was great!
My family enjoyed our stay and the small pool, which we used each day. All appliances including the TV system worked well. Good location with easy access to the beach and to Charleston.

Good trip
Pros: 4 bedrooms, on a dead end street. Close walk to the beach and dog friendly.
Property manager was very responsive to our needs! Pool was clean.
Cons: The backyard did not have mulch or grass. It was all mud and the dog got very messy! The backyard was barely usable due to this. Pool cover was extremely hard to remove due to rain water accumulation, and no instructions were left.

Had a wonderful time!
This house was clean and had enough room for the 8 of us! We enjoyed the front patio and the back patio! We grilled out a couple of times and we all had fun in the pool! We really loved how the walk to the beach was a short 4 minutes. It was a great week full of nice memories!

The best of beach living!
I love staying in older beach homes, and this one has just enough of the classic beach vibe with plenty of updates. The kitchen is well stocked, the grill was in excellent working condition with grill tools and brush. Breezy, comfortable bedrooms for 8 folks and a large living room that was perfect for game playing or watching TV. The house sits on a quiet no outlet street with easy access to the beach. I loved being able to take my two corgis to the beach. The property managers were really helpful with whatever small incidents needed addressing.
We spent a lot of time in the front yard and front seating area, but I imagine the shaded back yard will be a plus for hot summer nights. The little pool is a fun feature. I would definitely stay at 4005 Cameron Boulevard again.

Exactly what we were looking for
Very cute place. The layout worked out great for our family including a fenced in yard for our pup. The location is great - walking distance to the beach and a short car ride to everything you could need including fabulous Charleston

Excellent
I always enjoy my stay at 4005 Cameron Blvd., on Isle of Palms as we love the house and its grounds and the wonderful location.
The new addition of the container pool is lovely as we enjoy the deck when we are there even though the weather is too cool to use during our stay.
The short distance to the beach is a plus for me to take the dogs for a walk.
We love the service Sweetgrass provides for taking out the heavy garbage cans during garbage and recycling days.

Wonderful House Lots of Room
We really enjoyed staying in your house. Lots of room for everyone. Not far from the beach. It would have been nice if a TV was in all bedrooms. They really don't cost that much now and you can put a roku and get like Netflix. Anyway would stay again.

Perfect house for our family vacation
We enjoyed our stay; house is in very good shape and appears updates are being done constantly. Great for our large family gathering and a few minute walk to the beach.

Great Location, not such great amenities
If you are staying at this property, be sure to bring everything you need. We had 9 guests and were provided with one roll of paper towels, 1 extra roll of toilet paper for the house and one extra trash bag. We had to Uber to the store to get basic necessities. The outside trash can was full the first day we arrived, so not only was there only one extra bag, we had to use to recycle bin for all other trash because it was full. We were super grateful to be staying so close to the beach, but the floor was very sandy upon arrival, the floor had not been cleaned and the bottoms of our feet were covered in sand and dirt, you had to wear shoes around. We enjoyed our stay there were just some things we wish would have been taken care of/ provided before arrival.

Okay stay, cute space indoors
We had a pleasant stay. I would like to give you a better review but a few things could be improved. I say this only because I have a beach rental myself and would want to know. First of all, get a new gas grill, the one at the house is DANGEROUS and a fire hazard. There seems to be oils that accumulated from whatever has been cooked we tried to grill once and there was black smoke coming out and all our veggies were charred we had to thrown out our meal. More importantly, the fire in the grill was raging we had to pull it away from the side of the house and dump the accumulated oil catching pot beneath the grill. Secondly, the floor was very dirty we had to buy supplies to mop when we got there and all rags were black. Perhaps speak to your cleaning folks to give the floors a twice over, not just once. Again, I have a beach rental and understand sand coming in. However, this was more just caked on dirty than sandy. Lastly, some of the kitchen supplies could get an upgrade. Just replace the two nonstick skillets, the cutting knives and supply a small sponge with the dish detergent. I know these seems small but nice small touches keeps renters coming back. Oh, the landscaping could use some work and heating the pool would be nice. It was too cold, we couldn't use it our entire stay.

Good location
This house met most of our needs and the location was excellent. A short walk to the beach was easy. The home was comfortable, stylish, and dog friendly. We were a little disappointed that there were only two comfortable chairs by the little pool in the backyard. We ended up gathering more out front which wasn't as pleasant as the backyard. The front patio could use some updating. It would also be nice to have an outdoor table. The kitchen was cute, but small. All in all the house was fine and we had a great time. Memories made!

Great Location - Puppy Friendly
This was lovely small home in the perfect location. Accommodated the six of us and a small dog perfectly. Just a five minute walk to the beach. Fully fenced in yard and small aquarium pool were great for relaxing in the evening. Would stay here again.

Family Fun Week
Our week at this property was wonderful. We found the house perfect for our needs. Each part of the family's requests were met. We had pet friendly, pool in the backyard and very close to the beach. You couldn't have asked for a better commute to the beach. Seriously, from door to beach with all of your stuff...5 minutes. Also, being on the dead end street, there wasn't much traffic at all. The house was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked. Would stay again for sure.

Great stay, pool and beach.
We rented this house with my parents for our CoronaCation. It was the perfect set up for trying to get away, but still distance. The beach was a short walk and the new pool, while small was perfect for our group. I’d say you’re probably maxed out at 4-5 in the pool at a time. The house was as described in the listing. There’s a pretty well-stocked, but small kitchen. Usually kitchen size might not matter much on vacation, but we did not go to any restaurants. So we either cooked or did carry out. It got a bit crowded in there, we would have appreciated a bakers rack or some extra shelving for all of the snacks because there are no cabinets. The adirondacks out front are a nice place to sit and chat.
The house is set up nicely for two families, two bedrooms downstairs and two up. You can get a bit of privacy and separate bathrooms. We had seen the review of another guest about all the beds being uncomfortable, we do agree the mattresses are not going to give you that amazing sleep you might be looking for on vacation. I like that this house is located on a dead end, there’s really no traffic on the street to worry about. We loved being able to bring our pups along for vacation. We rented bikes, walked to the beach daily, and swam to our hearts content. Some recommendations I would give to ownership: put more seating on the back patio, that’s where we tended to gather. Get a new grill, the current one is in sad shape. Provide some beach gear or at least a wagon. The walk is not long, but it feels longer in the hot sun and humidity, when you’re toting all the gear. Finally, new mattresses, I slept in both of the upstairs beds and it could have been better. The management company was very responsive with the one issue that we did have. The first morning we woke up to make coffee and discovered the coffee pot didn’t work. Management had a new one over by noon. This was our first visit to the Charleston area and overall we were very happy with our stay.

Great home, lived the location
The house was great. We loved the decorations, it was clean, and in a great location - very easy walk to the beach
That said the beds were awful, in all 4 bedrooms. Most uncomfortable mattresses we ever slept on and the beds creaked and moaned at the slightest movement. We left a day early just so we didn’t have to sleep in the beds again. With everything we liked about the home we would not stay again because of the beds.

the vacuum did not function properly, but the house overall was fantastic. It was a great family vacation spot, and the people who worked for the property management group were friendly and prompt.
