Flawless, would be the only way to describe our stay. The merging of authentic Portuguese hospitality and new world comforts makes this farm to table boutique property a gem amongst the Douro Valley.
From my morning runs through the vineyard, to my husband and I taking the paddle boards at our leisure out on the Douro with the whole river to ourselves. The incredible sunsets we witnessed from our private pool villa and sunrises we enjoyed accompanied with the most deliciously customisable breakfasts.
The details, it’s all about the details and with João leading the team, everything we required was consistently attended to with utmost care. The creative young chefs provided Michelin star level dishes and to be able to celebrate my husbands 40th in the beautiful outdoor glasshouse with the most gorgeous of meals and birthday cake amongst friends was surreal.
After a long year in London we felt revived from our short stay and would return in a heart beat.

We stayed two nights in room 6 in the main house.
Not large but cosy and well decorated room. Outside own parking available at the property, located ~500m from the main house with readly available shuttle service provided in nice electric UTVs.

+ Free outdoor activities such as bike, kayak, stand-up paddle, walking around the vineyards, etc
+ Nice options of tasting experiences to book
+ Amazing breakfast: good variety and quality of fruits, breads, ham, cheese, coffee, eggs, etc
+ Confortable and clean rooms: everything working perfectly in the room
+ Very quiet and private rooms
+ Good quality sheets and pillows
+ Staff super friendly and helpful
+ Good quality wines locally produced
+ Great pool area and bar service
+ Complimentary coffee, tea and water in the room
Not many alternatives of restaurants in ~5km range (not the easiest roads to be driving around all the time).

Absolutely stunning stay in the Duoro Valley. We only had one night unfortunately- but we wish we could have stayed longer. Tricky to get to- our GPS sent us the wrong way a few times- but well worth it to get away from the crowds and find a little private slice of paradise.

This place is just like heaven!
everything is perfect, from the fresh gourmet food and wine, the kindest staff, the beautiful rooms (which are being cleaned twice daily!!), the views and all facilities.
It’s suitable and welcoming for couples as well as for families with small children.

The hotel was amazing! very nice rooms, clean and comfy. the family room was great with lots of board games to play. we were surprised to find out that there is an indoor pool and gym (good surprise (; ). The restaurant was very good! great food at dinner and also at breakfast. And last, the view from the hotel is amazing!

Truly could not have been more perfect. The view was breathtaking, the rooms and facilities were immaculately decorated with no expense spared, the food was spectacular, and the staff were delightful. Nothing could have been better.

Perfect place to spend quiet holidays and enjoy nature. You're surrounded by vineyards and can swim, paddle or kayak on the Douro. Everyone is very nice, and the restaurant is very good.
At dinner, we would have liked a lighter alternative to the full menu.

this was our splurge stay. walking distance from train station, stunning scenery, beautiful farm house and lovely rooms. food is terrific. staff treats you like family. amazing experience. kayaks, paddle boards, boat, bikes, vineyard, spa. what’s not to like??
a trash can in the room, tissues and wash cloths would have been nice. these are all trivial, I know. bathroom was small.

Beautiful location with breathtaking views of the Douro and surrounding mountains.
Very attentive staff. Excellent breakfast, lunch and dinner. Winetasting with Pedro and the Greenhouse dinner are exceptional and not to be missed.
Bathroom/Shower layout- small shower due to bathtub taking up too much space. Short bed- 6 ft tall person will have feet dangling of the bed.

Very beautiful hotel in exceptionally gorgeous location. Staff were excellent - friendly and super helpful. Loved Joana, Joao, Antonio - great people. Very good food / wine and service and so relaxing. We missed the wine tasting but loved the wines we had at the hotel. We will be back - it was very special. Massages were great too and it was great to be able to use the in-house driver for reasonable prices - Riccardo was fab.

We don’t even know where to start - the property is the most beautiful place we’ve ever been! right when we arrived we couldn’t believe where we were. you are surrounded by nature with all the 5 star amenities, as well as a 5 star view. absolutely stunning!

Every meal we had was very delicious . There were many choices for breakfast, very much appreciated the variety. We had a very special 7 course dinner and wine pairing in the greenhouse and it was outstanding

I would love to keep this place a secret. Everything about it is wonderful. The rooms, the meals, the views, the staff, the facilities are all outstanding. Two things you should know: it is a bit remote and it is not easy to go somewhere else for dinner.

We were only here one night but we wish we got to stay longer. The property and view is spectacular and the hotel is so beautifully renovated every little detail is well thought out and adds to the charm they want to achieve. The staff is so accommodating they will go over and above for you. And the food is incredible, the best food we’ve eaten so far in Portugal. And the wine from their Winery is truly amazing. We came with our 1 y.o son and we weren’t expecting much in terms of it being family friendly, but they were very accommodating and there was a chicken coup, coy fish pond, and bike seat for him to ride with us on which entertained him.
Honestly nothing. Maybe would’ve been easier with an activity for kids but we really weren’t expecting anything like that.

We can’t recommend this place highly enough! We had such an enjoyable stay. The location and quality of accomodation are an absolute 10/10, but it is the attention to detail and amazing service which really makes this place so special.
Diogo and his wife, and all of the staff were always friendly and helpful and a pleasure to deal with. We actually had an incident where a member of our group got injured and had to go to hospital. Diogo took hours out of his night to drive us there and wait around until all was okay - legend!
The best hotel experience we have had. Do yourself a favour and book before it is too hard to find availability.
