Amazing place, amazing view

Views are amazing, totally worthy. The stuff is super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is delicious and local products. Rooms are really spacious and very clean

Friendly staff, very clean, and a great view of Mindelo. They changed the bathroom light when it went out in a reasonable amount of time.

Steep uphill walk. We were advised to take a taxi after 10pm instead of walking (the neighborhood didn't seem dangerous but we were told we may have to deal with aggressive panhandlers at night). Neighbors were loud at times.

The room and bathroom, same as whole hotel are clean, rooms are quite atmospheric. Breakfast was OK, especially that it was coupled with a fantastic view from the terrace. Service was fine, though not falling over their heads to be helpful, especially when compared with other places I stayed in Cape Verde. The location is fine, close to the centre, though some walking uphill when coming from downtown.

On the second night of my stay there was an onslaught of mosquitoes. Windows were open all the time as there was no AC, only an electric fan and nobody has warned about the mosquitoes, so I had an unpleasant night. And yes, do not forget earplugs, it is noisy there: dogs and music from the neighbourhood.

Rooms were very big, with airco, nice view from our balcony.

There is a lot of light in the room in the morning. Restaurants are at a 10 minutes walking distance. At night you can’t walk to the city but you have to take a taxi which around 2 euro’s.

It was spotlessly clean. The view is great. Vandenlo (maybe wrong spelling) was extremely helpful.

Just be aware there was no air con in my room, so it might be uncomfortable in very hot weather.

The place is very excellent, the view is unbeatable, the staff very kind. & friendly . Paid extra for our laundry to be done but was not expensive. Will stay again

A lovely place to stay, when you want to enjoy the atmosphare of Mindelo with an amazing view over the city, harbour, etc. Wonderful and always helpful owners / people running the hotel!

The view of Mindelo from the room is wonderful. The staff are great! Be aware it's a steep climb to the hotel but the view is worth it! The room was clean, spacious and breakfast was continental.

Solar Windelo is such a nice place! We loved everything: the breakfast with an amazing view on the harbour, the room nicely decorated and the friendly staff! It is the perfect place to visit Mindelo, with a five minutes walk you can be in the city centre and in the evening you can enjoy the sunset from the terrace.

Staff was very nice and accommodating, they served breakfast early so that we can take it before we take the ferry They upgraded us for free to a bigger room

The nice staff! The vieuw! Once again the people working there, beyond sweet.

The wifi connection in the room was not quite nice. We liked the dog, but also there is a max at least for me personally. I don’t like to be follow around and “play” when I just want to chill.

Breakfast was one of the best that we had during our stay in Cape Verde. Cereal, breads, fruit juice, yoghurts, coffee and fruit. Plus a toaster, You really can't complain. Views from the terrace overlooking the bay were super and the hosts were very friendly and helpful.

Sound travels very easily through the building and the bedroom/bathroom doors don't give you the impression of privacy as they are glass panels with a curtain over them.
