Über diese hausUnterkunft
Luxury 3 bed / 3 bathroom house near St Andrews. Ideal for Golf, Sea and Walks

This was a lovely property for a group of friends especially as it had twin beds in all bed rooms. It was very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. There were a lot of stairs but we knew this when we booked. There is an Arga in the kitchen we we found easy to use & it kept the combined kitchen, sitting & Dinning room lovely & warm all the time. We used this space all the time. Couldn’t have ask for anything better as I said “It was lovely”.

We have stayed in lots of holiday homes in Cellardyke and Anstruther for a few years now as a couple and with our family. This was our first stay at Fulmar House and it was perfect in every way. So spacious, extremely comfortable and fully equipped and just a short walk to the harbour, beach and centre of Anstruther. Parking on James Street was so handy. Bus stop to St Andrews just around the corner. The pool at Cellardyke is a ten minute walk and is being transformed and a credit to the local community and a firm family favourite for lots of activities. I have already booked this fantastic house for next year and would highly recommend.

We were all so impressed with this property! The home is beautiful and in a safe area, with lots of food options and lovely scenery within walking distance. Also the showers are the most amazing rainfall showers which were perfect after a cold day of exploring. Parking can be difficult on nights and weekends, so I recommend practicing your parallel parking skills but it’s definitely worth it. We commuted into Edinburgh almost every day and while it was a long drive, it was definitely worth it for the peace and quiet outside the city. House was very clean and we all agreed we would stay again if visiting.

Loved this gorgeous cottage in Cellardyke , spacious and comfortable accommodation and the bonus of a patio garden to the rear which we made full use of as we were so lucky with the weather 😎. A great base to explore the East Neuk and a 2 minutwalk into Anstruther with its famous chippy’s !
We will be back !!

We loved our stay at this pretty, comfortable, well appointed home in Cellardyke, about 20 minutes from the town of St Andrews and a beautiful place to explore the Fife coast. The third floor bedroom has a lovely ocean view, the bathrooms and kitchen are great, and we loved being in walking distance to restaurants and coffee bars in Anstruther. The hosts were terrific, communicative and flexible. It is absolutely as advertised. Highly recommend.

Beautiful well-kept home. Spacious and beautifully decorated. Fully equipped kitchen with quality dishes, cutlery, etc. We enjoyed being close to the water. Parking was more challenging than anticipated.

The house was a joy to share with our family and friends. Everyone loved it, it definitely added to our entire Scotland experience. The garden was nicer than the posted pictures. The house was cozy, comfy, and well cared for. We would stay there again and highly recommend it.

We loved this location so near to the sea! Stones throw away from Anstruther shops and cafes. Parking when we arrived on sat 5p was a nightmare...very narrow street w limited access, but after Sunday, there was no problem with finding space. House is beautiful with sea view from 3rd floor bedroom. Not good for people with limited ability for stairs. Could use handrails on stairways and a bit more thorough cleaning. But all in all, would definitely recommend this place for a stay in Anstruther! Thank you, owners!!

Very nice
We really enjoyed the property. James and pamela were so easy and pleasant to work with. Great location. The roads are narrow and parking just takes a bit of patiebce but nothing to worry about. We would def rent again and i think that says it all.

Lovely house in a great location.
Lovely well equipped property. The parking can be difficult and we experienced hostility from a neighbour who I understand is unhappy about visitors parking in the street, which was rather unpleasant. We did however speak to other neighbours who were lovely and very welcoming. The nasty reception didn’t impact our stay and certainly wouldn’t put us off returning.

Another excellent break!
As on our previous stay, everything was excellent in this beautiful, spacious and well-appointed property. Pamela really has thought of absolutely everything. The house is spotless yet still feels comfortable and relaxed. It lends itself to time with family and friends, with the large kitchen diner and the lovely upstairs lounge, but there is plenty of space to get time on your own if you need it! On this occasion we were attending a family wedding and 3 bathroom /en suites were very welcome for us all trying to get ready at the one time! We will certainly be back. Thank you Pamela!

Just beautiful!
This gorgeous house has everything you could need and more.Well laid out, love the quirkiness of it.Maybe not for someone with mobility problems or very young children due to the stairs/ various levels of floors but we loved it.Thanks.

Staycation
There were 5 of us on this break. Myself and my husband my sister and her husband and my best friends husband. Sadly she passed away last year. It was lovely for us all to be together in such a beautiful home. The beds were very comfortable and house was warm (sometimes a bit too warm) We loved all the lovely bits and pieces around the house seemed to spot something new everyday. The upstairs lounge was very comfortable. I would highly recommend this property great location near to the harbour. Lots of lovely restaurants and bars. My aunt and uncle lived here many years ago in the Wendy House across the road. Brought back a lot of lovely memories. Thank you

Ideal!
The house is beautiful! Warm, comfortable and very well appointed. We had originally booked for 6,but party was reduced to 4 due to restrictions, but plenty of space for 6 adults to be able to get together or to have their own space. Bathroom /ensuites are great and plenty of hot water. Location is perfect for a short walk to the shore, to shops or as a base for longer walks of travelling. Can't wait to go back!

Welcome trip away
We loved the house as soon as we opened the door. The Aga gives a warm welcome. It is ideal for a family stay and the location is perfect for walking along to Anstruther and onto Pitenweem on the coastal path. We walked to the harbour at Cellardykes and ate at the local pub. Perfect holiday break.

Great house and location
We absolutely loved the house in Cellardyke. The beds were comfortable, house was clean and we had everything we needed. The owners were great to deal with and even though we had a tiny mix up about check in they rectified the situation immediately and made sure we were very happy. The location is fantastic. Great restaurants (The Bank) and pubs (The Boathouse, Fraser the bartender is super!) all while being close to explore places like Edinburgh and St. Andrews. We wish we would have had been able to stay longer.
Thanks so much.

Very nice place
This is a nice comfortable house in a good location close to the harbour and local shops, pubs and restaurants. It was an ideal base for our short golf trip. It's close to a number of great local courses and has a good choice of local walks and restaurants

Spacious, well appointed house close to Anstruther with sea views from main bedroom
I made the booking for part of the wedding party and those who stayed were very pleased with the accommodation. Their only criticism seemed to be the lack of simple coffee making equipment (there is a specific pod-type machine which they didn't manage source pods for). They enjoyed the space and the luxurious bathrooms. Access was straight forward

Charming Seaside House
Travelling from Holland we spent 7 nights over Christmas at 14 James Street. We thoroughly enjoyed it. In many ways it outweighed our expectations. The lay-out allowed enough privacy for large groups and having three nice shower/ bathrooms meant no queuing. The kitchen/dining area and living room were welcoming. The property was tastefully decorated with a warm, homely feel. Even a Christmas tree and decorations, which just gave it more atmosphere. Some care is needed for young children because of the stairs but it is manageable. Beds were comfy and the property was clean. Good location too. On the Fife coastal path, near the sea and some nice little shops, pubs and restaurants within walking distant- The Dreel Tavern in Anstruther is definitely worth a visit! St. Andrews is only a 20 minute drive away and Fife scenery is stunning.
Thoughtful hosts, who seemed genuinely interested in their guests enjoying the house and who responded extremely quickly any time that we contacted them .

Loved our seaside “home” in Cellardyke
Pamela and Jim have made it a priority for you to be comfortable and pampered in the seaside home. It’s a 30 second walk to a seashore entry that has spectacular rock formations when the tide is out! The best Fish and chips in Scotland is maybe 3-5 minutes walk, and a beautiful harbor fishing town with more pubs and dining than we could get through in our 12 day stay!
The AGA cooking was new to us, but very easy and convenient. The kitchen was updated and well appointed. Although we didn’t use the sitting room much due to our busy golf schedule...it looked very cozy.
All the bedrooms had extra pillows and blankets. The showers had the one button electric water heaters...very nice. There was also a quaint garden terrace where you could see the evening sky.

Comfort
It was so nice to have sitting areas for gathering at night to discuss the day and plans for the next. The aga kept the house at a comfortable temp and we cooked on it a couple times. Very interesting! Everything in town we needed was within walking distance. All-in-all, a very nice place to stay.

Loved our stay!
This Cellardyke house was a lovely place to stay on our recent trip. The proximity to the village harbor was great and we found some wonderful restaurants there. St. Andrews was a 20 min direct drive. Since this has been a warm summer, the house was warm at first but after opening the windows it cooled off quickly. We had two cars, but usually were able to find parking on the street in front. The house was spacious and we enjoyed our stay!
