The location is beautiful and the house spacious and perfect for a family. We had a great trip here, would definitely recommend happy days surf school in Peniche. Thankyou for a great holiday!

I have been using vacation rentals since they used to come in a catalogue. I know, old, right? I’ve stayed in dozens over the years. This has been my favourite place ever. I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this property. It was classy without pretensions. Friendly, warm, welcoming. Cozy with lots of space. It was obvious that the owners put a lot of thought into making sure you had everything you needed. Easy to find things. Everything you need for gourmet cooking. My husband was well pleased with what the kitchen offered. They even had a mortar and pestle!!! Good wine and champagne glasses. Combined washer/dryer. I couldn’t figure out the dryer part but that was no one else’s fault. Super clean. It was obvious this is a well lived in place but everything, and I mean everything, was spotless. Not in an intimidating, be careful, way. But a friendly, ok you are my guests and I don’t want you to have any complaints kind of way. And of course the view was amazing. Three patios I had a little trouble with booking the place but Siobhán and HomeAway were great with figuring it out. You need a car as there is nowhere close to buy groceries or eat out. And there is a flight of stairs if mobility is a problem. My complaints - I didn’t book long enough and it rained 2 of the 5 days we were there. Certainly not the owner’s fault. If I ever go back to Portugal I will arrange my flight to book this place again. Huge thanks 😊!

We had a fantastic holiday at this townhouse. It had everything we could have needed as a family, was very spacious and an amazing location just seconds from the beach. The pool was a perfect size for the children to have fun in and we had it to ourselves most of the time. Having a mini market, restaurants and the facilities at the Marriott hotel on the door step was excellent and travelling around the area was very straightforward. We had to contact the owners due to a small problem with the lights, which was dealt with quickly and professionally. Would highly recommend.

We absolutely loved our stay at Praia Del Rey. The house has simply breathtaking views - it was so peaceful to sit on the balcony with a glass of wine and just watch the waves roll in. Everything in the house was turned out to an impeccably high standard and we wanted for nothing! Thank you so much for a blissful holiday!

With Portugal as popular and busy as it is, the location of this townhouse provided a peaceful escape. The property is exactly as described - very spacious, comfortable, and well equipped. As it sits closest to the sea, one is scarcely aware of the other residences surrounding. We were well positioned for day trips to Peniche, Obidos, Nazare and beyond. But it was always a delight to return to the sound, sight and naturalness of the sea.

The house is a well proportioned and luxurious two bedroom home with the living rooms upstairs. Everything in the house is top quality and well designed. The views of the beach and the setting sun from the large terrace are breathtaking. Good swimming pools and local amenities but you will need a car to get to bigger shops and busier tourist areas. Obidos, Peniche and Caldas da Rainha are all well worth visiting. That is if you can drag yourself away from the beach and pool! We are a family of six and used the very comfy sofa bed to accommodate our smallest children. We were certainly more than comfortable as there is loads of room. A fab property.

I have spent two weeks in this house with my father and son and we loved the beautiful views and the comfortable stay with well equiped kitchen, living room and bedrooms. I would recommend this house and would always get back here. Praia del Rey itself is a wonderful place with eyeswide beaches, clesr water and clean air. You can walk barefoot to the beach. The parking in front of the beach does not disturb at all.

This is the place you want to stay if you want an unobstructed view of the ocean and easy access to the beach. My college-age girls sat on the patio all day reading and relaxing even though we had a cloudy stay. Beachfront restaurant not open and pool too cool to swim in with the cloudy days. The villa is very well appointed, however, our biggest disappointment was to find the advertised king-sized bed in the master bedroom was simply a double. Only 3 large wine glasses, missing instructions on how to turn on the heat, had to search for the owner's book on the villa, missing instructions on what to do at check-out, eg. where to leave the key, etc. Despite these downsides -- waking up to the sound of the ocean every day -- I would still recommend a stay here! Marriott Hotel concierge very helpful when planning day trips.

We enjoyed our second holiday at this luxury townhouse in Praia D'El Rey in May this year. The view is glorious from the balcony and waking up each morning to the sound of the sea and overlooking the beach was our idea of heaven. A short walk across the beach for drinks at the Club House and Hotel is a must. The Townhouse itself is definitely five star, luxurious, clean and homely with a very well maintained kitchen. Customer Service is excellent and would thoroughly recommend!

Wonderful stay !The pool was clean and not too cold. Ocean was too rough to swim in but we enjoyed the sounds of the waves crashing at night. Place was very clean and quiet. Large rooms and lots of space in the living room/dining room . The deck was a good size and the deck furniture very comfortable. View was spectacular !! It is a view you will never get tired of. Sunsets were amazing! The location is close to the charming town of Obidos where we enjoyed walking the streets and listening to live music played at the gateway to the town and at the castle. It was nice to be able to see the artisan wares in the shops and to enjoy a light lunch. To save on money I would suggest bringing a picnic and eating in the garden off to the north, closer to the castle, off one of the side streets. . A great place to escape for peace and quiet. We had a great couple of weeks staying in the property at Praia D'el Rey. You never get tired of the view from the balcony, watching the sunset every evening. The property is very well equipped with everything you need. It feels more spacious than the photos show and is a real home from home with comfortable beds, outside sofa etc. We also appreciated having BBC1 to watch the olympics! The children enjoyed the pools and beach (although the pools and sea are quite cold!) There are lots of things to do nearby including kyaking, exploring Obidos and the beaches at Peniche and Baleal. We also enjoyed a day further afield going to the caves at Alvados and to Alcobaca. We would definitely recommend the property and would love to come back. My only improvement would be to have an umbrella on the balcony for eating lunch in the shade and some wifi! Thanks for renting out your fabulous property!

Property was very clean and very well maintained. All our needs were catered for and the property is also perfectly located with wonderful sea / beech views. I would recommend this property to families.

A well maintained, well furnished property which lends itself to relaxing and enjoying the wonderfully peaceful area with a fabulous coastline. Great choice of three swimming pools, one on your doorstep and two others only a couple of mins away. Resort has superb golf and tennis and a Marriott hotel with spa. Pin go Doce supermarket at nearby Obidos. Plenty of places nearby to explore - lagoons, walled towns and surfer friendly resorts. Close enough to Lisbon to visit there too. What makes a holiday here is without doubt the view of the sea from your balcony; enjoy your evening wine whilst watching the sun set from a real sea view.

This property is one of the best, if not top on my list of "places I have been to that have left me speechless"😀 The layout is fantastic, the accommodation was impeccable and ultra modern appliances with nothing missing to make a meal in a flash....or more elaborate paella ! Above all the view is breathtaking, having been to most of the Caribbean and recently Hawaii I can say without a doubt that the terraces cannot be beat for their unobtrusive vistas and gorgeous sunsets. The only issue that I had was not with the villa itself but with the hotel Marriott on the resort.... Astronomically overpriced and pretentious ...... Thank you Siobhan for sharing your piece of paradise.....so stunning and beautiful we found ourselves not wanting to sleep!

This has probably been one of our favourite holidays for a number of reasons. We loved the townhouse which was even better than the description and photos. Spotlessly clean, comfortable and located on one of the best spots on the resort. When we walked through the door and were greeted with a magnificent view of the sea, the stress of travelling just melted away. Siobhan could not have been more helpful which made the whole process of booking a holiday through Owners Direct so easy and straightforward. We had never been to the Silver Coast before but fell in love with it and especially the beaches which are beautiful and never overcrowded. Even though we only stayed for a week we did hire a car and would do so again. As a family of four it made life easier for getting around the resort and for venturing further afield. We found the information pack on arrival very useful and also the visitors comments book which was full of ideas of places to visit and eat. I would recommend this property to anyone who was thinking about coming to The Silver Coast. Whether you are a golf fan or not; this is an ideal spot for a holiday.

Great location, especially for anyone with a young family. Just a stones throw to a very safe beach and a couple of flights of steps to a choice of two swimming pools. Ideally located to explore further afield, would recommend the beach at Balleal, the dinosaur museum and sitting on the balcony watching the sun set!

We spend a wonderful week in Praia del Rey at the end if June (2014). We couldn't recommend it more. The pictures on the website (although they are great) don't do the place justice. If you are a family with small children (like us) I can recommend both the accommodation and the beautiful location.

Beautiful house, fantastic location, amazing views and only a few yards from the beach, shops, restaurant etc. Most relaxing holiday ever, kids well catered for with pools, beach, coffee shop and numerous activities available. Looked at many properties before booking this one, it is without doubt the best location in the resort. We will be back!

Fabulously clean accommodation, kitchen wonderfully and fully equipped. Living accommodation overlooking sea and beach and with a large terrace with sufficient seating for eating or sunbathing. Cloakroom on entrance corridor a great asset too. Downstairs the sleeping accommodation is light & airy, plenty of storage and with two bathrooms, one en-suite there is enough room for everyone. Access to private terrace and a private balcony on this lower ground floor means you have fresh air, seclusion and shade on demand. A local shop a few steps away means you're never without the essentials and the Italian restaurant has a great terrace for early evening cocktails or dinner. Beach access easy and you can be sunbathing at the water's edge within minutes of leaving the door of accommodation. Pool access for accommodation is just a few steps away too. We needed a car in order to sightsee and access the tennis centre on the resort easily. Obidos is a charming town which deserves a few visits. The local supermarket there has everything you need and more. A great stay, fantastically equipped, just right for a successful and memorable holiday.

Superb property with an ocean view to die for. You walk in and spot the view, instantly dispensing with any stress you arrived with - it will just melt away, I promise you. If you want to explore the area, there is a handy folder with all the information you need to get out and about, contact numbers for local taxi companies; restaurants; activities -everything you need is in that folder. The nearest restaurant is quite literally a hop, skip and a jump - ok, maybe a couple more hops, from your holiday home and again, the view just takes your breath away. I watched many a stunning sunset go down from there, accompanied by Cocktail of the Day. The Clubhouse offers a varied menu, good food and really lovely, helpful staff. The holiday home kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need and the bedrooms are fabulous; the beds are so comfortable - I slept in everyday! I cannot recommend this property highly enough; the owners have clearly made every effort to ensure that as a guest, your needs are met with lots of board games and books available for the evenings as well as a tv and DVD player. I've stayed at this resort several times, different properties first couple of times, but found this gem and will always book this property in future as others cannot compare to this one which is why I've booked for a return visit this Summer. You'll be sorry to leave but oh so glad you went - enjoy :)
