The views from the bedroom, balcony, and living room are spectacular. We are a family of 4 and were visiting our daughter studying in CT. This was a perfect setting and the apartment was ideal for Lions Head, Table Mountain, gobsmackingingly beautiful sunset photos, and downtown CT. Anthony made communication seamless. Well stocked kitchen (and balcony grill) enabled us to entertain 10 of my daughter's friends (also studying abroad) who had not had a homecooked meal in 3 months. If returning to CT, will stay here - no question. Thanks.

Great stay, good sound system in the house and beautiful views of camps bay

A wonderful location! The view is amazing! Aesthetically the home is a bit tired but in saying that we would stay there again.

Sun lion villa is a great place to stay. Our family enjoyed the home & wonderful views. The owner is very helpful with detail packet of info. We also took advantage of the shopping service for groceries when we arrived. A quick uber ride to camps bay beach & downtown.

We are South African's living overseas. This time we brought friends with us and of course I wanted to impress them. Well the views from the house are spectacular, my guests were completely blown away. We ate our breakfasts on the deck every morning, lay at the pool every other day, and then walked down to the main road for dinner if we were not cooking ourselves. The house is well equipped with everything you need, especially if you are cooking yourselves. Great security and helpful staff. It's very easy to get an Uber within a couple of minutes. Also a quick Uber ride to more restaurants in the City. You are very close to Table Mountain Cable car, or hiking routes if you prefer. Our host Anthony was most helpful with details and assistance on any question I put to him. We had a wonderful time.

The view you get from the Sun Lion Villa is worth the five stars. The ocean and Lion's Head is a dramatic view. Table Mountain is right behind you. The villa is comfortable, clean, and well-appointed. Anthony, the host, was responsive and informative. The housekeeper, Clarah, was very nice. The proximity to the main street in Camps Bay was an easy five minute drive. It is in a safe location and we love every minute of our stay.

We had a wonderful two week stay in Cape Town. This was a far better option than the hotel on our last trip to Cape Town. The house was very comfortable and is focused around the magnificent view. The grocery store and supplies (Except alcohol) are a five minute Uber write down the hill. We made 41 Victoria St. our local restaurant although the Hussar Grill, just down the hill was really good also. Plentiful Ubers made getting around a snap. Thank you Anthony and your helpers for making our stay so memorable! One suggestion: install a solar heater for the pool - it would have been wonderful to be able to use the pool even though it was late winter in South Africa we still had some warm days. Overall, a GREAT stay!

Very easy to access house with such an amazing view. We arrived very late but the caretakers were ready for us. Absolutely stunning views from balcony and bedroom. Very very safe area and we never once worried about our security. Camps bay is just a couple dollar Uber ride from the house. House was extremely clean and laid out exactly as described. If you are looking for a house in the Cape Town area, this is the one to rent!

Sun Lion Villa is a well kept property in an ideal location - very scenic. Camps Bay, beach, Table Mountain and Waterfront are only a short drive away. The house in in a very safe neighborhood and the caretakers have an an eye on it when you are out.

Couldn't have been happier with our accommodation at the sun lion villa! The views speak for themselves! The architecture of the house is very unique and there is plenty of space for entertaining and all the amenities you will need. Anthony was an excellent host; very responsive and informative. Would definitely stay here again if/when I'm back to visit Cape Town!

Everything was super and if it goes we would rent this place again. The only thing what I thougt should be better communicated is when we left on Friday 17th March. I did not see the mail Anthony sent to me telling me that we have to leave in the morning already since the house has been booked by new guests, I fully respect this - no problem - but since I did not see that mail, I phoned Bernadette on Monday 13th March. She then told me about the new situation. I then asked her if we could still use the pool and shower till 14.00h where she said thats no problem. Good, I thought. However the lady who was cleaning the house told as on 16th March that she will start cleaning the next morning (17th) at 8 a.m. already. Then I called Bernadette again and told her, sorry but this is too early. We can leave the house by 9 a.m - so thats still one hour earlier than the rules show. I understood that bernadette still said we can still use pool and shower till 14.00h. Maybe this was a missunderstanding. Anyway we finally left 9 a.m. but Bernadette said that she is not comming so early but only at 14.00h. I thought she would want to go with us through the hose and check if everyting was OK. She said there is no need to do that. So I told her the two minor things which were broken already when we came - thats the wheel of the gas grill which was broken plus a lounge at the pool. I just wanted to make sure, that I would not get charged for this. She said that I should not worry about. Again - everything else was just great - we really liked this place. A perfect holiday home with breathtaking views, the house was comfortable and provided everything we required. Only criticism were the couple if wonky chairs by the pool which meant that only two of our party of 4 could enjoy sunbathing at a time. Easily put right I'm sure. We very much hope to return.

Two of us spent a luxurious week at Sun Lion Villa. It is very well equipped and exactly what we expected from the web site. Welcome included 2 bottles of wine. The Villa could easily have accomodated four people. Everything worked! It is quite a lot of steps to climb up from the parking in the road, but the view is fantastic once you get there.

Das für 4 Personen ausreichend große Haus ist sehr gut gelegen oberhalb der Bucht von Camps Bay. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten von Kapstadt sind gut und schnell erreichbar. Sehr freundlicher Empfang und eine kompetente Betreuung vor Ort. Sensationeller Blich aus dem Master Bedroom und von der wunderschönen Terrasse. Das Haus ist zwar schon etwas älter, die Bäder aber neuwertig renoviert. Insgesamt vermittelt das Haus einen freundlichen und gepflegten Eindruck. Der kleine Garten mit dem Pool lädt zum Sonnenbaden und relaxen ein. Die Küche ist modern und sehr gut ausgestattet. Wir kommen sicher wieder.....

Wir haben in der Sun Lion Villa zu viert zwei Wochen verbracht und haben uns einfach nur sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Lage ist absolut TOP. Der Blick von der Terrasse einfach nur Urlaub pur! Die Villa selbst wurde vor unserer Ankunft teil-saniert. Die Bäder waren komplett neu. Die Hausübergabe am Ankunfts- bzw. Abreisetag ging ohne Probleme über die Bühne. Kurz um - sehr empfehlenswert!!! Eiegntlich könnte jetzt der Urlaub erneut beginnen :-)

We recieved a very warm welcome from the owner Anthony. While trinking a glas of wine he shared a lot of interesting things to do and where to go. We loved the wonderful house with it gorgeous view. It is well siuated to reach all the interesting places around Cape Town. We were able to enjoy the unbelievable sun sets nearly every evening on the terasse. The house an it's surroundings was very clean and well maintained. The interior decoration was very tastful and left no wishes open. We can recommend Sun Lion with no limitation and would stay at this lovely place at all times. Many thanks to Anthony

After a long and tiring search through various web sites we decided upon Sun Lion Villa. It was within a few seconds of our arrival at the property that we knew all the effort had been worth it. The moment you step inside the villa you know you have made the right decision. And if your not convinced just open up the doors onto the veranda and take in the staggering view out to the Atlantic and the surrounding mountain, simply stunning. The villa offers a very comfortable stay with good sized bedrooms and even an on-suite in the master bedroom which comes in very handy. The bed in the master bedroom elevated to maximise the beautiful view out the Atlantic ocean, the perfect view to wake up to each morning. The outside area provides more than adequate space to sit back and relax after a day out visiting the sights. It was so perfect that we found ourselves staying in each evening with a Braai and the sound of the ocean in the background. We have never felt so relaxed. The property is set in a very quiet street so there are no disturbances to spoil your evenings. A few of the previous reviews complained about the stairs leading to the property but don't let this put you off. Yes it makes bringing your suitcase up to the villa a little hard work but you only have to do this once and when you see the view from the top it makes it all worth while. I would highly recommend the villa to anyone looking for a clean, spacious and well maintained property to use as a base for exploring this wonderful part of South Africa and wouldn't hesitate to book another stay next time I'm in Cape Town
