Ursprünglich im Jahr 1890 als Wohnhaus für die Cranberry-Moor-Towers des Landes erbaut, wurde dieses malerische Häuschen 1980 zu einem ganzjährigen Haus ausgebaut. Es befindet sich auf einem 3/4 Hektar eines abgelegenen Waldgebiets und hat einen eigenen Weg zum privaten Abschnitt von Lambert's Cove Beach - ein 4-minütiger Spaziergang bringt Sie zum Kamm mit Blick auf den Sand und den Vineyard Sound dahinter. Das Haus selbst ist charmant und hell, mit rustikalen Details und individuellen Details. Voll ausgestattete Küche, ein gemütliches Wohnzimmer mit Tagesbett, Holzofen, eine halbumwickelte Terrasse mit Holzkohlegrill und Außendusche; Alles, was Sie hören, sind die Geräusche der Natur und Wellen, die in der Ferne an Land stürzen. Im Obergeschoss finden Sie zwei Schlafzimmer, eines mit einem großen Bett und eines mit zwei Einzelbetten, viel Stauraum und eine gut ausgestattete 3/4 Badewanne. Wir freuen uns, Sie zu Hause zu begrüßen!

Easy access to a great beach is biggest attribute! We loved it, but we had good weather. But there is no comfortable place to sit inside and only central lights hanging from ceiling; no good for reading. Details: No microwave as listed; good A/C not listed; no directions for TV, so no local news/weather available; smoke detectors removed; no departure instructions for laundry or trash. Seems like the listing has been coasting on beach access, w/o attention to some details. But we had a great time at the beach!

A cabin in the woods with a 3 minute walk through the forest leading to one of the loveliest beaches on the island - can't beat it with a stick!

We really enjoyed our stay at this cozy cottage in the woods. The kitchen is fully equipped except for a microwave and the gas grill works perfectly. The bed was soft, but comfortable. The best part was that you're nestled in nature with private access to Lambert's Cove Beach. We couldn't have asked for a better getaway!

This simple house in the middle of a secluded property is just what our family wanted for a peaceful getaway. Walk to a stunning beach; take a quick drive to unforgettable hikes; enjoy the quiet of the house and woods. Lambert's Cove is a great location in and of itself and a great starting point for exploring all of Martha's Vineyard.

I’ve reviewed before- we keep coming back to Bog House because it’s the perfect get away, provides best of both worlds- cool shady yard with easy access to sunny beautiful beach. Rustic charming and has everything you need for a traditional MV weekend.

Though a small cottage; the space is well-designed with ample storage to hide luggage, and other items not needed. Bonus of washer/dryer too! Great outdoor shower; & 3 min walk to beach!

Our family loves this compact cottage by the sea. This is our second summer and we have already booked for next year. The Bog House comes with everything you need for a great stay Our family of four was comfortable and we loved being able to walk (3 minutes) to the best beach on the Vineyard - Lambert's Cove. The owners are responsive to questions, the cottage clean, and again, the easy access to the beach is the best. We can't wait to stay again.

This was such a sweet and cozy, very charming cottage! It was incredible to be so close to the beach and have access to it. It Felt very private, while also being convenient to so many things. It was very well furnished and we really enjoyed our stay, thank you!

Lovely lil' cottage in Lamberts Cove
My husband, 12 y/o and I had a wonderful Vineyard vacation at Angela & Russell's cottage. It's cozy but well-equipped and an efficient use of space. Best of all is its location: walk in to Lambert's Cove, one of the prettiest beaches on the island. And centrally located for both up and down island adventures. The hosts were lovely. We'd love to return. Thank you Angela & Russell for a memorable stay!

Great stay in towards the middle of the island to do a little bit of everything. The short walk to the beach was a huge plus to be at the beach for the afternoon and walk back.

Location location location!
Cute, very small cottage on a nice, little private property. The path to the beach takes 3 minutes to walk. The beach was beautiful and a lovely place to while away the days. It was a wonderful vacation spot for our family!

Wonderful stay!
My family loved our stay at the bog house! It was perfect for a quiet getaway and my children loved the short walk to the beach. We spent every day enjoying the water and sand on Lambert’s Cove. Highly recommend this little treasure on the Vineyard- we will definitely be back!

Beach Paradise
The Bog House was everything we needed. We postponed this trip for a year due to covid (thankfully the owner let us push the reservation out a year). The location is perfect away from the hustle bustle of tourists. The beach is amazing. Morning walks. Afternoons sun sessions. Evening sunsets. It may be the best beach on the entire east coast. The house was perfect for a small family. Highly reccomend.

My wife, our 7 month old and I stayed here in the summer for a week. It is a wonderful spot! Quiet, private and a 2 minute walk to the sandy and un-crowded beach along a wooded path. The house has everything you need for cooking and living as well as plenty of beach chairs, toys, umbrellas etc. it is also a quick drive to vineyard haven if you need to pick anything up or want to make a visit to town. I highly recommend staying here.

Wonderful cottage close to gorgeous beach!
The cottage near Lambert's Cove beach is the perfect spot to enjoy MV. The home was clean, comfortable, and a beautiful wooded walk to one of the best beaches in MV. The hosts were exceptionally helpful when we had questions, and our family of four was perfect for dinner, reading, and board games. It is a small, well-kept cottage in a peaceful place. The simple walk to the beach was easy and we spent most of our time there. Looking forward to renting this rustic gem next simmer!

Exactly what we were looking for
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed a restorative stay at the bog house. We like the slower pace of living in this area of the island and the home is perfectly situated right off the beach. With the amenities of the house and the ocean just a short walk away, we rarely felt the need to go anywhere else. The property is private and densely wooded. The house is small, yet functional. Thank you for the opportunity to stay in this wonderful home!

My mom and I decided to take a girls trip to Martha’s Vinyard and found the Boghouse! It. Is. A. Dream. It was perfect for the two of us. I do think that it’s important to have a vehicle for this stay (we didn’t). We used the bus line and which worked out okay but the #2 that serves the house only runs until about 6pm. (We made it work).
The owner, Russ, was awesome and very accommodating; he even brought over beach chairs for us! Our favorite part were the private beach (of course) and the outdoor shower. We would 100% recommend! Thank you Russ!
