The place was perfect. Great location and wonderful host!

We had a great time over the MLK Weekend for skiing at nearby Elk Mountain. It is a small cozy cabin on the lake. Best if you have an all-wheel or 4-wheel vehicle to get to the cabin from the access road.

Everything was beautiful and the view lovely. Norbert was friendly and very helpful all the time. My kids enjoyed it all

House was smaller than we expected, but had everything you would need. Loved the lake and the privacy. Enjoyed kayaking and floating on our rafts. Always a breeze from the lake. Great fire pit. Nice place to relax, laugh with friends and read a book.

This cottage was everything I wanted it to be. The lot is large and private with a beautiful view of the lake and your own private dock. The kayaks and floats were an extra added perk! Would love to come back again.

Nice location within a few hours from home. Amenities are plentiful. Norbert checked in our 1st day to make sure everything was ok. We kayaked every day and pretty much had the lake to ourselves.

We love this hidden gem. 2nd year in a row we've been and we'll be back. Great place for a family trip - for us that's 2 adults, 2 kids (3 & 6), and 2 grandparents. Plenty of space, comfy amenities, big kitchen, and wood burning stove for cool evenings is all great. The property is the true gem though - spacious patio w/ rocking chairs, huge yard, firepit area w/ Adirondack chairs, big dock w/ picnic table that's great for fishing, and all the kayaks and canoes you need to enjoy the lake.

This is a beautiful location looking straight out to the lake. It was convenient to Elk Mountain for skiing. The owner was very quick to make sure the driveway was plowed and cinders put down when it snowed. He stayed in touch to make sure everything was ok. The driveway is steep for the wintertime so we were glad we rented an SUV! The top bunk bed is very high so we had to move the mattress to the floor since the 6yr old was scared to be that high and it’s too close to the ceiling for the 10 yr old. But they loved the bright little cozy room. The living & dining area is dark but we moved lamps in from the bedrooms. The tub does not have a drain that closes for baths if you are a bath lover. The kitchen is well stocked! We used the George Forman grill a lot! Buy groceries before arriving! There isn’t much available close by and especially after 6pm We would love to return here again!

So close to Elk mountain! Loved the fireplace with a decent amount of fire wood provided for us. Our dogs loved exploring the area around the cabin. Kitchen has everything you can imagine you would need to cook a meal.

Stayed in November, so could not take advantage of lake. Very nice living/dining space and perfectly functioning fireplace insert. So-called General Store (Cables) nearby is in fact an excellent Deli. A rail-trail at Cables offers a great scenic walking or biking trail. Only negative features were poor lighting in the living area (which could easily be improved with strip lights on existing beams) and the fact that the only soap provided was hand soap..

We were very impressed with our stay here in Uniondale. The cottage was very quiet, which is exactly what we were looking for. The condition, the cleanliness, everything about this place would be well worth looking into if you are looking to just get away. The host we dealt with did much more than we could have expected to make our stay as pleasant as it possibly could be. I could not sat Thank You enough times to truly show how much we appreciated our stay here, and the service we received. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone, and I know we will be coming back soon. Thank You

Norbert is a fantastic host. The cottage is clean and there’s everything there that you might need. As far as our stay goes, it was the best vacation we’ve ever had as a family. We are an “outdoors” family. We love the water, woods and country. The lake is fantastic for swimming, kayaking, and canoeing. We did it all and we loved it. We also love to fish and the fishing is FANTASTIC for both experienced anglers and novices. The kids caught fish (bluegills, perch, and bass) right from the dock all day long. We also headed out at night and bottom fished for catfish and caught more than I could count. At sunrise and sunset I would head out in my kayak and absolutely kill the largemouth and smallmouth bass. Norbert sent us a survey of the lake before we arrived and I managed to catch every fish listed on the survey including one fish I’ve never caught before, a rock bass. For fishing supplies, head 5 miles down the road to Little John’s Bait Barn. It’s a great place and John is extremely helpful. As for the area, it’s breathtaking. I must have said “look at the view” over 100 time’s over a week. If you head to Wal Mart (about 40 minutes away), the ride will blow you away. The Mountain View’s, fames, barns, cattle, etc. are amazing. There’s also Stillwater lake and Belmont lake which are both beautiful. Cables store was fantastic and the food is great. Arlos country store was also great but the food is better at Cables and Cables is closer. Norbert has 3 kayaks (one tandem) and a canoe. We didn’t use them because we brought our own but they are good boats and are easy to use. Life jackets and some floats are also located at the property. I’ve been on quite a few vacations and stayed at a number of VRBO’s. This is the only one where I truly felt I could stay there forever.

Wonderful very clean, private and relaxing .We truly enjoyed everything kayaking relaxing in the water on tubes. Camp fire cooked all our meals.😊

The lakefront cottage is an ideal setting! Access to kayaks and canoes and floating in the lake for hours on end was relaxing and peaceful. Communication with the host was extraordinary- he went out of his way to address any concerns and was very prompt in his responses. Hiking, biking and relaxing on the lake was fantastic. We cooked all but one night as the cottage is fairly remote but the BBQ and picnic table on the deck were delightful. Thanks for a lovely stay!

This lakefront cottage was exactly what we have been looking for!!The cottage was so cozy and stocked with everything we needed. We cooked all of our meals and had no reason or interest to go anywhere else. The view is spectacular! We were very disappointed to leave but looking forward to returning- just won’t be soon enough! Norbert was sensational he went above and beyond to make sure the property was enjoyed by all!

Our stay at Clark Cottage was a wonderful experience. The cottage was well appointed and exceptionally clean. We enjoyed paddling and swimming in the lake, and riding our bikes on the nearby rail trail by day; by evening we were ready for stargazing by the fire pit—on clear nights the stars were amazing! Relaxing, reading, and dining on the front porch was the best though! We will be back!!

We enjoyed a very relaxing long weekend at this cute little cottage on Lewis Lake. It was clean and well maintained. We loved kayaking and canoeing around the lake. Has a nice big table for game playing and a nice porch. Wished we knew to bring our own food - there are extremely limited dining choices. Kitchen was very well appointed, so next we’ll use it!

Our family of 6 had a wonderful 4 days by the lake. The place is beautiful, very well stocked and incredibly comfortable. Our family of 2 parents, a 5 year old, a 2 year old, and 2 grandparents (one w/ limited mobility) couldn't have asked for a better place to escape over a year of the pandemic. The huge yard was great for the kids, as was the dock for fishing. The fire pit was used daily, as was the wood-burning stove/fireplace inside. The front porch is spacious and the grill worked great. Inside is roomy and comfortable with a big, open great room and kitchen. The small bunk bed room was perfect for the kids and the other 2 bedrooms had enough space for us and very comfortable beds. Bathroom is also good, although water pressure in the shower isn't the strongest. Everything we needed for fires and recreation were in the shed. Norbert was responsive and accommodating and made sure we had anything we needed. Can't say enough about the house, yard, host, and location. We can't wait to come back.

Clark Cottage is just like in the pictures. Great location right on the lake. My family enjoyed hiking and using the kayaks and canoe. Very clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend this cottage.

Cabin was as advertised! Was great in the winter...must be awesome when the lake isn't frozen. The owner was fantastic in helping us "southerners" deal with the snow!

Very clean, well maintained cottage in great location for Elk ski trips. We are repeat visitors to this property. Am reluctant to praise it so much in case it gets booked out and we cannot book again. Wood fire place is charming and owner maintains a stack of logs. Very responsive re. ploughing driveway for snow.

Very nice house, gorgeous property on the lake, super clean, tasteful and functional, very close to Elk Mtn. Very responsive owner. Crazy blizzard made the somewhat steep driveway a bit perilous, but normally probably OK. Owner was very quick to provide credit when we had to find an alternative for our last day. In fairness worst storm in recent memory so... maybe don't travel in a blizzard haha!
