Fantastic location and evening food was great. Seeing the Northern Lights!
The restaurant closed at 10pm and so there was no where to go if in a group except go back to the rooms. we wanted to play games one night but had to wrap the game up early as the restaurant/bar was shutting.
The breakfast menu was poor.
4.2
Nice and cosy restaurant. Excellent location, nice view to lake, 100m walking distance to ski lift, lots of parking space.
4.2
I like the location and the ambiance of the hotel. Basic rooms, but as a ski-in hotel it provides easy access to both the slopes and cross-country tracks. The hotel's restaurant is a good one with a real live fireplace boosting a cozy feel.
Nothing really comes to mind.

location, design and staff was really great.
some things in the interior could use a little update. nothing major.

it is a family run hotel with a care and comfort of the brand hotel. Staff was super friendly, food in the restaurant was fantastic and sauna hot. thank you so much

Location and Hotel itself is great. Spacy rooms and good restaurant.
would have liked to have a electricity pole for car heating

Beautiful hotel right by the lake. Great views from the restaurant/breakfast room. Nice fireplace that gives a great ambiance to the room. Electric Sauna was good too. The rooms are equipped with an electrical clothes dryer which is very thoughtful and was already useful in the fall, so I can only imagine how useful it will be in winter! The location is great as well, just a short walk from Ruka village.
Rooms are a bit dated.

Quiet, clean, free access to sauna, great breakfast.
Restaurant was closed on Sunday evening.

Good location right next to the Talvijärvi lake for relaxing summertime sauna+swimming combo. In the wintertime immediate access to both alpine skiing lifts and cross-country skiing trails. Ample and free parking space. Good location to spot the aurora borealis on a clear night. You can reach the Ruka Village by a short walk from the hotel. Nice electric sauna department and also a wood-burning sauna available separately. Breakfast was good with the typical Finnish choices available (porridge, bread, fruits, cereal, tea, coffee, etc). A burning fireplace gave the breakfast a really beautiful and warm ambiance on an otherwise rainy and gloomy autumn morning. The host of the hotel kindly allowed me to charge my electric hybrid from the wall socket outside the hotel.
The smell of pizza was hanging almost everywhere in the hotel. Probably somehow comes from the hotel kitchen. Even though the smell is sort of nice, it can be annoying in the long run. Luckily at least the insides of my room was without the smell. :)

Sauna for women was cold
Dog feces in breakfast room
Staff was not available at all times only in the morning

Sauna, lake, hotel
Restaurant wasn’t open, which was a pitty as it seemed very nice. Also the breakfast wasn’t quite as good as expected, but it was still very okay. Probably just due to our visit off season.

Location on the lake was great
Sand all over corridor floor. Room floor was also dirty. Staff had the 2nd floor restaurant terrace sound system volume too loud. They were having their own party.
4.2
Good self service, helpful staff, comfortable clean rooms, freshly prepared breakfast!

Located next to both downhill and cross-country skiing, can start the activity straight from the property. Also the village is reachable by an uphill walk from the hotel. The room was clean and had a drying cabinet. Takeaway breakfast was great. For dinner it was possible to order food delivered to your room. A great example of how to handle the covid situation well and I am sure this will pay off with returning customers in the future.
4.2
Nice hotel near the lifts and Ruka Village, take away buffet breakfast was great. Highlight was the sauna and ice swimming place outside. Food from the restaurant was delicious. We had a late check in with great customer service.
Walk to the town was a bit long and slippery, but manageable without a car.
4.2
Location for winter enthusiasts is perfect. Hotel has Sauna and restaurant. Food was good, breakfast also. Rooms are good and equipped with special electric wardrobe dryers for winter equipment. Lake view room is nice addition.
Some attitudes to the details has to be taken into account. For example lamps were not working in the room, plates and forks were dirty during the breakfast. Also, some more light would be nice to have in the room, Now the lightning solution is very dark.
