La ubicación

La atención deja mucho que desear, el agua caliente fallaba, muy fría la habitación. Nos hablaron de caminata y cabalgata y al llegar no nos dijeron nada, era la primera vez en ese lugar y nos tocó salir y preguntar por lo que nos interesaba. A pesar que les pregunte por mensaje y nunca respondieron. No recomiendo para nada y obvio a esa estadía no regresaría.

Perfect location for us. Great hiking around the grounds. Staff was helpful, but no one was around during the night.

Restaurant closed 6:30 PM. Breakfast was so-so. It was cold and we needed more blankets but we had a fire so got through the night. No staff around at night.

The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. We are birdwatchers, so they warned us that a particular road would be closed the next morning. They offered a breakfast outside of the usual hours, to make it possible for us to do our planned bird watching tour. How lovely! Dinner was delicious - we are meat lovers! Breakfast was nice. While we were having dinner they asked for the keys of the room, so the could lit the fire in the fireplace. We absolutely loved that. Room and facilities are rather basic, but given the price we did not expect else. Beautiful nature surrounding the place.

The room the bed and the toilet were very small

Friendly family-run hotel in a lovely setting in the woods with views of the valley and fresh air. Dog friendly. Nice room, clean, sparsely furnished, hot shower. Comfy bed (and I'm over 6ft tall). Nice breakfast (eggs, toast, coffee, juice). Could have eaten more, though I guess I could have asked. We were given a free upgrade to a bigger room (the originally booked room was quite small, no fireplace, but looked cosy) with a fireplace and free wood, which was nice, necessary even. Nono is a bit chilly (though not cold, no frost etc) in the evenings, so go prepared. There was no WIFI in the bigger room as it is away from the main building, but we knew that when we accepted it, so no worries. Main building and restaurant have good WIFI.

Mobile coverage in Nono on Movistar (Tuenti) is calls-only with occasional very slow data. Our Claro phone had no coverage at all. That is clearly not something the hotel can fix.

The house made in unique country style with fireplace, balcony with beautiful view and possibility to watch birds. Mr. Andres is very frendly and attentive. Best base to visit Yanacocha Reserve.
