It was an absolutely marvellous place. A cosy house with fully equipped kitchen - actually the whole house was fully equipped. The quality of the furniture and the equipment was really high. Beautiful and incredible design - this house has the soul. Very pleasant and engaged landlord lady.. A very good bang for the buck for Iceland. The best place we visited during our staying in Iceland. I absolutely recommend this place.

Lovely house with a well appointed kitchen, toiletries and a hot tub. Host met us at the door and explained how everything worked in the house. It was a wonderful stay for 6 adults! Would highly recommend.

What a gem, this home had it all. Spacious and completely updated, fluffy towels, and a robe and slippers for each guest. Outdoor seating area space was lovely, and we enjoyed the jacuzzi. Coffee bar was well stocked, they even had milk in the refrigerator for us. Can’t say enough about the owner who made ever effort to make us feel at home. Great stop on our ring road tour. My husbands only complaint was that we couldn’t stay another night!!!

Absolutely beautiful lodge! Very tastefully decorated. Loved having two bathrooms. Very nice touches like a robe and slippers. Nice washer/dryer for us to use.

Loved our stay here. Plenty of room to spread out; the house is recently upgraded with many nice touches and amenities. The kitchen is amazing so we enjoyed cooking. Best part was the hot tub and we were fortunate to see the Northern Lights. Host was waiting for us to arrive and showed us around. Only one shower (second 1/2 bath) so have to share, but it is very nicely outfitted.

We travelled to Iceland for 13 days with the family - two kids and two adults and went around the ring road. We stayed at this property at the old farm for two nights and overall, it was an absolutely amazing experience. We wish we had booked more nights at the property and just stayed for more days here to see the northern fjords. The property is very well constructed and it is clear to see the passion of the property owner as they have put a lot of detail and thoughtfulness into the design to maximise comfort for families. Everything was super clean, all the equipment was functional as expected, the kitchen was well-stocked, the hot tub was very clean and very easy-to-use (there is just a button inside that you press and it fills up with hot water and then you press it again and it drains automatically), the bathrooms were very clean and they provided a very large number of towels and bathrobes for the entire family to use. The washing machine was also very good, and they provided sufficient soap and detergent that we don't have to go by anything on our own. They even worked to accomodate our request for a check in 2 hours before the official check in time.

The only thing we did not like is that we did not book for more nights and did not stay here longer.

The cabin was amazing. The owner paid attention to every detail in decorating and supplying what supplies we needed for the night. A hot tub soak after a long day hiking was a pleasant way to add to our stay.

The washer/dryer was a nice added feature, but it was confusing to figure out how to use, even with instructions.

Absolutely stunning architecture and perfectly decorated!

We had an amazing stay with our daughters. Loved the space and the hostess was very welcoming. Everything we needed was present and the kitchen was well equipped. We definitely would stay here again when in Akureyri.

slightly deceiving photos, property much smaller than you might think. but it is very nice/quaint and only 15mins from Akureyi. made to feel welcome by the owner. kitchen area lovely and very well equipped.

lounge area very unappealing, dark and one huge u-shaped sofa which was uncomfortable. spent all four evenings sat around the kitchen table.

Loved the building itself. Very cool old barn recently turned into a well thought out home. We loved the homey vibe you get as soon as you walk in. The heated floors, the big sofa, long dining table, kitchen and the jacuzzi all just welcome you instantly and make you feel right at home. We were a group of 4 guys an en epic Iceland guys trip and loved we each got a robe that fit us properly and enjoyed hanging out at the house as we dodged the snow. Hildis, the owner was so awesome and so accommodating. We phoned her the afternoon before we were supposed to check in and asked if we could check in a day early so as not to get snowed in at another location. She quickly made the arrangements and got the place clean and ready for us, and even had it ready about 30 minutes before she had promised and called me to tell me about it. You can tell Hildis and her family take pride in their home and it comes across in how they offer the home to you. Everything about the home and our stay was perfect. They provide you with everything you’ll need. I will definitely stay here longer next with my wife. It’s such a cozy and warm home, and anyone who stays here will love it.

The house is beautifully constructed and very livable. The use of a hot tub and washer/dryer helped us relax. The kitchen is also well stocked.

Brand new home with spacious kitchen and living area and sparkling bathroom. We also loved the hot tub- it was a good touch after a long day of sightseeing. Located about 10 minutes out of town the location was convenient although not walkable to anything.

Courteous service. We arrived very late, the manager waited for us in the cottage/farmhouse and was very welcoming.
