We were very pleased with the property. We had more than enough room. Hopefully to stay here again.

Good location

It was a very nice place to stay while in town for a wedding. Plenty of space and a cute place. A lot of yard area as well with a beautiful large tree on the corner. Walking distance to the beach and downtown was great!

We take a girls trip every year and always at a different location. We chose this place for the location and within walking distance of so much. Although we had a great stay and There is a lot of charm to this house, there are several issues that need tending to. For starts we could barely open the from screen door as it scrapes along the walkway and the screen is broken and metal pieces sticking out. Open the front door and it’s very musty smelling. Played a big part in all of our allergies. There is mold on the ceilings in the bathroom. Huge lack of towels. There were 6 bath towels, 3 hand towels and 1 kitchen towel. 1 bath towel per person is not enough especially if you say this accommodates up to 10 people. We had to bring our own washcloths. There are excess bees all over, one of our ladies was stung twice in the middle of the night. Glad she Carrie’s her epi pen as she is allergic. We killed a total of 7 bees inside the house. The AC units were a plus and kept the house quite cool. We tried to use the TV but simply couldn’t figure it out, we just wanted to watch the lions but couldn’t even get local channels. There is not instruction manual at all of the house. We just tried to figure out things along the way. There is a grill but we could not use it as it was so dirty. There are also 2 back doors leading to the backyard but we could not use them as they were so overgrown with trees and weeds. Not much curb appeal. Lastly, the bedding was nice but the beds were Hard.

My family had a pleasant stay at this property. The location can’t be beat with a 3 min walk to beach and downtown. The house is as described, small and cozy but with 3 bathrooms to accommodate larger groups. We had friends in the area so didn’t spend too much time in the house. Would consider renting again.

Nice house with plenty of space for 3 adults and 2 kids. Easy walk to the beach, and easy drive to traverse city and our day trip to sleeping bear dunes. The town of elk rapids, also walking distance, was wonderful as well. We'd be glad to stay and visit again.

Great place to stay for our High School fishing team. Cozy and comfortable when we were there (mostly at night). Exactly as advertised and will stay again next year if available. Hosts we’re accessible to answer questions.

Clean, tidy, efficient, a block from the beach and park, and a couple blocks from beautiful downtown Elk Rapids! Walk 1 minute to the best sunsets! Simple fun.

This vacation home was the perfect getaway for our girls weekend. Slept us all perfectly, thank you so much for everything!

We came up for a relaxing girls weekend and that's exactly what we got! The house was amazing, clean, plenty of room, nice beds and a couch for relaxing with Netflix! We took many walks around town..it's beautiful! The view from the house is great, seeing lake Michigan every day is wonderful. We took a trip into Traverse City, had a big snowstorm but it was still beautiful. We checked out Pearl's in Elk Rapids..highly recommend!! We will be back !

Recently we stayed for a week at this property in downtown Elk Rapids. The home was very well maintained. Very clean and comfortable. There wasn't anything that we needed that it did not provide. The hosts were very prompt in communication and very accommodating. We would love to return to this home in the summer to enjoy all that Elk Rapids has to offer!

The house worked well for us. Not super toddler friendly (having a gate would be nice) but other than that it worked great.

Cute home just what we needed for our time spent in MI. What a lovely town very assessable to a number of different attractions. Would recommend a waffle iron, full length mirror, zip loc bags in a variety of sizes and more hand towels. Overall it fit our needs for a great trip to MI. We fell in love with MI.

Elk Rapids is a cute small town with beautiful views. The location of this property was perfect. Even my toddler could handle walking to all the sites from here. The house itself is old so it had the typical old smell to it (a little rough on our allergies - dust mold mildew) but it was very apparent that the owners took pride in making it look very cozy, updated and clean on the inside. The only thing that we did notice is the floors are very slippery and don't feel super sturdy so our toddler did fall a few times but she was ok. The ceilings upstairs are very short on the sides so you need to be mindful when moving around the rooms because its super easy to smack your head on the ceiling. My two older kids and myself all hit our heads a fair amount of times and we are short. My husband is 6 1/2 ft tall so he didnt even attempt to go upstairs. The view of the bay from the window in the living room is blocked by trees but maybe in the early spring or late fall you could see it when the leaves are not on the trees. This was not a major problem but noting for anyone expecting differently. The house itself had everything we could need (except a pizza cutter but we can obviously make due without that). They was plenty of beds and sleeping spaces. The mattresses were fairly hard but clean. Each room had a window air conditioner and they seemed to keep the house cool. Outside each window there were lots of cobwebs and some creepy looking spiders but we saw minimal spiders inside. The house was very clean. The showers had great water pressure. The yard has a very cool willow tree that the kids loved hiding under. There were outdoor games and lots of outdoor seating but we didn't have a chance to try any of it out. The owners were good at responding to issues right away and providing clear instructions on what needed to happen at check out. Also, in response to other reviews we saw... there is a vacuum cleaner and a very small broom at the house. There were bleach stains on the towels but who cares they were clean. There are crazy spiders but mostly outside so unless you are super afraid of spiders it is typical for an older house surrounded by plants and trees. All in all, we enjoyed our vacation. I would recommend this house for anyone that doesn't have allergies. That was the hardest part for us.

This house is flat out unsafe, there are multiple dangers- on the upstairs landing the wood is split & falling apart, with long slivers sticking out , nails & screws protruding from entry & back stairs , mold & mildew in 2 of the bathrooms , dozens of spiderwebs with large spiders in kitchen, bathrooms, by the doors, on the front porch &!bedroom windows, The bathrooms at the park are better maintained. I notified the owners the first afternoon about the spiders & cobwebs everywhere as well as the stained towels, they responded promptly by text & sent a cleaning person to bring by additional towels & to clean the cobwebs & spiders out but the only thing she did was apply clear tape around the window ac , none of the cobwebs or spiders were removed. Our family members were in rentals down the street & had no issues with cobwebs or moldy bathrooms. We found more problems almost every day. Our 2 year old grandson had his foot sliced open by a nail protruding from the step. My son almost fell down the full flight of stairs when the wood at the top of the landing split & gave way. There appears to be no maintenance of the property. The carbon monoxide detector was in 3 pieces sitting on the counter. The towels are thin & practically threadbare, the owner replied “new ones had been ordered” but we never saw them after being there a week. Really?? Amazon delivers in a day & Meijers is just a short drive away, so there’s no excuse. A repair service or maintenance man should have been there before the place was listed for rent, there’s no oversight of the property. It ruined our vacation having to be constantly vigilant about these issues.

The house is in a great location, 5 minutes to downtown and maybe 3 minutes to the beach. Overall, the house was good and we had a great time. Our main issues were none of the windows opened so we could not enjoy the nice lake breeze and there were lots of spiders and spider webs so the house didn't seem like it was 100% cleaned.

Our family had a blast. PERFECT location just a block to beach. Air Con was a lifesaver with 90 plus temps. Fire pit was great, we used it every day. Grilled our dinner and chilled at the beach with periodic walks to town for shopping and food. Elk Rapids is an all American family dream.

We enjoyed our stay. Plenty of space for the 9 of us. We didn't spend much time in the home since we were only there for a weekend.

We had plenty of room. For eating in the kitchen or relaxing in the living room. Upstairs bedrooms are very spacious. Great location for everything we had planned in the area.

Wonderful place to stay and very comfortable. Within walking distance of restaurants and shopping and site seeing. We look forward to coming back.

This house was the perfect size for my family (6 adults and 2 kids) plus 2.5 bathrooms! The house is a 2min walk to the beach and a 7min walk downtown. Great location for a summer visit.

It was a very nice place to stay, we were there In December of 2021. We rented home to celebrate my brothers 70th birthday unfortunately there was a storm there a day or two before we arrived and the cable and internet were out. The owners worked well with us to try and get it working but no success. There possibly was a line down and we decided not to stay another night because it probably would not get fixed until we left.

The hone is super cute, clean and in a perfect location. Shops and restaurants just up the road!

The property was amazing, the set up the rooms EVERYTHING! We didn't need to bring anything and the owners checked in often. Will be going back!

House was as expected. Clean, spacious. Close to town. Very much enjoyed our stay!

We absolutely loved our stay. Corner property with water views--safe playground / pickleball courts / Beach area/basketball/downtown awesomeness all within a very short walk. We rented e-bikes and rode All through the neighborhoods. Hubbed out of this area to enjoy Mackinac island, Sault ste Marie, traverse City and all the in betweens. Felt like staying in families' house with all the little things they left to make the stay great. Ate outside underneath the red umbrella and sat on the front porch to enjoy early morning readings. We travel a lot and agreed it was one of our favorite locations to enjoy friends and family!

Nice place close to town in a quiet neighborhood. Beds were comfortable. House is updated and clean.
