The breakfast was great! The room was exactly what we needed, a place to rest and relax. Dinner was sumptuous, we requested an earlier hour for dinner and the staff accommodated us. Thanks to all from the front desk to the kitchen for making our stay so wonderful. Special thanks to all who served the meals, they were all so friendly and lovely persons to talk to.

I went out-of-season and at times felt like I had the hotel to myself. There were definitely more staff than patrons. So they were happy to oblige with any request. The room was lovely, well appointed and clean, and the location is beautiful. Within a 10 minute walk or couple of minutes drive you can reach six different beaches, dozens of places to buy food and drink, including the excellent bar on the beach operated by the hotel. Being on a hill means you get beautiful sunrise and sunsets.
The food was a little basic for my taste. It either needed to be more genuinely local or more elaborate. Because I was the only one at breakfast they did not put out the buffet. There was only instant coffee available. Despite advertising as a spa resort there was no spa in operation (not sure why). The wifi was extremely patchy, but does cover the beach area too.

The staff made my stay as comfortable as can be
Breakfast should have more choices

The food preparation and service staff were excellent. We enjoyed the breakfasts. I also appreciated the feedback and attention that Marcelle (property manager) showed when addressing our issues.
We did not like the fact that we did not get cable service in our rooms and the beach was located across the main street. After a long day of sun, we would have liked to unwind with a bit of TV watching. The pool was also not available for use after 6 PM which I don't recall that being mentioned in the online booking, and the golf course had incurred some damage and could not be accessed. There was also a cat on the property that was not appreciated. I have allergies to cats and that was not expected. Finally, there was also an event that we were not made aware of until the day of our arrival; we did not have our prepaid dinner as planned. We had to settle for the meal that was prepared for the event. Marcelle (property manager) made every effort to make up for the shortcomings, but our stay was not as we would have hoped.

Location, beach, hotel grounds, breakfast, staff was exceptional

I loved the ambience of the hotel. The staff were friendly and attentive. The hotel is conveniently located near the beach. The rum punch cocktail invite at the resort's lobby bar area was pleasant and created opportunities for networking. I will recommend the hotel to my friends and family.
There was no WiFi in my room, which made communication with family and work quite delayed. The furniture in the room was fine, it went with the theme of the resort. However, some framed pictures on the walls would have added a nice touch. The bathroom needs some upgrade; maybe textured terra stone tiles could provide a rustic but contemporary finish.

Food and kitchen staff was the best, especially Pauline, one of the chefs. The room was really outdated for the price, would not rebook.
Decor and condition of the room. They did not even have wash clothes, and everything in the room was OLD.
3.2
The staff were excellent, swimming pool was one of the best we've experienced (nice and deep), breakfasts and evening meals were very good. Bedroom and bathroom were all that you could expect.
Sadly the hotel was very quiet when we were there so the place lacked atmosphere. Some days we had the pool to ourselves all day (I can see that to some people that would be a good point!). Similarly for evening meals - food was good quality but very few diners. This is not in any way the fault of the staff or the hotel, which were excellent - the whole island seemed to be going through a very quiet phase.

The Kitchen staff at the sugar Mills were wonderful and so was breakfast. That hot stuff was so good that the lady packed me a bottle to take home for sale. The pool has a 10 feet side and we love a deep pool. The beach is walking distance. AC works great and there was hot water. Alcoholic drinks at the bar was so good. They have security at all hours which made me felt safe. Complimentary airport pick up and drop off.. They contacted taxis for us upon request.
Service was a little slow. For what I paid i expected a little bit more. My bathroom and room were old and outdated. Quite honestly the bathroom was disgusting. The pool closes at 6pm so by the time we returned from excursions we didn't have time to use it. Beach is walking distance however they close the gate at 6pm. The phones in the room doesn't work. I had to go back and forth to the reception for request. It took me over 3 hours and going back to the desk at 3 different times before I finally received bath towels. They do have all these different bars listed but rarely anyone to serve you so it was a lot of time wasted.

I liked the location, friendliness of staff and the food. Cottage was nice and spacious.
Staff took too long to respond when called for necessities and did not follow up with courtesy calls.

beautiful location
no water in the rooms
dirty bathroom

Honestly the room was set up for only sleeping a table would have been welcomed and not outside

I got an upgrade on my room which was fantastic. All the staff was absolutely friendly and accommodating. A few in particular, Kurl, Dion, Sanchez and Joan, The lady who did our eggs and the lady who took our orders in the Morning and the bartender by the pool. They really made our stay more comfortable. I think the rooms we had were comfortable, the food was good but I think they need more staff for things to go a little quicker in that department. Overall it's a great place to stay.

Staff was pleasant even though they were working under stressful conditions
Entrance to hotel had dirty appearance
First room given was musky smelling and our sinuses started acting up within 5min of being in it.
Second room refrigerator was leaking out had to place a towel outside not to slip on the water ( tech came adjusted the temperature but there still had water, less! But there was still water. )
Balcony doors kept jamming ( was reported but it was never fixed)
Pool water was dirty affected my eyes and my mom's skin, when i complained a hose was placed in the pool for two days and the water cleared up.Around the pool area needs upkeeping. Sprayed dried grass could be seen all over and ground areas needed power washing.
Beach facilities for the hotel was closed for two days and horribly needs upgrading also.
Dinning area fixtures were uncleaned and had bird nest in them which hung over Dinning tables in some areas ( very unsanitary!)
Breakfast even though complementary was very much rationed!
Generally our stay was very disappointing especially to my 14 year old daughter who wanted to go back home by the Wednesday. This was not her first hotel stay but it was indeed her worst!!!
If the other hotel weren't booked out we were certainly leaving. I was totally depressed 😔 by the end of our stay that I'm only now able to make a comment about it.
It's quite obvious that this hotel is no where close to it's former glory nor what it has up as advertised!!

Pillows were too hard
Service was slow
3.2
Staff were pretty hospitable
The ambiance was lovely
Hotel was really close to the beach I had views outside our back door
Food was good
Service was slow
The internet and television was not functional in our room and we were only told whilst being showed to our room
There was a moldy sheet on one of our beds
Our key card would stop working at the end of each day and our cottage was far from front desk
Hot and cold shower was a little off and we didn't have water in our room one night...
3.2
Most staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Trail down to beach was nice adn the beach itself looked clean and the reef was also nice to snorkel.
The wifi was down, and no compensation offered, the pool and importantly the trail down to the beach closed at 6 which was disappointing. I was also told it's best not to walk alone along the road after dark. If that's the case then the trail should be kept open later. It felt isolating to be told I couldn't leave the compound after dark.
3.2
only thé cleanliness
The light in the bedroom wasn’t working. From the day we arrived there was no internet in the room. The phone in the bedroom to make connection with the front desk wasn’t working. The breakfast was not what a 3 star hotel should offer. The last morning no water out of the taps in the bathroom
3.2
nothing
the water got turned off at 10PM, the room we reserved was not available so I hade to sleep on a chair
3.2
The staff was great and accommodating and the hotel itself was nicely designed and the facilities were up to date and renovated.
The pool closed too early and there was only one umbrella on the pool deck. In addition, there wasn't any food available after 9pm. Both were inconvenient.
3.2
The ambiance, dinner was great, close proximity of the beaches, good security
Noone available to assist with luggage, was victimised at the private beach facility and spoken to rudely when using the beach chairs. I complained about this situation which was rectified the next day.
Room tidying should be everyday. There were no clear guidelines for what is included in your stay. Bathroom door unable to lock.
3.2
History of location and facilities were good
Due to pandemic I assume the grounds were closed, I am terrified of snakes and I encountered one while walking to the restaurant.
3.2
The location was fantastic, the breakfast and dinner was satisfactory. The staff was very accomodating. Pleasant and polite
The wifi only connected to the phones and not my children's tablets. Under the bathroom sinks were very filthy. Very basic rooms. The swim up bar & restaurants were great, but i didnt like the walk to the lobby to pay by card.
