The privacy was good, and the location. I liked the nature around the room.

Nice clean family run lodge perfect for a rafting trip. I had my brother and chihuahua with me. Everyone was impressed.

We stayed for a couple of days to enjoy the wonderful Turrialba, San Rafael, Santa Cruz and San Antonio, it's a great small hotel with beautiful gardens and Luis was a fabulous host, providing excellent tips on activities that we could do in the area. We had a really good time, did some hiking, bird watching, waterfalls... would love to come back.

Beautiful garden, peaceful surroundings especially during the day with sightings of colorful tropical birds daily. Wonderful,kind & awesome host. Went above & beyond his duty. We love the different hut & sitting areas & read in a beautiful park like setting surrounded with lots of foliage & tropical plants & flowers.Fresh fruits, juice,coffee & tasty breakfast was a plus. Enjoyed the greetings of his friendly dogs & cat Leo daily. Pura Vida! We will return again , we really had an awesome stay here...

Barking of dogs intermittently at night & early mornings from around neighborhood dogs. Not referring to the dogs in this lodge, they are friendly &peaceful pets.

Great location to enjoy beautiful views of the green surroundings, close to turrialba park for some hiking, lovely owner who tries to accommodate your wishes - he even ordered dinner in for us an got it from the restaurant as it was raining (thanks again :)), breakfast is lovely!

The most outstanding location. The cabinas are beautifully situated. The host is so accommodating and helpful. Somewhere not to be missed. It is well off the beaten track but a total oasis! Great breakfasts!

Gorgeous, peaceful location in mountains, amidst lovely little homes and farms. Beautiful gardens and surrounding areas to walk around. Very friendly, helpful host. Good breakfast and access to some great local restaurants.

IF I had seen email from Booking.com that morning, telling me we were canceled, it would have been terrible, as we would have gone somewhere else. But we arrived and the owners were able to accommodate us.

We wished to stay longer. Our place was beautifully decorated, with kitchen, living room, balcony and extra bedroom! Gardens are most beautiful I’ve seen! We spend few hours just watching remarkable birds, the view was amazing and breakfast just outstanding! Thank you!

The property and its surroundings are beautiful. And our cabin was away from the others.

Customer service was lacking, and there was little to no hot water in the shower.

we saw a Lot of birds and a sloth while just staying in the grounds - which are very lovely maintained...

The breakfast was nice.

We tried 3 rooms till we found a room that functions well. Only after we found out that the hot water in this room is not working. They have many dogs wandering free at the property which made me feel unsafe. The signs to the property are not clear at night. We parked at a private property at first.

Lodge tried to cheat us with the bill. Accommodation totally different from photos and description. Stayed only one night instead of two. Outdated (1950s!), noisy, dirty, small. No hot water. Stay away.

This is a nice family-run hotel, with rustic cabins set in nice gardens. There is a lovely view of the Turrialba valley. The cabins are basic, but clean and well cared for. The family running the cabins are very friendly and helpful.

I would recommend getting the stand-alone cabins, rather than adjoining rooms, as there is no insulation between rooms and you can hear everything that happens in the next room.

The staff is very friendly and willing to help. The plus is that it is a hotel that is hidden away so if you want to feel in nature and have privacy it is a good place. The fire pit was a nice area and plenty of wood to keep the fire going all night.

Because the hotel is hidden away there is not much of a view of the valley and the mountains. The room says it may have a view and although some may have a view, others don't have much as they are enclosed by vegetation or the hill or other buildings. So be careful and make sure you request a room with a view if that is what you truly want

Lovely gardens! Worth enjoying the garden. Nice place for children to play. Enjoyed playing table tennis. Great breakfast! Staff was friendly, my husband had good conversation with our host.

Road to this place is very bad for about 1km. Our room door could not lock properly. There was a slight electrical current in our shower fossette that made us cautious when showering (closing the tap gave me and my husband both a little zing!).

The whole staff were amazing! Super helpful with anything we needed. Made us a homemade breakfast every morning and even delivered a pizza right to our room!

The windows don’t have screens which means bugs at night but that is literally the only complaint. They are amazing!
