Besser geht es nicht. "Breakwater Lodge" ist eine wunderschön handgefertigte 4-Jahreszeiten-Blockhütte, die 2018 komplett renoviert wurde. Es liegt idyllisch am Ostufer des Mooselookmeguntic Lake, dem viertgrößten See in Maine. Washington in der Ferne. Ein großes Dock klettert über den Wellenbrecher und ist wie geschaffen, um in den See zu springen. Die Drei-Jahreszeiten-Veranda eignet sich perfekt zum Lesen und zum Hören der Seetaucher. The spot on the lake was amazing and the house is so adorable. The agent was on top of their game, I have never been so welcomed and well informed about the property and the area.

The property is immaculate with attention to every detail needed for a upscale camp experience on the lake. Has a very warm welcoming atmosphere. Wonderful set up for families.

A group of 10 friends stayed here for our annual trip. This property was perfect. Just as advertised. Spotlessly clean, plenty of room, and a lovely dock. This property had all the amenities and the location cannot be beat. We are already planning our trip back next year!

The house was beautiful and immaculate. The lake view was breathtaking! My only thing to comment on is that the bedroom with the bunk beds can only be accessed by a steep ladder. Just something to be aware of. I would highly recommend the Oquossoc Grocery for takeout pizza. We would definitely return to this house.

We love this vacation rental and hope to rent this again next year. We did have a few issues, but Morton Furbish staff were great and very responsive.
One light on the lock is out and I would suggest this get fixed. Also, window in the dining area needs a screen. Thank you!

Breakwater Lodge
We have stayed in numerous homes over the last several years for our adult snowmobile trip. This home was by far the best yet! Cant say enough of how gorgeous this home was. The views of the lake were amazing! The open floor plan allowed us to all be together the entire time. We would highly recommend this home for a large family or fun get a way with friends.

For the Thanksgiving Holiday I had brought my own different pans and pie plates and they had everything. I even brought my own spices and they had that as well. Great open family design which is what you want for a family gathering.

Beautiful cabin
Unfortunately when we arrived on Sunday the cabin had a definite smell that someone had smoked pot in the cabin. We immediately called Morton and Furbish to let them know. The smell lingered the entire stay. Great location Enjoy your weekend

What a beautiful property
We loved our stay at Breakwater Lodge. It is a beautiful home, easy to live in, in a remarkable place. We'd love to come again and again.
My only "constructive criticism" is regarding the range top. The burners need to be adjusted so that it is possible to simmer. Currently, even the lowest setting on each of the burners causes things to come to a full boil. That said, the kitchen is really great and so well equipped! It was a joy to cook there.

Breakwater Lodge was a wonderful place to experience a three generation family vacation! The spacious house and private waterfront were the perfect backdrop to enjoy family and the outdoors. The house was well appointed with everything we needed, including a large dining table that accommodated all of us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return again.

July Family Get Together
Our stay at Breakwater was fantastic as my sister and I got our two families together this summer. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed (but don't often get in a rental) for those that love to cook. Everything from sharp knives, amazing pans (including well seasoned cast iron and non-stick) to graters and garlic press! Everyone said their beds were super comfortable and the fire pit and dock were exceptional. The only thing I would change is the lighting in the main house - lots of lights, just a little brighter for us readers and jigsaw puzzlers!

Breakwater Lodge
This lodge is huge! Wanted to check it out for a possible family gathering in 2021. Gorgeous location and spectacular scenery right from the large fire pit. The interior, exterior, dock, and boathouse, all were beautiful and well maintained.
We rented a pontoon boat from BMC and drove it right to the lodge for easy loading.
My wife and I have been coming up to Rangeley almost continuously now for 14 years since we first met in 2006. We've stayed in many camps, but Breakwater Lodge has us now spoiled.
I highly recommend this lodge to families and will to all I speak to of the Rangeley area.
Not to mention Bald Mountain Camps restaurant and bar are just around the corner!

Beautiful Breakwater Lodge
Once again we had a beautiful family vacation at Breakwater Lodge. It is spacious and has a great waterfront dock and access. It served as the afternoon and evening home base for our extended family staying in several camps on the lake. The kitchen, dining room and outdoor area is a great venue for our lakeside afternoons followed by dinner with the crowd. The house has everything you need to enjoy a comfortable and fun vacation, including a great fire pit to take in the sunsets and family time around the fire pit.

We were here for a long awaited family reunion. The cottage gave us everything we could want, very comfortable beds, lovely porch and great views of the lake thru the living room lge window. Very gracious of the owners to allow use of kayaks, which we also enjoyed. Every night was so special with our family to enjoy the super fire pit. A time many of us will remember for a long time. Thanks for helping us make many memories.

This was our 3rd year at 585 and again, we had a wonderful time. New updates included brand new mattress for a very comfortable sleep, removal of extra furniture which seemed to enlarge the area by 10 and we finally realized we could open the door facing the lake an enjoyed a ton of fresh breezes coming into the home. 5 STARS!!!

A Very Relaxing Weekend
This is the 2nd year we have rented 585 Moose Lodge. It is the quintessential Maine Camp - very rustic, yet all the conveniences one would need. We cooked some great meals, and the kitchen was completely equipped. The property is peaceful and private, with a great, safe place to keep our boat. Our dog was so happy being able to chase a tennis ball on the huge piece of land, or going swimming off the gradual entry. We heard a symphony of loons, the chirping of some baby wood peckers, and the wonderful sound of small waves lapping at the shore. What a wonderful long weekend!

A wonderful family get together
This was the perfect place to spend some time with our two grown daughters and their spouses. My son-in-law has been wanting a remote fishing trip, while one of my daughters prefers glamping. We were able to satisfy everyone with this gorgeous spot. Plenty of space, privacy, views, all amenities and yet close enough to more than ample fishing spots and hiking trails. Thank you Keepers of the Camp for sharing this wonderful place with us.

Had a great time fishing the lake. Had been camping on Cupsuptic the last several years and decided to rent a camp this time - good choice!! The camp was all we were looking for and more. Well (very well) equipped. Hope to be back next year.

Great Getaway!
We just spent a wonderful Memorial Day weekend at this property. It is rustic, but a perfect spot. The house was clean, very large, very well-equipped with everything and so private. The dock was perfect for our boat and our dog loved swimming off the beach every day.
Even though we have lived in Maine our whole lives, we truly felt as if we had a great Maine experience. This house helped us relax, unwind and unplug. Thank you!
