The house was immaculate, gorgeous construction, so many extras, quality pans, etc… Fireplace was roaring, kids went sledding in the backyard, short ride to Mount Snow. I would rent again in a minute. Definitely stay here, you won’t regret it. Owner was very accessible and nice. Perfect Vermont Retreat!!

Our family had a wonderful stay at the property. The home is spacious and very well-equipped. The kids enjoyed the games downstairs and of course the skiing nearby. We had a great stay and hope to come back.

House was warm and spacious. Perfect for my family, including young children, to hang out for our first ski/snowboard trip. It was a 15 minute drive to Mt. Snow. We had a few days of rain, but we didn't mind spending the day indoors with a nice warm fireplace. Kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms well stocked with pots, pans, paper goods, and towels. Laundry was also easily accessible. Owner was very responsive whenever we had a question. Excellent communication. Thank you!

We stayed here a couple of years ago with our kids & grandkids and came back with two couples for a little getaway. House is so clean & well equipped! Great Location! We went sledding in the backyard and hiked Hogback Mountain which was perfect. Hosts are so pleasant and easy to communicate with. We are looking forward to returning again! You will not be disappointed booking this house!

We had a wonderful stay. Check in was easy, and we walked into a house that was even better than described. The rooms were comfortable, and the gathering areas were spacious but also cozy for the family. Fire wood was stocked and ready to go, and the fireplace became a centerpiece of our stay. Did lots of cooking for Thanksgiving and the kitchen had everything we needed. The owner was kind to suggest hiking options nearby, but given the snow during our stay we skipped the hiking and hung out by the fire place. We also skipped on using the fire pit because of the snow, but it was there and looked inviting. The children enjoyed playing games in the basement. Lots of space to spread out as needed. View from the deck was pleasing and the area is quiet and serene. Owner was responsive when we had questions. We really just felt at home. I imagine the lake being so close by is a great option for the summer. We would certainly consider coming back. In fact, I think it is quite likely we will.

If you’re looking for a place to kick back and relax this is the house for you. true timber frame construction the great room and fireplace are second to none. awesome property great views. the owner is very knowledgeable, extremely friendly, and very easy to work with.

This house was perfect for our family vacation. 4 kids ages 4-8 and 6 adults. Tons of space and gorgeous views. Host was extremely responsive anytime we needed anything.

We rented this property to celebrate our parents 60th wedding anniversary. There were 8 adults: me, my siblings, our spouses and our parents. There was plenty of space, it was the best stocked house we have ever rented. Very clean and comfortable. Views out the back are amazing. We were only here for 2 night - and it rained both nights - so we really were not able to take advantage of the deck or the fire pit. We realized it was the first time that my parents, brother, sister and myself had all slept under the same roof in 30 years! Perfect large table so we could have meals together and play board games and cards. The bathrooms were nice- and as the last person to take a shower in the morning I was happily surprised that there was still plenty of hot water. The town of Wilmington is quaint, had a great lunch in town, a fantastic breakfast at Dot’s, walked through the flea market (much smaller than we pictured). We would definitely stay here again!

Stayed with my family during the summer. House was big, well lit, and lovely. Short car ride down to the lake, or about a half an hour ride into Battleboro for a fun day trip.

We totally recommend this property. Our entire family had a wonderful summer vacation.

The stay was perfect from start to finish! Not only was the home beautiful and welcoming but had everything we could have needed for our stay. We would absolutely recommend this location if you enjoy fishing and experiencing the outdoors while also relaxing in comfort! We will be crack again for sure 😁

Our group had a fantastic time staying at this property. It was very well equipped with anything you need. Location was great- close to market, restaurants and slopes. Michael was fantastic. He even built our first fire for us. Would definitely stay again.

We cannot speak highly enough about this property! The house was immaculate and the view was breathtaking. Everyone raved about how comfortable the beds were and loved how updated the furniture and decor was. The fireplace is magnificent and the house has everything you could ever need for an amazing stay. Pictures honestly don't do this place justice- it far exceeded anything we expected! We've stayed at a lot of rentals and this one was by far our favorite. Thank you Michael, for an amazing stay! We loved your home!

Everything about the stay was amazing! The town and people were so nice and the home was beautiful!

Everyone in my party of 6 all over the age of 60 gave me favorable comments about the rental. We were visiting the area to play golf at Haystack and the house is perfectly located for that. My wife commented she would like to come up again with our kids and grandkids, so she was very pleased. Very comfortable, plenty of bathrooms, nice showers, great stove if you want to cook. We enjoyed some beers around the fire pit in the backyard. The great room in this house has alot of room and could easily accommodate a party twice our size. Nice place, very fairly presented by the pictures on VRBO. I liked it, can't you tell?

I’ve been renting VRBO properties for 17 years and this is a tough review for me to write. I want to be fair and honest. The house is lovely in concept. The living room is stunning with its high ceilings and stone fireplace. The design is beautiful, beds comfy, view is gorgeous. The area is quaint and downtown Wilmington is charming. Those things said, in my opinion, the house is in need of upkeep and was dirty. There are holes in the walls, peeling paint, the deck stairs feel rickety, the screen door is ripped. Getting to the fire pit is treacherous down a steep hill and older members of our party felt unsafe even attempting to get there. The basement is subpar. The carpet is old and buckling. The furniture is gross, the TV sitting on a stand that doesn’t support it and it’s bowing under the weight. We were afraid to touch it! The pool table is unusable and downright dangerous with exposed nails and screws that I cut my hand on. There are mousetraps in a kitchen drawer. The fridge was full of expired and even moldy condiments! The jacuzzi jets were crusted with dirt and we didn’t even want to chance using the tub. There were dust bunnies behind the bed, between the furniture in the living room. I contacted the owner about the condition of the home and the pool table. I do appreciate his effort to appease me but felt it was an underwhelming effort especially in light of my injury from the broken pool table. I can see from the guest book and the story of the home that this is a sentimental property for the family but for me there is no obvious pride of ownership in the upkeep and we were overall quite disappointed. We even checked out a day early as we could not wait to get home. I feel bad being so harsh but as a VRBO member, it’s my responsibility to leave an honest review.

Beautiful house, everything was in good shape and as described, beds are comfortable, and Michael was a great host.

Perfect 10. Great place and super experience

Wow. This property is sensational - we could not get enough of the floor to ceiling fireplace, A-frame with tons of windows, living room setup, wood character throughout, and fully stocked and open kitchen. There were plenty of beds, bathrooms, and room to relax for the 10 adults. 15 minutes from Mt Snow and expansive outdoor space made this the perfect location. Michael was so easy to communicate with. We can’t wait to come back!

Perfect place for a large family. Fully stocked with all supplies. Gorgeous great room and plenty of activities for the kids. We just recommend wearing a helmet going sledding in backyard especially for the younger ones. I would definitely recommend it.

We loved our stay here! It was quiet and located remotely but still so close to Wilmington and Dover, so we were able to quickly get to the mountain for skiing. the location is perfect. And drinks in front of the fire were so relaxing while the kids played in the basement.

This is an amazing property and one of the best we have stayed in. Everything you need is in the house and the beds are so comfortable. Michael was an amazing host. House is beautiful. Pictures don’t do it justice and the fireplace is gorgeous. We would love to stay here again. Don’t hesitate to book this property. Have rented a lot of homes and this was one of the best.

Michael’s home is beautiful! Incredibly well-stocked, gorgeous yard and views, home is immaculate. Michael was really responsive to emails and texts when I had last minute questions. We really appreciated the pack n play and the kids had a great time rolling down the hill and exploring the trail in the backyard. We took a drive to Brattleboro to visit Retreat Farm which we definitely recommend. A wonderful stay all around!

Very large home with everything you need. Mike the owner was great to work with. Went with friends for the weekend had plenty of rooms and bathrooms. Loved the large fireplace. Would recommend this home .
