Perfectly located seaside house with stunning sea views
Das East Cliff House ist ein wunderschönes viktorianisches Cottage, nur wenige Schritte vom Strand und den berühmten Southwold-Strandhütten mit herrlichem Meerblick entfernt. Das Haus wurde kürzlich komplett renoviert und verfügt über eine neue Küche, Badezimmer und Fußbodenheizung. Es gibt 3 Schlafzimmer; ein doppelzimmer, ein zweibettzimmer und ein zimmer mit etagenbetten. Es gibt ein Duschbad, ein Badezimmer mit Badewanne und eine Toilette im Erdgeschoss.
Im Erdgeschoss befindet sich die renovierte Küche mit Kühlschrank, Geschirrspüler, Gasherd und Elektroherd. Die Waschmaschine befindet sich in einem separaten Vorratsraum neben der Küche. Das Klo im Erdgeschoss ist in der Nähe der Hintertür. Wenn Sie von der Küche zur Vorderseite des Hauses gehen, finden Sie das schöne helle Esszimmer, in dem 6 Personen bequem Platz haben und das Meerblick bietet. Schließlich finden Sie das Wohnzimmer, das sich an der Vorderseite des Hauses befindet und die schöne geschwungene Eckwand des Hauses aufweist. Für die kühleren Abende stehen 2 große Sofas und ein kleiner Holzofen zur Verfügung. Der Fernseher bietet freien Zugang zu Netflix sowie den üblichen Kanälen.
In der ersten Etage befindet sich ein Doppelzimmer mit Meerblick, das zu einem kleinen Treppenabsatz mit einem bequemen Stuhl und einer herrlichen Aussicht führt. Ideal zum ruhigen Lesen oder Schlafen! Das Zweibettzimmer verfügt über zwei große Fenster mit herrlichem Blick auf das Grün und das Meer. Das Etagenbettzimmer befindet sich auf der Rückseite des Hauses und ist mit hellen Wänden und bunten Ammern dekoriert.
Draußen auf der Rückseite des Hauses befindet sich ein kleiner Innenhof, der von der Gasse an der Seite des Hauses zugänglich ist und über eine ausziehbare Wäscheleine verfügt. Er bietet Platz für ein paar Fahrräder, Surfbretter usw
Ein kostenloser WLAN-Zugang ist vorhanden.
Bettwäsche und Handtücher werden gestellt, Strandtücher jedoch nicht. Ein Reisebett ist auf Anfrage erhältlich.

Wonderful relaxing break in pretty Southwold spent with family and young grandchild. We love the character of the town and the comforts of East Cliff House which is situated in the perfect location. Thoughtful touch of goodie bag left by owner. Excellent meals at the Swan Hotel, The Sail Loft and of course fish & chips from Sole Bay. Very much looking forward to our next visit.

Perfect location
A lovely place to stay in a perfect location - a great sea view and only two minutes walk to shops, restaurants and pubs. Though there is no private outdoor space we enjoyed our bowls of cereal and cups of tea sat on the benches overlooking the sea on a sunny morning.
Be aware that there are a few changes of level between rooms that can catch you out and the stairs are fairly steep but my 89 yr old Father in law managed fine.
I look forward to staying again one day - not least because there are several interesting books I want to carry on reading!

Brilliant break
We had a wonderful time and East Cliff House is in the perfect location. Everything was as it should be in the house. It's extremely comfortable and its location meant that we were within seconds of the high street with restaurants and shops.

Great location in Sothwold
We were 2 couples and a toddler (16 months old) and this 3 bedroom property was just the the right size for us. The location on the sea front in Southwold could not be better, in easy reach of everything and with good sea views, especially from upstairs.
Communication with Penny. the owner-manager was very easy and all our questions and queries were replied to within minutes.

We had a lovely stay at this charming, welcoming property. It was clean and was equipped with everything we needed.
The property is in a great location next to the sea and our 2 young children loved being on the beach each day even in mid January!!!

This property is just gorgeous- amazing location surrounded by fab places to eat, stunning views, right on a gorgeous beach, immaculately clean, homely, comfy beds and good curtains in the bedrooms (rare at rental properties and so great for a good nights sleep). Wonderful get away with views over the sea
We loved this little cottage. It was in an excellent location on the seafront. There is no outside space but we drank our morning coffee on the benches just outside overlooking the beach. The owner was super helpful and informative. She sorted out a small accident that we had in a very helpful and efficient manner and at minimal cost to ourselves.

Fantastic location!
We had a lovely stay at East Cliff cottage. The cottage is small yet perfectly adequate for a family of 4. The location is absolutely perfect and made popping to the beach with our children easy and effortless. It’s a very short walk to town for supplies meaning we hardly used our car all week.
The only downside to the property is the lack of outdoor space with only a small courtyard. There is a small green out the front of the house with some benches to sit on. This may not suit families with younger children though.
Also the ceiling height in parts of the house is low. My 6ft 4” husband was regularly hitting his head downstairs on light fittings and outside the toilet.
Generally we had a lovely stay in the cottage and Penny was a pleasure to deal with throughout and helped me deal with any problems we had. Thanks Penny for a lovely stay!

The house’s position just above the beach, looking over the green and out to sea is tough to beat.
It’s compact but covers all of the bases and creature comforts.

Fantastic location
East Cliff House is in the perfect location for both the beach and the town. The house is beautifully decorated and has amazing views out to sea. The outside area at the back is big enough to store beach items and wetsuits which was handy. The kitchen is small but has everything you need. Loved our stay here.

Quintessential Southwold
We loved our stay here. Within sight and sound of the beach, the house is filled with light and is comfortable, clean, well cared-for and beautifully decorated. A great shower, big bath and equipped with everything we needed for a family of four. It’s located right in the heart of Southwold but wasn’t too noisy (except for the shouty seagulls).

Beautiful house, perfect location
We’ve long admired this beautiful house from the outside and it was great to get inside. It’s quiet, comfortable and warm with underfloor heating and the sea view is fantastic.
The only thing we could have done with but which wasn’t provided was a microwave.
With The Lord Nelson pub around the corner, all the shops you’d want within 5 minutes walk and the beach just outside the door you couldn’t find a better location.
And in Penny you’ve got a really helpful and friendly owner.

What a location!
Just had the best time in Southwold at East Cliff House. We stayed for 2 weeks in this gorgeous house on the seafront. Best location in Southwold in my opinion. Even when abroad the owner got in contact to see if we’d been affected by the power cut to see if she could do anything to help. (We hadn’t in any case).

Lovely home in a great location.
If you want somewhere central to everything, then East Cliff House is it. It overlooks the sea so you have that wonderful sound of the waves, and just around the corner are all the shops and eateries. Penny is a very attentive owner. The Lord Nelson pub is nearby if you want a quick pint (Addams Wild Wave cider is excellent!) and a bite to eat. The Sole Bay Fish & Chip shop is really good but you may have to queue on busy nights. For something posher The Swan Hotel’s Tap Room does excellent lunches, and The Lounge serves coffee etc all day. There is a Co-op nearby for provisions as well as an excellent deli and bakery. I could go on and on! Southwold is a beautiful traditional seaside resort with everything at your fingertips. We will return.

An extremely well thought out use of space. Comfortable with a great view.
We stayed for five nights in order to meet up with family and friends who lived nearby. The house was very comfortable and well equiped and we wished we could have stayed longer. The weather could have been better but it didn't matter as it was so pleasant to stay indoors and read. particularly if you bagged the chair upstairs with the view over the sea. We managed to park right outside the house, ignored the car for five days and went on long walks.
Penny was very friendly and helpful and was a great communicator. We will definitely stay at East Cliff House again.

A welcoming family home in the perfect spot overlooking the sea.
Our family loved staying in East Cliff House.
It had everything you could have wished for in a holiday cottage and in the perfect spot being so close to the beach, the high street and the Lord Nelson.
The house was cosy, warm and very homely. We even had milk in the fridge, a bar of luxury chocolate and a stack of logs for the burner...although not needed as the house was so warm!
We stayed around Halloween and the town was fantastic in making an effort for the young trick-or-treaters!
If we could have changed one thing it would have been the weather....not great and a first for our trips to Southwold.
This is definitely our favourite place that we have stayed at in Southwold without question.
Penny was very helpful and quick to sort out a minor issue that we had with the oven (nothing serious) which was really appreciated.
We will hopefully return in the very near future.
