Over all it was good for a group of 10, 6 adults & 4 children. It was great for the four kids, 9, 10, 11, 12, Bunk beds, pool table and tv all in one room. The main level was good area for adults to socialize. The dining room table was large enough for everyone to eat at the same table. There was some minor issues with water pressure. It rained a lot during our week stay so if I sound a bit negative it has very little to do with the property. All my dealings with the property management was very pleasant. I did not go to any of property common areas but the family members that did visit them seemed to enjoy the areas. I would consider using this property again if we were to go to that area again.

Wonderful cabin with a few exceptions….We came the coldest days of the year. Water/Dryer did not work. Heat was not very well regulated with the gas logs running which was needed with the 6 degree weather. Hot water heater was not big enough for the amount of people in the cabin. Water issues due to freezing weather. Very nice cabin, but needs a few updates. We had a wonderful Christmas’s. Sure wish the weather was warmer. WaterShed Properties was easy to work with and updated us on the dryer and water issues.

We visited Bryson City for the polar express train ride. We absolutely loved our stay at the cabin. The bunk room was a big hit among the cousin contingent! Well stocked, clean and roomy enough for our party of 10. The kids especially loved “the yard” where they could play and hang out. Camp fire, bocce ball, green space with a fantastic view. We’ll be back!

Just a wonderful experience. The cabin was great and we really enjoyed the outdoor fireplace. Swain County is one of the most beautiful areas I have been to. I highly recommend this cabin for a great get away for the weekend or an extended vacation stay.

The property was very spacious an laid out great. It was a chore to get into due to the sharp turn into the driveway and no number on the post. Once we were there, everything was great. Loved the indoor & outdoor fireplaces. Did not use the hot tub. Having screened in porches were a nice bonus. Carpets upstairs need a good cleaning. We had a great stay and would definitely stay here again.

We had a family of 14 and were very pleased that there was something to do for all age groups. The common area at the top of the hill (The Yard) was pretty neat and the view from up there was beautiful. The house had all the amenities needed. The terrain was very steep, but did not cause any issues. The hiking trails would be for more seasoned hikers and was not suitable for bringing our toddlers. The groundskeepers were very friendly. I have recommended this property to several friends.

Great Family Getaway
The property was nice. It was quiet and relaxing. Everything we needed was supplied. Towels, plenty of dishes, silverware, cooking utensils and pots and pans. Loved the convenience of having a full bathroom in each of the loft rooms and in the downstairs bunkbed room. We were so glad this was a dog friendly rental because we really hate to go on vacation without them as they are a part of our family. The children loved the tee pee and play area in the woods, by the house and the hiking trails throughout the area. It's a short drive to Bryson City in case you need to go to the grocery store or want to go out to eat. The only negative we can say about the house is the inside could use a good cleaning from top to bottom. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the house and area. We would definitely stay there again.

We had a party of 6 plus a dog who stayed for a long weekend. We loved the location of the cabin. The hiking trails and waterfall were worth the stay on their own. Our kids had a blast on the bunk beds and used the downstairs as their own getaway. Only downside was the lack of privacy in the upstairs bedrooms. Both doors were uncovered, meaning you had to change in the restroom if you wanted privacy. The hot tub was also cloudy but the kids didn’t seem to mind. Overall would stay there again as my family said it was their best family vacation ever!

They may not have control of it but I would suggest better lighting at the main sign. It might also help to let renters know that there is a steep incline once you get into the neighborhood. The cabin isn’t much to look at from the outside but the inside is beautiful and the floor plan works for multiple families. There are two master bedrooms upstairs with their own private baths and loft space. One bed is a queen and not a king as described in original ad. Main floor hosts another bedroom with a queen bed also not as described in original ad. Each room had its own screened in patio. The main bedroom shares its full bathroom with the living room and kitchen. Table sat 10 comfortably and kitchen had plenty of plates and utensils. Plenty of pots and pans, toaster, cooking utensils and we were giving one roll of paper towels, pods of dishwasher detergent, a washcloth for cleaning and dish soap. Enough to get you by until you can get to the store five miles down the road. Bathrooms were stocked with a few rolls of toilet paper, tissue box, lots of bar soap/sham/conditioner and towels for the amount of people staying and a decent blow dryer. The down stairs was perfect for the kids to play games, pool and lounge on the huge bunks. There was a futon and washer/dryer down there and a few closets for hanging clothes. The washer was finicky to get to turn on so you have to wiggle the button then pull it. A few pods of detergent were left for us so that was helpful too. The full bathroom downstairs was large and stocked as well as the other bathrooms. Down stairs features large sliding doors leading out to a cement patio with chairs. Lot is secluded enough during winter and the cabin doesn’t sit above another cabin. The only complaints I could say is we had to call to have the handy man put the fireplace on for us because after reading the directions and trying several times the pilot wouldn’t ignite. We had to call again about an hour later to have the hot tub heater started as well. Then again later that day to let them know that the main floor shower was leaking down between the bunks downstairs. That was going to be a bigger repair than would have been feasible while we were staying so we agreed to not shower in that bathroom. Other than that we we had a great time.

Too small for a group of 16.
Don't be fooled by the VRBO description of this home. It says four bedrooms and a bunk room. The bunk room which is described as "game room" and "basement" in every photo is actually the fourth BEDROOM... Which it CLEARLY is not. Yes, there are spots to sleep for children, but it should not be considered a bedroom. Buyer beware. VRBO and watershed resort did nothing to help our group after we were so misled. Yet they quickly collected their fee. We had four families...16 people... Too many for this house. So unless you want a couple to sleep on a futon in the basement with six kids, think twice about booking this property if you're a large group. I'm giving it 3 stars because the house was clean and the location and setting was incredible. The hot tub water was apparently clean according to the chemical levels reported on a sheet of paper at check in, but the bottom of the tub itself felt like slime. I'm not a hot tub person, so the location of the property itself would override a hot tub.

We had 3 families together under one roof and it never felt crowded. The kids loved the hot tub and playing in the downstairs bunk room area. Cabin 5 is the type of place where lifelong memories are made. The kitchen was very well outfitted with pans, utensils etc. Top notch all around. Simply amazing!
