Our stay at “Finally” was amazing! Our family really enjoyed walking the nature trail to the beach everyday and riding our bikes around the neighborhood checking out all of the observation spots on the bay, not to mention the cut is absolutely beautiful at sunset and a must see. The house itself feels secluded, but only a short walk to the beach. We didn’t bring our dogs but noticed it would have been a great stay for them as well with the enclosed back porch. A great SGI stay!

It was ideal being in the Plantation. We played pickleball, tennis, rode bikes. Will stay there again. The outdoor shower was a wonderful addition. Definitely use your rental credit for bikes and a cart! Made it so easy to get to and from the beach boardwalk. Dishes had been put away dirty and the ice tray had been empty. No ice trays so we had to wait a long while for the machine to start making ice again. More than normal amount of clean up required for checkout. They ask that beds and linens be stripped and that all dishes are washed, dried and put away. Timing that with a 10 am checkout is not easy and added stress, especially bc we needed to eat before we left. Also explains dishes being put away dirty. Overall, great place and wonderful time.

My wife and I stayed at the Finally property in The Plantation for three weeks. We were amazed at the quality of the development known as The Plantation and quite pleased with the quality of the property we stayed at, its location within the development and within a 5 minute walk of the beachfront. We thoroughly enjoyed the getaway and immediately made reservations for 2025.The Blue Parrot restaurant was the best place for us when dining out. The food was always delicious and the beachfront view was amazing.

Finally is a perfect house for our small family. Enjoyed a great Thanksgiving dinner at the house - such a well equipped kitchen, plenty of space for 2 or 3 to prep and cook. The entire space is well furnished and has everything you could want. The house is clean, beds comfortable - it is a gem!

Finally was all we were expecting and beyond.This property was comfortable, quiet, and clean and had all we needed.The house is a short walk from the beach, which we enjoyed A LOT with our mini Golden Doodle.We also rented bikes which we highly recommend to ride during sunsets inside the Plantation.

"Finally" is a very nice smaller (two-bedroom) home in the Plantation. We appreciated having everything on one level, and the split bedroom design and large living area made the home very comfortable. It is a nicely furnished home with a large, well-equipped kitchen. And it was clean and well-maintained. There's just a small view of the Gulf from the home, but it's a short walk to the beach and feels relatively secluded, set back on a short street, with trees around it. And we appreciated that we could have our small dog along with us. We would recommend this rental to others and also recommend Forgotten Shores Properties.

This was our first visit to St George Island and we absolutely loved it! The house was the perfect size for our family of 5 and the Sunday-Sunday rental was ideal with little traffic coming into or leaving the island.The house is well-appointed with a convenient location to the beach and the pool (on nearby Magnolia Lane). A block and a half from the beach down a path or on the road so super convenient. Neither beach nor pool were ever crowded at all!We loved being in the plantation for pool access and Bob Sike’s Cut for a beautiful sunset. My son hoped to fish but could not find anywhere on the island to rent a pole.The only two downsides to the house were no garbage disposal on sink (which may be due to the plumbing situation on the island) and only a charcoal grill (not gas). Other than those two minor things, we loved Finally and hope to be back for another visit!

This property checked all the boxes. This was our first trip to SGI and everything we heard was true. We had some concerns with not having a private pool and not being familiar with the Beaches or the access to them however those concerns were quickly erased. The two community pools within the Plantation were very close to the rental and Massive. Most of the time we had them all to ourselves. The Beach is a short walk around the corner which was made even easier with the free beach equipment and wagon that were provided with the rental. Another great surprise was the ocean views from the porch and Crows Nest. We were able to see Dolphins from the porch or the beach almost everyday. The home overall was very comfortable with plenty of seating and more than enough space for our family of 4. We had no problems whatsoever with anything. If I had any recommendations at all it would be for the owner to add games to the home. We brought some card games of our own but we do enjoy board games and such on those rainy days or sunburned evenings and it’s fun to see what rentals have and play games that you never have or haven’t in a while.

Perfect place for just the two of us
Not sure where to start...great location with a Gulf view, beautiful deck and widow's walk, great living room and beautiful, spacious kitchen and laundry area and the beds were super comfortable. We walked to the beach access most days (not even 5 minutes) and rode bikes, sat waterside for hours. It was incredibly peaceful. We loved being so close to the water without paying front tier prices not to mention alot less wind than beachfront but you could still see AND hear the waves from the deck and widow's walk. Plus, with just the two us and not wanting the condo experience, it isn't always easy finding a house that's just the right size. This house fit the bill.
We ventured out, here and there, to grab some things from the market but there restaurants and bars you can go to if you get cabin fever. We've had many a fun night at Harry A's and good eats at BJs Pizza. The island has so much to offer. But again, this trip, we stayed close to home which was the best place to be. I also need to commend Jamie and the rental/management company. They were friendly and quickly responded to any questions I had. The house is beautiful and you can't beat the location; it's definitely where you want to be if you're looking for tranquility and a restorative getaway. We'll be back.

"Finally" is exactly as pictured; very clean, updated property with new appliances and remodeled kitchen. This property was better stocked with supplies than any property we have stayed at on SGI. Lindsay and Jamie at Forgotten Shores were really helpful and easy to work with when we changed the dates of our stay twice. We would rent this or another property from Forgotten Shores again. This is the first property review I have ever written.

Perfect !
Such a sweet property !! Spotlessly clean upon our arrival. Loved the layout - open with high ceilings and master suites on both end. The 3/4 covered porch around the home was a real highlight for us. We loved sitting outside n the deck in the evenings , where we could see and hear the ocean easily.
The privacy of the property was ideal for us. We would love to come back. Always love the Plantation - so quiet we could hear a pin drop at night.
Finally was just the right place for us at the right time !

We had an amazing time at Finally! The house was very clean, updated, well stocked, and honestly, perfect. It was so close to the beach and in a quiet neighborhood . We loved the decks and taking walks in the neighborhood and on the beach. We wished we didn’t have to leave! Would highly recommend and would love to return. Thank you!
