Everything was clean and the fishing was good

The house was very cozy and has everything that we needed. There was plenty of room for all of our family that came down for our daughter’s graduation. We did have some issues with the AC but the property manager Laura, got right on it and my family slept cool. Follow the 1degree increment rule and you should be fine with the AC. The kids and even the adults loved playing Ping-Pong and the games got pretty intense!! Having two washers and two dryers was awesome because no one went home with dirty clothes. The huge table in the dining area was more than enough room for all of the family at meal times. Bring plenty of mosquito spray and sunscreen when you come to our part of Texas because you will need it. Max the big brindle dog, from next door is very friendly and Sandi the yellow lab, is very cautious at first but friendly once she sees you interact with Max. Their owner is very nice and will put the dogs away if you need him to. My family would definitely stay at Grand Creekside Retreat again!!

All the kids had a great time staying at the house. It was only five or six adults and two kids but it was it was a good time.

Very comfortable. Has a nice dock with good fishing, good access to ICW .

The house was nice and clean. Very roomy! We had a problem with the tv upon arrival but the property manager came over right away and took care of it. Kitchen is very well stocked with everything you can imagine. Neighbor was friendly. Peaceful and quiet!!

Me and my family had a great time at this home. The fishing was good at the pier. Great host . Quick to answer and was very helpful.

Very nice home on the creek. Plenty of room and seating for our big family. Just 2.5 miles from the beach. The teenagers enjoyed the ping pong table. Us adults appreciated the extra table for dominoes. We had a nice, relaxing time and would definitely want to stay there again.

The only complaint we have is having to drive a few miles for groceries and fishing bait. Everything else was great!

The property, house, and fishing pier were perfect! Plenty of space for 2 families, with room to spare. Fishing, kayaking, 5 minute drive to the beach... AMAZING! I'm already planning our next trip!

We enjoyed the wide open first floor and the kids appreciated the ping pong table. The fishing dock was great. My husband and oldest son fished day and night.

This house was perfect for our group!! It was roomy, had enough space for everyone, and was a perfect gathering place for a large family Thanksgiving. The property owner and the manager were both great to work with. I’d highly recommend this rental to anyone!

Had a wonderful time on the property! House was fully equipped. The size was perfect for all the family. Neighbors are friendly and welcoming. Fishing was awesome! Beach is just a few minutes up the road! Definitely plan on returning!

We had a wonderful family vacation at this house, which was large enough for our extended family (11 adults and 2 kids) and very clean. Large kitchen, with a 12 cup drip coffeemaker, easy to use microwave, dishwasher, good stove, toaster oven and a nice pantry. Lots of seating. Two washers and two dryers with lots of storage space. Everyone had fun playing ping pong. Two of us worked a bit while we were here, one at the tall table in the game room and one at the desk, with a very good Wifi connection. Large TV. We had fun fishing off the dock and we really liked the nice setup there. When you leave the neighborhood and get back on the main Highway, take a right, go up the high bridge, drive less than a mile and you’ll see picnic tables on your right. There is a parking lot there, with another place to fish, and you can easily walk across the road to the beach. If you are a shell collector, you will be delighted—beautiful intact shells. The waves were perfect and the beach was not crowded. There aren’t commercial umbrellas/chairs so you’ll want to bring your own beach towels, sunscreen. There were no mosquitoes at the beach; you’ll want to bring mosquito spray since they’re out this time of year, especially around the water. We liked sitting on the front porch. Nice breeze. Comfortable chairs. And two sweet friendly dogs who occasionally visit from the neighbor. We had plenty of parking space for our five vehicles. You can buy ice (and snow cones and BBQ) at the entrance to the neighborhood. Two live bait shops five minutes away. And a Family Dollar store that has everything you’d ever need, including cold milk and food! We had a wonderful vacation that met everyone’s needs.

The weather was against us this trip, but luckily the house was very spacious & we made the best of our trip indoors. There was plenty of room to spread out & our group of 9 didn’t feel cramped at all. LOVED the big dining table!

We had a great time at this spacious country home. It is accurately presented in the description & pictures. This was a 1st time trip to Sargent & we found it to be a charming seaside community. We enjoyed fishing (& catching trout & red fish) on the private dock, catching fresh blue crab, sitting on the porch & exploring a new part of the Texas gulf beaches, just a short drive away. I would describe this stay as a bit of country/ bayou/beach! Everyone we met was friendly & helpful, including the next door neighbor. As with any waterfront home by the gulf, there were a few maintenance needs, but the home was very neat & clean & pleasant.

We had a great experience! Loved the large table and all the space. Spent most of our time at the beach and on the dock. Had small children so the laundry room was a huge bonus.

We had a family of 8 and had plenty of room. Ever loved fishing and crabbing on the dock. Just a few minutes from the beach. I would definitely stay again.

Nothing but good times at this property. We needed a place to disconnect for a while from busy city life and this place allowed us to do that. My family caught many fish, a few carbs, and a couple shrimp. Everyone had a blast! The layout of the property was super homey. I enjoyed making meals for my family in the kitchen. Would recommend to anyone looking to get away for a little while.

Great stay!

While the inside was nice, we almost left because the outside was nothing like the pictures. The outside was old, in poor repair and missing boards. We did enjoy the spacious interior and the massive picnic table for eating! Kitchen was very well equipped and lots of items were included that were not expected. We did have a few tree roaches but since there had been a hurricane the previous week, it was probably not something that could be prevented.

We had a great time.....house was very clean, owners were quick to respond to any questions. Would love to come back in the future!

The only things that would have made the stay better would be less mosquitos (but that's mother nature), a front patio for more confort, easy to see water straight on & more people can sit together, one toilet didn't get stopped up ,sheets that fit the bed that don't pop off & an ice maker. Other that that Laura (our go-to gal) was amazing! No fence & neighbor had a big dog, but he was super sweet. If you don't like dogs...you may want to reconsider bc he was over everyday. Would stay again.

Great place! Everyone in our group had a blast!

We unfortunately had to cut our trip short due to Hurricane Hanna. The sunroom would benefit having shades to help keep the house cool and direct sun. Needs another tv. Kitchen pans need to be replaced. One fan in sunroom didn’t work. Overall the stay was great and would definitely consider returning.

We had a party of 6 with us, and the house was overly accommodating, with 4 beds not even being used. The ping pong table was a plus for our group of competitors! We crabbed, fished, ate at Hookers Grill, went on a fishing trip out here n the bay, and just had an amazing time making memories. Charlie was “Johnny on the spot” and on top of anything that came up. We look forward to coming out again.
