the apartment was surety on arrival, dirty pots, cooker, pet hair, it goes on !

It was an absolutely horrific experience for us all

Battered front door with weeds all over it. The next door held together with bits of mdf. Inside, strong Homeless Shelter vibes. Up stairs and first door has a mat outside, see photo. 4 flights up. Flat hot (all windows shut tight, little ventilation, 19C outside, but baking inside) and then, when I opened the door to the main bedroom, burning my throat, was the strong smell of smoke/tobacco/cannabis. I opened all windows. Apartment sleeps 5, there's a sofa and chair for 3, directly next to a small dining table for 4. Wifi was not working. The bathroom lock was completely broken. The shower appears to have been rescued from a skip at some point during the reign of George V abut was incongruously by a small shower screen. The water therefore flooded the floor. Furniture in the 2nd bedroom had some damage. Wardrobe in the main had an old cotton bud in. Some old/broken dusty kitchen parts/doors piled on the wardrobe in the main bedroom Right next to the bed is a cupboard (no top) housing a boiler You could see rubbish, dust & a void space and all the pipes above the flat below. Kept waking with a burning throat due to the cannabis smell. Got wheezy, having to get up and take my inhaler (was severely asthmatic by Day 2). Morning and I contacted H&S for help. No resolution, although an old man came and swilled dirty water across the dirty floor, soaking it, then passed the smelly mop over the TV shelf and windowsills as they were dusty. He was a pleasant guy but had no idea how to use a mop. By afternoon, cannabis smell FAR worse, H&S denying everything, was forced to move to Premier Inn for rest of holiday and pay for that too, or I'd have been very ill. The smell of cannabis is because they have an open void in the bedroom that needs sealing and flooring. They blamed the guy below - told me to call police, potentially putting myself & children in danger.

The stairs where inconvenient, the TV didn't work for a period of time , the shower was not the best and the exterior was very weathered

The hallway and stairs were smelly. The boiler in the bedroom was noisy and then it leaked gas. Not ideal.

It was really worse, there was many issues in the room. there was no latch for the bathroom and the sofa pillows was full of dog hairs , there was dog hairs all over the hall it was hard to sit on the couch, the whole room was not cleaned properly before. one person from the below flat asked us not to use our bathroom since there was a water leakage from our apartment to his bathroom . me and friends couldn’t shower because of this issue. we came to enjoy our holiday but it turned up to be a horrible experience . I am not at all happy with the stayI am not paying 250£ for this I need a refund for this room.

The central heating system fired up far too early causing disturbed sleep, the handrail from the front door unusable due to the hight and steep steps , the hinges on the toilet seat not very clean , did not use the cooker but the cooker lid was greasy.

wifi lost connection after first night which was a bit of a pain couldn't get back on it

The location is great! The apartment has clean, modern features and it's dog friendly. Overall, it is a lovely place to stay.

There were a couple of rips in the duvet covers and some stains on the sofa. However, the apartment was very clean and tidy. We had trouble with the WiFi but it was dealt with in a timely manner.

Super central location near the sea and all the facilities Saltburn has to offer. Very clean and functional. Dog friendly The flat is warm and comfortable

The boiler was next to the bed and kept going off during the night, which woke us up. We turned the room temperature down on the second night but it still went off. The broadband was down for the two days. The apartment is up 4 sets of stairs with no lift( we were aware it was a third floor apartment} Luckily we managed to park near the entrance on the road, but rest was full. Not sure if it stated a sea view but there isn't one.

Great location, comfortable flat, adequate for our needs, had everything we needed for our stay. We didn’t spend a lot of time in the flat as we were out most of the time. Good news regarding the teaspoon situation, there are now two, lol.

Lovely, clean and modern apartment. Fully equipped kitchen including cleaning products, and the essentials (tea, coffee, even a bottle of milk in the fridge.) Really comfy beds!

There were holders for fire extinguishers on every floor of the building but no extinguishers to be seen, which would be an issue in an emergency as the only way out is down 4 flights of stairs.

The windows didn't open more than 6" at most, it made it feel claustrophobic also the sofa wasn't very comfy.

Would of been lovely to have some rugs about to make it more homely. Plates and bowls were limited. Sounded like an earthquake when upstairs had their washer on! Scared the kids

Great location. Nice clean white towels. Clean property and lots of cleaning equipment. Milk, tea bags and sugar all provided.

Not enough wine glasses and only one teaspoon. Shower needs upgrading. Could do with a hand held shower option and it leaks on to the floor. Double bed in main bedroom a bit low and short for husband

Clean and well decorated apartment. Within walking distance of main amenities. Good size for a couple.

The boiler was in the main bedroom where we slept and kept firing up in the early hours (anytime between midnight and 5am) so we had disturbed sleep throughout our stay. It sounded like someone was running a tap or having a shower but neither of us were. We thought maybe the boiler was shared with the flat above but the staff told us it wasn’t. The whole point of going away was to relax and get a good night’s sleep. There were smaller issues such as shower panel leaked so had to put a towel on the bathroom floor and the hot tap in the bathroom was loose but these could be overlooked. A good night’s sleep though is the main reason for getting away.

Didnt like having to use the 2 entrance door handles that so many others were also using so hand gel should be a must in the entrance hall ,fronts two doors need a really good clean.more teaspoons needed as only one in the drawer,door broken to freezer compartment, also bathroom floor got soaked each time we showered as seal on shower door is broken,water will be going thru floor to flat below!!!

The bedrooms and sitting area were very comfortable.

Our main concern was to learn the apartment was on the THIRD floor and we - two pensioners - had to heave our suitcases and boxes of food etc all the way up. I've looked again at the booking.com description and while it says 'no lift' it doesn't spell out third floor. If we had known, I don't think we would have booked but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay nonetheless. Also, the front (unlocked) door was very heavy and involved teetering on the top step of the steepish flight off the street whilst pushing open the door. The water pressure in the bathroom was VERY slow but fine in the kitchen.

There was only one teaspoon in the accommodation and only 3 cereal bowls one of which had a chip in it There were 5 of us so couldnt breakfast together One of the dining chairs was wobbly so we didn't sit on that just in case.

Provide a hairdryer. Car parking although free we had to park on another street. Checkout time is early at 10 am and at 10am our door rang to find out if we were checking out, this was not helped by the fact we had to walk a little way to our car on another street and do several journies.
