Unser schönes Haus ist der perfekte Ausgangspunkt für Ihren Urlaub auf Fraser Island. Es befindet sich in Second Valley - einer ruhigen Wohngegend, nur einen kurzen Spaziergang südlich von Eurong entfernt. Hier finden Sie ein Geschäft, eine Bäckerei, ein Restaurant und Bars. Der Ocean Beach ist 5 Minuten zu Fuß.
Wir haben 3 Schlafzimmer:
1 mit Kingsize-Doppelbett und eigenem WC.
1 mit Queensize-Doppelbett.
1 mit 3 Einzelbetten (Etagenbett plus Einzelbett).
Es gibt einen großen offenen Wohn- und Essbereich sowie eine voll ausgestattete Küche mit Gasherd / Ofen und großem Kühl- / Gefrierschrank. Wir haben einen Fernseher mit lokalen Satellitenkanälen.
Die 2 Decks im Obergeschoss bieten eine Auswahl an Aussichten und Möglichkeiten, um die Meeresbrise in der Hitze des Tages einzufangen. Unter dem Haus befindet sich ein Gasgrill und ein weiterer Sitzbereich.
Der Garten ist hauptsächlich Rasen und ist sicher für Kinder, da wir innerhalb des Eurong-Geheges liegen.
Es gibt eine Waschküche mit Waschmaschine. Bettwäsche kann bei Bedarf gemietet werden.

Wir verbringen viel Zeit damit, auf unserem Deck zu chillen, das üppige Vogelleben im Garten zu beobachten und zu hören, oder spazieren zum Strand, um zu gehen oder zu fischen. Es können Seeadler oder Brahmanen-Drachen in der Luft und Delfine oder Wale im Meer sein.
Das Haus ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt, um die meisten beliebten Sehenswürdigkeiten der Insel wie die südlichen Seen, den Lake McKenzie und den Hauptbahnhof zu erkunden. Direkt am Strand finden Sie den Lake Wabby, den Eli Creek, das Maheno-Wrack, die Pinnacles, Indian Head und die Champagne Pools bei Middle Rocks.

Hornblowers was exactly as described. Great location, easy walk to the beach. Nice sunny and airy house. Washing machine isn't coin operated as stated in description, it is free. Managers are lovely and friendly and efficient if you need anything at all. I would definitely stay here again with my family

The house is excellent and accommodation, too. Only what is missing is aircon for full enjoyment as we cannot rely on breeze on hot humid quite day.
Bedrooms are spacious and clean. Happy to recommend this to anyone with adventurous soul. The accommodation has a great position on the island. Hot water system needs attention as we had very little hot water flow in the shower. Overall, this accommodation deserves 4 stars at least.

Communication with the host was good, easy location to find and close to all the day trips we wanted to do. Hot shower, comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. No fans in the 3rd bedroom was the only disappointment. Would book here again.

Our stay at Hornblowers was pleasant. The home is central and offers easy access to many of the main attractions. One thing to note is there is no AC which is probably not an issue most of the time, however we had five 35+ degrees and it was extremely hot in the house. The sea breeze was certainly very welcome!

Stayed at the house previous so we knew that the house had excellent amenities, very comfortable and close to the Eurong shop, the fishing was great. There were four male adults all over 70 years old, we will stay there again no doubt about it.

We enjoyed our stay at Hornblowers very much. It was a convenient location for all we wanted to achieve. Lots of room, lovely new fridge, although the vege crisper was not inserted correctly and did not slide properly. Beds were deemed comfortable by the younger ones, although us old folk found the king size quite hard. Plenty of kitchen "stuff" for all your cooking needs. Overall very comfortable.
Our big problem was with Stayz. There was a major problem with trying to make the final payment and even with spending hours on the phone and sending a number of emails, they were of no help whatsoever. The replies to the emails were days late, the final one being after we'd already been at the house for two days. Having said that, Andrew, the owner was a delight to deal with and answered very promptly. We would be happy to recommend Hornblowers to other holiday makers, and indeed have already done so. Great location but maintenance on property is needed badly.
We had a nice stay however the the house needs some basic maintenance. There was black mould on the ceiling of the bathroom, mould on the lounge sitting and the timber dining setting was very sticky and felt unclean. The fridge also needed to be checked to ensure it was closed properly, I think the seals were worn. There were also holes in the ceiling of the kitchen. Overall the house just felt a little tired. Great location and check-in process. I have stayed at multiple houses all over the island and this is the first one where no outside hose was available for use.

A true Fraser Island experience
Very old and basic accommodation but this is what Fraser Island delivers. Dirty floors and I don’t mean sand. Just grubby, I don’t think they have been mopped for quite a while. Great location, neighbours turned loud music down when we were inside our property. Few cockroaches but that’s to be expected in this environment. Take your own loo paper, gas lighter or matches, garbage bags as not supplied by owner. It’s more about exploring the island than accommodation

Very unclean home. Fridge was smelly and not turned on. Toilet, bathroom and kitchen could not be used until they were disinfected by us. Crockery and cookware were stained. Ran out of water by 7pm, even though we were out all day. It was a bad experience. Do not stay in this property until it is cleaned up.

Property was on a great location. Very tidy of not a bit tired but we were on the island to explore not sit around so it suited our purposes perfectly and the neighbours music was great.

Great location, huge beach house, but annoying neighbours
Fabulous location, if you want direct access to Eastern Beach, all of the main lakes, Eurong Resort, and much more. Spotlessly clean. Yes, there’s a little bit of sand, but it is a beach house. Perfect for a big family. Sleeps seven. Great shady deck for wine. Wrap around veranda, so you can escape the kids. Laundry downstairs with a huge washing machine. Easy to check in. Lisa (on site caretaker – just down the road) was great.
The only negative (a minor annoyance really) was the neighbours who felt it appropriate to play Springsteen, Chisel and U2, at full volume, on rotation, for between 5-7 hours every day. (Don’t get me wrong, I like music, just not the same tracks, over and over again, for 6 hours, on full volume). I feel sorry for the owner of this property because this is something that is very difficult to control.
Pleasingly, the neighbour’s routine appears to be to get up mid-morning. By mid-day, they plonk themselves outside on cheap plastic outdoor furniture, with rum and cokes, roll their ciggies, and by around 6pm, they go inside and pass out (presumably). So, if you spend most of the day away, you won’t notice it.
