We came for the surprise lobster day for Florida residents. The area was great. Very clean neighborhood with lots of enforced rules. Thankful to have boat and trailer parking.

We have stayed at MANY similar places; large neighborhoods/parks with mix of RVs, homes, rentals and owners. The park itself is nice, with pool, hot tub, plenty of activities, and nice location on the water. The sites are tight, but the home was comfortable and enjoyable. HOWEVER, the rules at this park are way over the top, and the security guards are trained to call out in the harshest way any violation of the rules. Too many examples to get into, but suffice to say, it dampened the enjoyment of the vacation, and made sure we would not return to Venture Out. Many places to pick from, and this is one to avoid.

We enjoyed our stay at Cudjoe Key. Home is very cute and comfortable. Could use some minor updates but relative to other places in "Venture out" I was very pleased with the accommodations. Location is wonderful and check in and out was very easy. Would stay again.

This little house is perfect to explore the Keys Islands, it's beautiful and makes you feel at home.

The location was great, away from the main road but not too far out of the way. With a grocery store with in 20 minutes from the property and less then a hour from majority of the keys. The community even has special events that might happen while your stay like for us a pancake breakfast. Also the community is very clean. The rental is great too, from how clean it is to how the rooms are laid out. when I come back to the keys I know where I’m staying!

The unit definitely could use some attention. But considering the location and the desire NOT to pay KEY WEST prices it provided the accommodations we needed over all. Just be aware of the $125 additional fee for security which you have no choice in order to access the unit.

We stayed here for a few days while visiting family in Key West. The kids had a blast riding bikes around the neighborhood, the check-in process was easy and it was close enough to where we wanted to be. Make sure to note the 113 dollar fee at check-in that is not part of the rental.

Pool was broken entire stay from venture out and golf cart I ordered never came but as far as the property it was fine I do feel venture out owes me the $113 back I paid at the gate

Our stay was perfect , we had a wonderful time and our rental was just a little tropical hideaway! We were so cozy and comfortable, the beds and furniture were very comfortable had 30 nights of wonderful sleeps. Enjoyed meeting the owners on both sides of the place, was introduced to my first bourbon highball by the neighbor and loved it. I wish we had been able to meet our owner Dave, but had full contact with him as needed. He was always available as needed. Definitely where I hope to go for many years as we can . Thanks Dave for sharing your little piece of heaven with us for a much needed vacation.

The description of the property neclected to say that it is in a RV and mobile home park. The property was OK, it's a nicely decorated manufactured home, but very close to neighbors on both sides. There was no communication from the management company about the check in process. I had to contact the owner directly
and he kindly told me how to get into the property. We did not spend much time in the location of the property. The best thing about the property is that it is very convenient to Key West, where we spent most of our time.

Unit was initially clean and adequate but we couldn't use the toilet due to blockage. When we reported the problem to the management company they physically removed the toilet, leaving an open drain in the bathroom and no guest shower for the remainder of the stay! Wowza!

The home/cottage we stayed in I would say was adequate. It was clean and had most things needed for our stay but certainly not a place I would consider high end.
The community was very well kept and afforded a feeling of safety at all times. We enjoyed the pool many times and liked the proximity to dining at various places in the area.

The accommodations were nice, parking was tight for a larger truck. My main complaint, which was big as this was the reason for coming, was our group had come from out of state for the mini dive season. The listing described a place for our boat and use of the ramp. When we arrived, we could not enter the premises because there was no available places for our boat. It really was an inconvenience to be unfamiliar with the area and have to find a place to park and use of ramp for the boat, not to mention the added expense to do this!

Short Stay
We stayed for three nights. The property was clean and the community had a neat retirement/fishermans' retreat kind of vibe. We liked having access to kayaks and SUP. My only complaint was the $107 charge by Venture Out for the us of the amenities and parking pass. We only stayed three nights; spent the days exploring the keys and Key West; and only made use of the parking pass for $107....that's worse than parking prices in NYC. When my kids did go to the community pavilion to play ping pong, the tables were closed and nobody was around to assist them.

Fun in the sun!
The Venture Out community is a fun spot to enjoy various activities whether you stay for an extended period of time or a short visit. The double wide home we stayed in met our basic needs. If you like very, very firm beds, you'd enjoy this place. It could use some TLC to bring it up to my standards of cleanliness and comfort.

Great trip!
My partner and I rented this house to celebrate our birthdays ( my big 5-0 and his 48th). It was clean and equipped with everything we needed. The only drawback was the master bed was super hard.
The location was close enough to Key west yet far enough to enjoy the quiet after a long day of playing tourists. Check in was smooth and I can say the people there were all very friendly. The owner even left a little welcome cooler with a variety of drinks to enjoy. We loved the entire community and wouldn’t hesitate to rent there again.

Great Stay
This area was quiet and very comfortable! It’s a great location and has everything near by. The kitchen was well stocked with spices and pots and pans. The beds were a little hard for me but I prefer a soft mattress but my son loved it as her prefers a firmer mattress. I have no complaints at all! Would rent this place again and would stay longer!!

Quiet and Cozy
People in other reviews have complained about security. If there had been issues, those must have been resolved. We checked in with security and found the woman on duty to be polite, cheerful, and helpful. We didn't talk to security again until we left and the man at the gate was nice and polite.
The unit was clean and cozy. The kitchen was stocked with utensils, pots, and pans. We really enjoyed our time there. Since we went after the start in school in September, things were quiet.
I will say that anyone staying should note that the bed in the master bedroom is on wheels. Make sure the wheels are locked or you'll be rocking every time someone moves in the bed.
Finally, if you have questions, it's best just to call the realtor directly rather than use the VRBO message system.
We'll definitely rent again next year!

The house was cute as a button and clean! Bike chains were rusty and beds aren’t super comfy- but house was very comfortable and we loved having the kitchen and grill so we could eat some meals in. Short drive to Key West or Marathon. Great pool and good fishing - we can’t wait to go back!

Best stay. Best area. The description was accurate.
Getting there was easy. Entry into the u it was easy, as well. My sister could not figure out how to turn on the water in the shower (she actually thought the watwr wasn’t working 😂). I messaged the owners, and they were prompt and didn’t make fun of us when we figured out our issue was user error. This area is so awesome: overflow parking for one car, water access, fishing access, and pool access. Also, Cudjoe Key is fairly close to Key West. We had so much fun and were able to do so much.

Nice house in overbuilt area
The house itself was nice except for the fact there were no lamps in the bedrooms so you could not read in bed. And one of the outlets in one bedroom didnt work and the other bedroom didnt even have any proper lighting.
Otherwise the house on the inside was charming enough. It had Netflix which was a plus.
If you are going there with a biat to fish it is a good place for you. It is located in a crowed community that is like a glorified RV park with a nice pool and pier. So, there is not much room around the house at all. If your car does not fit in the short driveway you will be asked to pay $5 a night to park near the store or pool.
It was alright but I wish I had found something in a more charming environment.

Lovely stay
Hubby and I had a long weekend get away. This was perfect. The location was nice. The house was cozy. The amenities were enjoyable. We traveled to key west with ease most every day. VO provides a quaint, safe community for folks to enjoy. I’m so glad we came. I would absolutely come back in the future.
