Entire complex is older but it has nice pool and hot tub, and private access to the beach. Beach is great. Apartment could use some update. Master room drapes have holes, bathrooms in the 2nd bedroom has rust and mold. Kitchen didn’t have dish soap or extra garbage bags. Little thing could make the experience better. Apartment has a wonderful view on the ocean.

This is our annual fourth of July family reunion. We rent three condos. In July of 2016 we rented unit 2304 paying 1/2 rental on 7/20/16 and the other half - on 2/13/17. When we arrived we were told we were in 2402 that 2304 was not available. We specifically rented 2304 so that we would overlook pool and grassy area to watch our grandchildren. The rental office employees were dismissive and defensive and never even apologized to us for this inconvenience telling us that 2402 was a gold unit so is 2304 and that it was an ocean view which we did not want. They acted as if they were doing us a favor by letting us rent a condo. In the 30 plus years we have been coming to Colony Reef Club we have never had one problem with management . We were treated by the staff and manager with total disrespect and in my opinion they need to be better trained in customer service. In light of all the problems we encountered this year we are not sure we will return next year for our annual vacation where we rent three condos. we were very unsatisfied with management and condition of property and as stated above did not think the staff was professional at all.

When we first arrived, I think due to COVID-19 it had been unoccupied for a long time, and it had a weird smell of mildew (master bathroom) and an odd perfume. I let it air out and the perfume smell improved. Loved eating meals on the porch. TVs were new and provided good evening entertainment. Beds very comfortable. All appliances worked well, and a/c. Really a delightful stay. The glass door from the master bedroom to the porch is very hard to get to move, but does eventually. Electric grill on the porch was a plus.

She has an 18 month old who loves the water so we were looking for a place that offered both the ocean and a pool. This condo met our criteria and was an excellent place for us to stay. Although there is some updating that could be done, this place had all our needs, beds comfortable, kitchen to make most of our meals, a place to eat on the deck overlooking the ocean, and amenities. We would definitely stay here again and now knowing what it was equipped with, have less to pack. Great stay.

Reviewer Comments: Overall, the resort is clean, has beautiful grounds and maintenance, and well informed, and intended staff.I would not rate this as a "GOLD" condominium however based on past vacations, and the fact that we own rentable properties in resort areas in different parts of the country and can compare properties.I would call the unit somewhat "tired." It needs upgrading and updating. I left the staff a list of what I hope is considered constructive criticism, and not just "bitching." Natalie Dehr and others seemed very receptive to discussing what my wife and I found to be issues. None of these were "major" but taken in total, they made for a less than impressive experience. Windows were dirty, the grill was dirty and had bugs in it, the track lighting in the kitchen was damaged, and in fact a hazard with a light having from the track, lighting in general was marginal, with the bunk room literally dark, and other rooms needing more "wattage." The sink and fixture in the master bath is badly scaled and very difficult to turn on and off. Just a few things that if attended to would make the unit much more comfortable and attractive. I can't emphasize enough the issue with the windows. What the CRC has a MAJOR selling point is the view. That is one reason we paid for a 4th (top) floor ocean side unit, labeled "gold." When there is sand and sea spray covering a dingy picture window and master suite sliding door, it is frustrating. I cleaned them. I also left information about the linens, which did not fit the king bed, and the fact that pillows were old, soft, and few--we took ones from the "bunk room" to also use, as we had no one in that room. Just a few things, that wouldn't cost a lot to change, would make this a "GOLD" stay, but it simply ISN'T! Lastly, unless there was something on the TV that I couldn't access, High Definition television is a standard. (We were there for the NCAA BB tournament and the Master's Golf tournamen

Loved the location. Balcony great size. Was comfortable and had all amenities we needed. Couple things needed fixed…sliding door screens wouldn’t stay in their tracks which was a pain and shower light in master bedroom was burned out. Understand owner was due in when we left to take care of some of these issues. Wasn’t as clean as expected. Little kid sticky on front of dishwasher snd on coffee table. Got supplies and cleaned these areas ourselves. Also front windows didn’t have screens to leave them open to hear ocean. Weather was cooler and we wanted the fresh air and ocean sound without bugs or flies coming in unit. Otherwise had a great stay and would return. Hopefully those issues were taken care of by the owner the following week.

Elevator broken, walked up stairs with all luggage ! No water pressure in master bathroom sink !

Initial condo had severe noise problem. Front office promptly relocated us - and the subsequent condo was actually in better shape than the first. Kiddie pool was excellent for the little ones.

The unit appeared to be simply wiped down as opposed to cleaned. There were ants walking along the kitchen counter edges, dirty coffee pot, hair in the bathroom, etc. They unit also needed lots of updates. The property manager refunded my money snd was very apologetic.
