We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Trice’s home. Lucky to see the elk heard 2 nights. Cries from the coyote pack were cool. A distant moose sprinting to the creek for a drink. Appreciated the binoculars! Hiked most days with a 20-35 min drive to trail heads. Nice abundance of puzzles, books, games with super starlink system which allowed my son to work efficiently. Kitchen was well equip, plenty of paper products and although we brought our seasonings and oil, there was salt, pepper and olive oil available. Although we were skeptical about the waterbed, we found it very comfortable and supportive. Quiet neighborhood. The owner bedroom felt awkward to have no window coverings given the caretaker house was overlooking the bedroom and the deck walkway was right out the windows. Water was nice and cold and got nice and hot, perfect!
Loved our stay!!

We loved the secluded mountain views and property. The area was breathtaking. The children’s play area and meadow provided endless possibilities to explore. We loved being able to roam and take in the mountain air and sunshine. My kids and I went on many walks and spent time exploring the creek. The deck was delightful and we enjoyed eating lunch there and watching/listening to the elk.
The house is eclectic and cozy. It felt like a “home” and was well stocked. The dinning table, two bar seats, and couches provided ample room to cook, eat, and enjoy each others company. The couches were very comfortable. We enjoyed the shelves of children’s books, the movies, and the pianos. We also played many of the board games provided and found it fun to play some we don’t own at home.
The one downside to the property was the beds. Our family prefers traditional mattresses to the floatation (water) bed in the master and air mattress in the basement.
We would love to return to enjoy all the beauty Bailey has to offer. This is a beautiful spot to rest and relax.

The view is so spectacular! The wildlife so amazing! Great recommendations for drive’s , places to eat, and shop. It has been a trip of a lifetime for our family. Thank you so much for all your help, your caring about my dad’s breathing problems, and great suggestions on how to help him. You all have been amazing! The house was beautiful, and so welcoming and homey.

We loved everything about our stay. It was exactly what we were hoping for. The views are amazing as well as the owners. We would turn around and head back right now if we could.

From the moment I booked the stay, Trice has been wonderful! Sending photos, directions, attractions and lists of activities to do around the home. All centered around the ages of people in our family. So very thoughtful!
Now, about the home, this is the cabin you wish you had in the family. Nestled into the valley of beautiful, scenic and tranquil mountains. What TV?? Ya, you won't want to use it when you stay here! The windows have the best picture! The wrap around porch is where we parked while enjoying our time at the house. All the amenities you would want and have in your own home. We lacked nothing.
All in all, 10 out of 10! We will only stay here when we make our next trip out. Thanks to Trice and how we were made to feel like family, plus the beauty of the home and surroundings, we will be back!
Thank you so much for making our stay so enjoyable! You are the best.

We loved our stay! The hosts were so incredibly welcoming and friendly, communicative, and I cannot thank them enough. There are wonderful views all around the home, and plenty of wildlife. Hummingbirds, elk, and all kinds of songbirds. The home was clean, comfortable, and we truly enjoyed our stay. Bailey is a very cute town, and though at first we were a little worried that we’d be in too small a town, we found that wasn’t the case at all. There were places to shop, great restaurants, and a friendly community. It was only half an hour to Red Rocks Amphitheater, and about an hour from Denver, and in that hour we found plenty to see and do and it was not a hassle at all.
I can’t recommend this home enough. We’ll be back next year!

We had a wonderful time in this lovely home, it was everything and more we excepted from the pictures and the description. Trice made sure we knew where everything was and gave the perfect welcoming tour! If we had a questions she had the answers. Her knowledge of the area was great and helped us out. The home is warm and inviting and we are hoping to get back next year. The grounds keeper Janet was nice and helpful and you didn't even know she was there till you needed her. I really can't say enough about this property! It's a little piece of heaven and so peaceful! It was exactly what we were looking for! Thank you Trice, Lou and Janet!

There probably isn't enough room here to write everything I'd like to say but I'll try! We arrived just before 11p.m. Friday July 15th, 2022 after making the long 20+ hr drive (supposed to be 14 not including stops) from So Cal (Victorville, Hesperia, The High Desert) with my mom and daughter who's 8 yrs old to see her brother, my son, for his 14th birthday. Trice was helpful from the very beginning of our trip. She sent us directions and even gave me a list of things to do! The house is gorgeous. Filled with so many different works of art! There are tons of neat things to look at all around the home including many gorgeous plants and some neat little fish! My kids and I loved looking around. We'd find something new everyday! The house was super clean and the view is just amazing. I wish I had a better word to describe it as there really aren't any to describe the beauty. The beds were comfortable and my kids happened to love the waterbed, haha. Bathrooms are nice and clean and the giant tub and shower in the master was soooo nice! No curtains did not bother us one bit. You can see some homes in the distance but no one close enough to actually see in the windows at all. The closest home was the property caretaker. She was so sweet the few times we saw her. We wouldn't even know she was there if we hadn't seen her! She takes care of the yard, plants, fish and cats. The cats were sweet although there was one, Molly, who was pretty elusive. The other, Rutherford, was around all the time and just wanted some pets! They were pretty clean for being outdoors, too! We enjoyed them everyday 🐈⬛️🐈 There are plenty of books and dvds and disney vhs movies for the kids. Everything was just flat out amazing and fun and beautiful!! We saw deer, elk and tons of hummingbirds and 2 blue birds in the tree right out the window. Trice was extremely helpful throuout our trip. Things went a little off course and she was there to make helpful suggestions and make sure we were all doing well! The home was equipped with everything we needed as well tons of first aid supplies. There is a little play area for kids outside with a few swings and a slide my kids loved. We also enjoyed the little garden areas. Lots of pretty flowers around the house. Trice makes everything so easy including check-in/check-out (treat as it were your own home, gather all the trash and leave beds unmaid and used towels in spot on floor.) This is now our go-to if we're ever in the area again!

The house was wonderful. Plenty of room to spread out. Great decks to view the birds, deer and chayotes. Will definitely rent again.

Where to begin! Trice and Lou greeted us and showed us where everything was and what was off limits. They are super people (we only met Lou the one time as he went on his way to fish)! Trice was absolutely wonderful to work with, we hit it off immediately!
The property is absolutely gorgeous and the house was perfect for our needs! Trice would text to let us know when she would be around as she was very busy fighting the rain to get her beautiful flowers in! The views (even with the rainy days) were spectacular. The area is so peaceful. We saw some beautiful double rainbows! The elk and deer were around everyday!
We even enjoyed Bailey days and we all had a ball!
The decor of the house was wonderful and very welcoming-plants-art work and so much more! The kitchen is good sized and has everything you need to cook for many people. The game closet fully loaded and we used it everyday!
We loved every minute of our stay and would definitely do it again!
Trice and Lou you are the best!

Arrived at the house at 4 pm. She let us know “per my arrangements” the place wasn’t ready til 7. I never made arrangements for that. Upon returning, she chats for almost an hour.
There is a caretaker house about 60 feet from the master bedroom windows, none of which have curtains. Not a single curtain in the house.
The caretaker will be letting herself in to water the plants and take care of the cats, which reside all over the deck of the house. Don’t let them inside though, house rules. They were dirty and rubbed against our legs every time we walked in the house. One did get in, we had to catch him and remove him.
The house is so full of things. There’s isn’t an inch of space anywhere. Cluttered with collections and plants, magazines, decorations. Owner occupied doesn’t even begin to describe it. There were no cabinets or drawers cleared for our things. Her bath products still on the edge of the tubs—7 people for 5 days, in a house with no space already, living in suitcases on the floor.
The decorations in the house are extremely eccentric. Voodoo, Gypsy like artifacts, crystals in the windows, bones littered though the yard. Weird dolls and pictures on the walls. So off-putting that 2 adults and 3 kids in our party slept locked in the same room.
This owner was pushy and would not let us be. She stayed way too long at arrival. Continued to call and message. If her text wasn’t answered promptly, she called. Then text other members in our party. (She told us she was leaving out of town, yet she never seemed to leave. Day 2 she called and forgot something in the house. Wanted to come back and let herself in to get coffee. That wasn’t enough. She wanted to know when we would be there, so she could come talk to us more. She didn’t see enough of our things and demanded to know where we were and what we were doing.
We had spent the morning looking for paper towels and discussing no storage in the house. While back, she decided to get us paper towels, as well as go into the master bedroom and clean out one of her cabinets. She said the coffee was in the basement. Not sure if the caretaker heard us through the windows or they have cameras, but that was enough. No privacy, the house was horrid, and she would not stop harassing us with her “helpful tips” Like the start of a horror film just before you never see the family again. We left less than 24 hours after arrival. None of us felt safe or comfortable.

It wasn't a terrible stay, however, I was under the impression that this property was not owner occupied. Some of the cabinets, closets, drawers were inaccessible being marked as the owner's property. Many personal items were about, many fragile. Personal toiletries in the bathrooms. Many fragile houseplants and the fish tank were worrisome. The advertised king size bed was a water bed necessitating our relocation to the walkout basement to sleep on the queen size bed. To be fair, I didn't communicate these issues to the home owner, except for the waterbed. I made this reservation in good faith that this property would be somewhat similar and as described as the many other VRBO properties we've rented. I can only blame myself for not doing an adequate vetting of this property. Even so, it was a nice home, clean and well taken care of. The location was further south of our daily destinations than anticipated so that became an issue and as such, realized that we won't be renting this far south again. The Host was wonderful and very accommodating.

Was offered one over the door hangar to hang our months worth of clothes on. Had to wait a couple of hours for occupancy.

The setting was beautiful. We saw elk in the evenings and a fox in the mornings. The owners could not have been nicer. A caretaker was available incase we needed anything, but we never had to contact her. The house was stocked with everything we needed. They even left us a bottle of champagne. I would love to stay there again.

The family and I rented this property for a quiet Thanksgiving weekend. Being from Denver this location was under an hour away from where we live. Quite close, yet the property itself makes you feel quite far away with some much needed solace and solitude.
The home was quite clean and tastefully decorated. Our four year old was amazed at all the interesting things about the place. The tub is amazing!
Perhaps the best part was the massive meadow the home sits on. Every morning we were greeted to herds of elk grazing as the sun rose. Our last day saw a rather large herd (60-70 head) literally right outside the home.
The owners were communicative and responsive. They really care that you're having a good time and your needs/expectations are being met which is awesome and refreshing.
I couldn't recommend this place enough!

Really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful setting, can't beat the views and wildlife. Host is wonderful and very helpful.

The property location is filled with Mountain View’s, Elk, Deer & Hummingbirds! You can venture out in any direction and enjoy Colorado’s vast beauty. The property owners were very nice and tentative if needed.

In this time of Covid, we needed a safe place to get away from our own living room and enjoy nature far away from others. Trice was great in helping us find things to do close to home and in nearby towns. Our goal was to do lots of outdoor activities and watch wildlife. Just from the house we saw elk, deer, a bunch of hummingbirds, and a wide variety of other birds. While out and about we also saw moose, mountain goats, and pronghorn deer. The house itself is very comfortable with an extremely well-stocked kitchen. We made almost all of our meals at home and had all the tools we needed. If you are looking for a safe getaway, this house is perfect.

Our family really enjoyed staying in Bailey. The house was comfy and had everything we needed for a week stay. Trice was helpful with ideas for places to visit. The Sasquatch Outpost is a must see! We could easily get to Fairplay, Breckenridge, Golden, Boulder, and Denver - and the drives were gorgeous. I personally enjoyed cooking in the kitchen while listening to old vinyl and watching the deer and elk roam. I would recommend this spot and this home to friends and family - and already have! It was a fantastic week.

I came for a week long personal retreat, but I would be delighted to come back with my wife or friends. The house and setting rae lovely. Looks out of the most beautiful mountain valley going for miles in both directions. Plenty of privacy, but not far from town if you need it. Trice, the hostess, couldn't be more helpful. She did everything imagiable to make my stay perfect, including bringing me lots of newspaper clippings descriing all the best hikes in the area. Highly recommended!

This rental served as a great “home base” for our Thanksgiving weekend activities. It’s convenient yet very private, plenty of space to spread out, and gorgeous views! The owners and caretaker were helpful and very responsive. A great laid back mountain getaway.

Trice and her hubby were excellent hosts. We stayed 7 days and explored area on motorcycles. They were our tour guides as well, helping us find great places to visit and eat. The place was beautiful and peaceful. Very clean and comfortable accommodations. Loved sitting on deck and watching the wildlife including elk, deer, a fox, and hummingbirds. Highly recommend this place!

Trice was awesome she gave us great places to ride the slingshot and motorcycle she was very informative about the area and recommended some great places to eat and go see. I would definitely love to come back and hopefully get to stay here again I loved it the scenery is beautiful the weather was awesome we were able to sit outside at night with a fire in July that’s impossible in the south where I’m from thanks Trice hope to come visit with you again someday

We had a wonderful stay at this mountain home. It is very comfortable and the property is gorgeous. There are beautiful wildflowers and visits from wildlife. Trice was very accommodating and communicative through the whole process. We needed to shorten out stay and she helped troubleshoot to make sure it worked out. I'm so glad we were able to be a guest in this home.
