We stumbled onto this resort while doing a search for Florida destinations as we were getting ready to leave our vacation in Pensacola. This place did not disappoint! It was exactly the relaxing, peaceful environment we were hoping for. The 3 bedroom we stayed in was lovely and the setting was magical! We will definitely be back!

Rental unit was very nice. Have already reserved for next year. Did not appreciate being the hastled by some security officer for riding our golf cart after 9pm. He was driving recklessly and scaring people by driving in front of them and telling them to stop and interegating them. This was totally not necessary. My wife and I are in our 60's and don't need that. Property was very well kept up and cleaner than in the past few years. Not happy that we stayed in a 3 bedroom place and I was charged on the ferry for a 3rd vehicle. Our place slept 8 comfortably w 4 beds and 3 baths, this needs to be reevaluated.

It was as good as I had hoped. Friday was great...We had the beach up by Lands End 36 and the pool to ourselves. By Saturday and Sunday the young families arrived and the parents allowed their children to go crazy. So much for your pool rules. Here's a suggestion, if you have no intention of enforcing Palm Island rules which I assume are in place to give all the guests an opportunity to enjoy their stay, remove the signs and save money by releasing the so called Security Patrol people who. Actually do nothing more than ride across the island wearing down the batteries in their carts.

The only unpleasant issue in an otherwise perfect stay concerns my son's later arrival. Peggy and I arrived Wednesday and our two sons and granddaughter were due to arrive Friday late day. We asked what was the procedure with the Ferry since the cottage we were staying in allowed for two cars on the Island. We were told to just let the front desk know when we arrived and their name would be added to the list of guest arrivals for Friday. When we checked in, Peggy told Faith who then wrote the name down on a piece of paper to add to the Friday guest list. Faith did not follow thru and as a result the name was not on the guest list for the Ferry men. The situation became tense when the Ferry man was not going to let my son pull his car off the Ferry until he resolved this somehow or paid like $65 or so. Faith needs to follow thru with important situations like we had.

A Tropical Depression/Hurricane could not ruin our final stay of the year 9-1-16 to 9-6-16. All of the Palm Island staff were fantastic and upbeat about the situation during the first 48 hours of our stay. Even offering credit for the stay towards a later trip had we decided to leave due to the weather. We stayed and were rewarded with the final 3 days of the best weather of the year. During the entire stay even through the wind and rain of the first 48 hours, all of the people who work to make Palm Island a 5 star vacation resort were right there doing it all as if it was just another day in paradise.

We stayed in a Lands End unit; it was clean, well decorated, and EVERYONE from the check-in crew to bell crew to Coconuts staff to Rum Bay waiters to ferry boat officials was friendly, positive, safe, and attentive to us as guests. We have come to Palm Island Resort for about 30 straight years and have found no place better in the whole state of Florida. Kudos!

Our son chose Palm Island as a wedding venue and we couldn't have been more pleased. Our accommodations were clean and well-maintained. We were welcomed to the resort and were provided good service. The 3-bedroom villa we reserved was wonderful and completely furnished. Our only "glitch" was that the front door lock was really hard to work, but a bit of W-D 40 or graphite would take care of that. Everything was wonderful! Thank you.

The Villa, grounds, beaches, pool and all the staff were great. Especially Dan & Melissa. The only disappointment was RumBay Restaurant. It was filthy, there was food and used napkins on the tables and floor. All of our food was horrible. It was getting bad last two years now it has bottomed out. It definitely needs to be updated and cleaned. The menu and food need a complete overhaul. I was hoping not to have to cook but we could not go there again. The reviews would be all 5 star, but for the restaurant.

We just keep coming back... this unit is beautiful, quiet, and near the beach path. The resort is one of my favorite spots -- have stayed there 4 times so far! The front desk staff is always super, especially Marty. I do wish it was easier to recycle and to include glass. Now if only the gift shop would open at 9 so I can buy a house-sitter gift on the way home.
