Great location and friendly staff with a great cooked to order breakfast.
No air conditioning, a fan was in the room though to help!

Hotel still being refurbished, rooms recently finished to good standard.
More warning in advance about current state would be good - arrival to a street front full of scaffold, decorators in the lobby and poor state of stairwell wasn't great, however rooms were really good.

The Location was ideal.
The Staff were friendly and helpful.
It was a little dated, the WIFI did not work.
The carpets throughout looked like they had seen better days and had a number of stains and worn patches.

Fantastic team! Had to change rooms due to a bathroom tap issue, this was no problem. Breakfast was great, really lovely ladies.

Very poorly maintained, the curtains in the rooms and breakfast hall were torn, windows and carpets in the hallways hadn’t been cleaned for years.

very dated in need of some tlc, paint on walls peeling room 108 , plastic rim on bottom of shower door filthy, also some of the grouting at the back of t he bath was black ,reception gave me a key for another room 110 and the shower trim was the same, would not use this hotel again

our radiator was broke so was unbelievably hot in the room so couldn’t sleep the best

The staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Bed was comfortable.
Bathroom spacious with large bath and shower.
Breakfast of full English and continental was good value for money and was very tasty.
4th Floor where our room was, was like a sauna, even with the windows open and heating off.
Housekeeping was non existent, we had to ask for them to come in on the 3rd day (even premier inn come in every day without question) and even then we didnt receive any condiments, so we went and bought our own teabags and toilet roll, the staff response was "they're very busy" im sorry but that's not our problem as a paying customer.
Also paid extra for the kitchenette option, all that ended up being was a sink and a cupboard, what's the point? At least a small mini fridge would've been nice so we could store some food bare in mind we stayed for 4 nights.

Note parking is first come first served with only a few spaces, so if full you’re parking across road in a pay parking - elevators not working - room was extremely hot, even with heaters turned off and we couldn’t open window as birds would arrive on window ledge and would fly into room - bed uncomfortable and pillows really soft with no additional pillows available - shower drain didn’t drain and insects were coming out - you have to order breakfast the night before but are not told that when you check in :(
