Gail and Rob are excellent hosts and gave a lovely welcome (with Dexter). The apartment was spotless, super clean, has everything you need and is very comfortable. I will be back, hopefully with a motorbike next time! Highly recommend Stone Eater, loved it!

Very friendly welcome by Gail, who was clearly very proud of Stone Eater - and rightly so. A lot of effort has gone into not only making sure that the location was clean and warm for our arrival, but that everything we could possibly need had already been considered and provided. It was made clear to us that anything we needed, Gail and Rod were happy to hear it - and we genuinely felt that was the case (though there wasn't anything we needed). After a day of walking around the area, there was a genuine comfort in knowing that we could return to the lazyboy-style armchair with the provided blankets and a nice warm electric fire by our side. Bliss.

Without having the power to quieten the wind or make that uphill walk back to the Stone Eater from the centre a bit easier, Gail and Rod have done everything possible to make this a brilliant stay.

Modern cosy well equipped stone build spacious accommodation . Rod/Gail helpful with local pubs etc and accommodated us running late. unfortunately due to trip being family visit couldn't walk the lovely area on the doorstep. we will be back and doing this next visit. Many thanks.
