Beautiful Log Home Overlooking Flathead Lake in Bigfork Montana!
Cherry Creek Retreat in Montana ist ein 7 Hektar großes Grundstück, das sich über einem der höchsten Punkte von Flatheads East Lake Shore befindet. Die Bigfork-Liegenschaft befindet sich in der Nähe des Glacier Parks und ist auf allen Seiten von der Schönheit des Flathead Valley umgeben. Dahinter sind hohe bewaldete Berge. Dazwischen stehen Kirsch- und Apfelbäume, eine alte rote Scheune, 3 Forellenteiche und der wunderschöne Cherry Creek. Nur wenige Minuten entfernt liegt Flathead Lake mit Bootszugang zum Yellow Bay State Park, Woods Bay und Bigfork. Ein Boots- und Kajakverleih sowie das geführte Fliegenfischen stehen zur Verfügung. Das 3-stöckige, handgefertigte Blockhaus mit Pfosten und Balken bietet von allen Zimmern aus eine spektakuläre Aussicht. Drei Plattformen fließen von den großen Räumen mit französischen Türen. Holzböden, Felsarbeiten und Kunst nach Maß sorgen für zusätzliche Schönheit. Zusätzlich gibt es zwei Überlaufkabinen. Diese Unterkunft ist perfekt für Familientreffen und Hochzeiten geeignet. Wir erlauben jedoch nur Gruppen von mehr als 10 Personen ein paar Mal im Jahr. Daher veröffentlichen wir auf dieser Website eine maximale Kapazität von 12 Personen. The place was great. Loved the fruit trees and fish ponds on the property. The view was gorgeous and loved it was five minutes from the state park beach. The location was great, not far from Glacier, close to many activities, and close to restaurants. The house was fully stocked with lots of items. The house was comfortable and fit our family well. The area is fantastic with so much to do. We would recommend and stay again.

Huge lot with fantastic back yard to enjoy a glass of wine in the afternoon/evening and a gorgeous deck view of the lake.
Sleeping to the sounds of the stream was relaxing and the game room was great.
The deck can be loud, buy when we wanted quiet we retreated to the great backyard.

Charming, cozy cabin at a great location about 10 minutes from downtown Bigfork. Beautiful views of the lake and surrounding area from the three balconies. We really enjoyed the fire pit and the boys liked fishing in the small trout pond! Loved staying here and would recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Flathead Lake.

We were a group of 11, ranging from age 3 to 70's including 5 kids. We spent a day of our week in Montana just enjoying this cabin, the cherry, apple and other ripe fruit trees, feeding the trout and enjoying the surroundings. We enjoyed the beach and stream at the state park just 3 miles south. We lived on the deck. Just under an hour from West Entrance to the park, which was not a tough trip. Good grocery and restaurant options 5 (Woods Bay) to 15 (Bigfork) minutes away - we didn't even have to go to Kalispell for anything. Flathead Lake is beautiful and offers a number of recreation opportunities. Every one of my group was really pleased to be there.

My family stayed here to visit family and glacier park. The home has a beautiful view of flathead lake. The home is fully stocked with everything you can need for cooking and outdoor activities. Even bear spray which was nice since there was a bear roaming the area at the time. My family had a great time feeding the fish and picking cherries. The one challenge was there is no a/c in the home. The temperature was running around 95 while we there.

We all had a great time! House was well equipped with everything we needed, close to Glacier and other fun activities. Backyard gave us space to spread out and catching cherries on season a huge bonus. Totally enjoyed the month we were there. Highly recommend to other guests.

I highly recommend staying here. The house was very clean, had lots of room and was stocked with everything we needed. The property was beautiful; we loved feeding the fish in the pond. The view over the lake was amazing. The property owners were so accomodating and kind.

The view was beautiful, the beds comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The fish ponds were a hit with the grandchildren who loved feeding the fish. The cherries and raspberries were wonderful. The location was perfect and we enjoyed our time at Yellow Bay and Glacier National Park. Our major issue was that the house had mice. The owner agreed to a 10% discount on the property, but the issue was not resolved during our week-long stay. Mouse feces were evident in the house and on the outside decks and railings. Traps in the house did not appear to be catching the mice that we would see running around on the second floor in the evenings. Owner was aware of the problem, attempted to plug holes and catch mice before our stay and thought the problem was resolved. Also, one of the first floor bedrooms had a cat urine smell. The upstairs bathtub fabric surround appeared to be dirty or rusty, and either soap scum was evident or the surface of the tub was damaged. There was a small piece of glass left on the kitchen floor under the cabinets that resulted in a minor foot injury. If the mouse problem had been taken care of and a few minor cleaning issues resolved, it would have been a perfect stay.

Property was big and spacious, cherry trees galore and ponds were nice. For us, it was a very lengthy drive to everything we were scheduled for, but that is on us. The actual property was very well stocked and clean! As many places in this area, there was no air conditioning, but we loved the place!

Great family/friends retreat
Great place. Please replace stove. My son-in law and daughter are professional chefs. The oven only heated to 350 degrees. My husband did NOT get his 69th special birthday cake. Better knives too!

Beautiful Property
What a wonderful family vacation! All four generations had a great relaxing time. Kids really enjoyed the fish ponds and the creek. Even enjoyed the family recreation room and the sleeping loft. Plenty of bedspace for 6 adults and 3 kids. Highly recommended.

Nice Time Past Season
We stayed mid September when things were slowing down for the season. Weather was nice except occasional smoke from multiple forest fires.
We enjoyed the ripe pears and apples. The yard was restful and pleasant. Didn’t see any bears.
Overall it was a great time for our family. We would love to stay here again.

Trip to remember for the ages
Unable to express the beauty and pleasure of the property and surroundings. Please read my entry in the guest book at property for things to do... my family ranging from 11 yrs to 54 yrs had a amazing time and will Remer it forever. I will come back. The house alone was worth the trek to Montana from NJ. I advise anyone that loves scenic skylines. Beautiful water, nature, fresh fruit at your fingertips and various areas to tour, shop and enjoy scenic excursions that can't be found elsewhere. Take this trip and rent this property and u will not be sorry. Property clean, inviting. Well stocked and great communication between owners and tenants.....thx for the trip

Spacious but cozy with plenty of space for our family to be together. Great location for outings on Flathead Lake, hiking in Jewel Basin, and access to Glacier NP. Penny & Letty were wonderful communicators.

July 4th Getaway
Great spacious property with room to expand if you had a larger party staying. The home was very welcoming and communication with the owners was great. It was a little drive to amenities but close enough to be there within minutes. The view was good and the house was filled with everything we needed. There is no A/C in the house but each room had fans which helped in the midst of hot July days. Keeping the windows and doors open with the fans on at night cooled the house a lot. The lake and late night sky views are great. We would definitely be interested in visiting again!

Great house in a great location
The house was big and very appropriate for a group that spends time together. There were only four of us, but we loved the space. I could easily see a much larger group enjoying the place. The outdoor decks are great and there is a feeling of openness in the layout. Location is perfect for exploring the area. The managers were prompt answering every question we had.

Great family get away!
Loved the log cabin and location was great. The property outside was maintained well. Love the little ponds and the view was amazing. The owners were great to work with. The only down fall was the extra buildings that could be rented separately. They hadn't been cleaned, most likely due to COVID. Would be nice to see those buildings updated. It was great to see the family pictures hanging on the walls and know this house is very special to the family. Definitely would stay again, and hopefully soon too!

Amazing getaway
Penny and Jim's property is fantastic. Wrap around deck on the front of the house has great views of Flathead lake. We grilled and ate out there every night weather permitting. There is a great back yard and a road/trail that is a about a 45 minute roundtrip hike that we did most afternoons. Lots of space. We will return.

Cherry Creek is a special place
When we found out our kids were going to have to continue Zoom schooling, we immediately decided to find a nice place we could live for a month to get away from it all. We could not have found a more perfect spot. Cherry Creek is beautiful, spacious and perfectly located. It's not in a town but close enough to Bigfork and Woods Bay that all the town amenities like restaurants do not feel far away at all (we spent a lot of evenings at the Raven & Riley's Pub and a lot of mornings at Pocketstone). The house is both spacious and cozy. The views are incredible and the back yard is expansive. Our kids (and dog) couldn't get enough of running around the backyard and feeding the trout in the trout ponds. Waking up every morning, I wasn't sure which view I wanted to admire first, the lake in front or the mountains in back. Penny & Jim are also incredible hosts and were very responsive when we had questions. In sum, Cherry Creek is perfect... we have already looked into times when we can come back.

We had the best time at their Bigfork mountain cabin. We had a large group of 12 that included all ages, and everyone was thrilled with the home. There was plenty of room for everyone. The kids loved the fish ponds, and the adults enjoyed the porch overlooking the lake with a mountain view. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Penny was responsive and easy to work with- everything provided for a great family trip. Cozy, tasteful decor throughout. Loved the deck view of Flathead Lake for morning coffee and evening sunsets with a glass of wine. Grounds had tranquil fish pond and little waterfalls. Picked some fresh pears, apples, and plums for breakfast. Thank you for sharing your little piece of paradise in Montana. Would definitely return!

Breath Taking View

Great place to stay
Booked for a guys trip. Super convenient location to do things around Flathead Lake. Property is awesome and we ended up grilling out / around the campfire more than going out to eat since the house/property were so nice. Accommodated ya arriving earlier in the day than expected. Would definitely consider for a family reunion type of trip in the future.
