A wonderful location with a great on-site restaurant. Henry the manager was lovely and helpful. Great value for money and the best location in town.

It was very old but had lots of character. No air conditioning in the downstairs rooms but the heater they supplied was adequate. So no complaints really.

A beautiful restored hotel facing the water. The long balcony offers their guest the best views in Victor Harbor. We had a no contact check-in, which worked perfectly. Their instructions were clear and easy to follow. Our budget room had a separate bathroom that was 20m from the room, which was fine. It was large and clean and had the best water pressure. The room itself had a sink and fridge, a comfortable bed . We spent time sitting on the balcony having drinks watching the water.

we enjoyed the feel that a heritage stay brings. we arrived late in the day so the reception had closed but the staff from the restaurant/bar were very pleasant.

unfortunately very overpriced for the room. The room requires good contractors in to paint instead of the shoddy job that was done. Paint not just a bit onto timber work but random slaps of paint on the timber cupboard doors. The curtains required an overhaul as they didn’t fit the window properly, not to mention broken curtain clips resulting in a very light room early in the morning.The idea of the door to the bathroom being able to open outwards so you can sit in the spa bath and view the bay is nice but unfortunately when you want a shower, which is over the bath, the spay of water tends to go on the carpet. I have stayed in lots of hotels but have never had to write a review like this. I prefer to look for the positives but again it was the price for what it is. Such a shame as it has so much potential.
