Can accommodate a large group for a wedding. Extra garage studio was a bonus. House had everything you need for a dinner party./ Outdoor couches/ dining table/ umbrellas and portable firepit were amazing! Front porch was nice for some extra space . And amazing sunsets! 🌅 Enjoyed our wedding and stay immensely ! Thank you Jill and Caren! We”ll be back!:)

Our 3-generation family thoroughly enjoyed our 4-night stay at this lovey property, and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the area! We were in York for our son's wedding, and thought that this property with it's patio and beautiful, separate "recreation" room would be a perfect place for the groomsmen to gather and get ready for the wedding. Not only was it accommodating for them, it was such a nice place to have as a backdrop for the videographer to capture the occassion. Throughout our stay, we loved to gather in the spacious dining room and the front porch as a family, and the 2 little ones (and their parents) were delighted at the stash of playthings for the children. Everything about this property was high quality - from top to bottom. Decor, appliances, linens, and super comfy beds! Communication with the owners was always prompt and they couldn't have been nicer. Access the 2-car garage was another bonus, as it gave us a place to put some of the many wedding items. Something I didn't necessarily plan for :-) This property truly felt and looked like a beautiful home. We only regret that we couldn't have stayed longer.

We had a week long family gathering at this cozy ME home. There was plenty of space for our family of 11 and two dogs. The house was clean, well decorated and the hosts were quick to respond to questions. They even had lobster pot and utensils allowing for a fun family meal with local lobsters. House is within easy walking distance of York sites and stores. The only down side was that there is no central air conditioning and we were there during unseasonably warm spell in Maine! The top floor does have window AC units which worked well and the rest of the house has ceiling fans which helped tremendously. Highly recommend this home to others.

What a wonderful property for our multi-generational vacation. Enjoyed being near “town” and the wiggly bridge. The house accommodated everyone’s interests from age 4 to 69. Appreciated the amount of parking space and the feeling of privacy with trees and planting between the houses. Even had a deer visit us on the patio one night! The homeowner was great on the communication, too.

A true home away from home with tons of character and enough space for a very large group. This would be a #1 choice for us when we return to York and we sincerely appreciate the communication with the owners to help us with all needs. We had a wonderful stay and hope to stay again in the future!

The house was clean and had plenty of room for our family of 10. The wide front porch was great for little ones to play blocks (supplied by owner) or for adults to get away and/or read, Dining room table could handle our large group easily. Rec room - really a detached bedroom with large-screen tv — behind house was a great outlet for the 11- and 13-year-old and for anyone who wanted a little quiet. Great walking trails just a few minutes from house. Outdoor patio was spectacular. We had cool weather so fans in second floor were adequate, but hot weather could be an issue. No bathrooms on third floor so a lot of sharing of bathrooms, but no problem for our family. No railing on stairs to third floor so that could be an issue for anyone older. Overall, a great house with plenty of room in a very good location — especially for walkers.

The house was impeccably clean and well-stocked! We loved hanging out in the sunroom in front, and were able to walk to get food and go to the beach. The host was extremely easy to communicate with. We had a fantastic time.

We are 5 high school girlfriends who now live in 5 states. We have a difficult time getting all of us together but finally pulled it off to celebrate a milestone birthday (no need to mention our age!). We had so many laughs. The best thing about the accommodations was we each had our own bedroom. The house is really nicely decorated spacious, and clean. The front enclosed porch is great for cocktails while enjoying a sunset. We loved the historic touches with the modern furnishings. The kitchen has everything you need and the owner’s instructions on access and other information in the house book were very helpful. We loved the walk to the waterfront, the Wiggly (Wobbly) bridge, hiking, and the cliff walk. We went to Ogunquit one day and enjoyed walking a lot, including the Marginal Walk. York Beach and Nubble Lighthouse are a must do. All in all we had a fabulous time and 8 Lilac Lane was perfect for us.

Stayed here with 5 other ladies. We loved the house and especially enjoyed being able to walk out the front door and go on a nice walk to wobbly bridge and/or downtown York. Checkin was a little confusing as the WiFi code that is listed on the VRBo instructions was not correct. The correct WiFi password and account is listed in the big notebook on the kitchen table. Be prepared to experience a house that is quite tilted on the floors and window sills. All in all we had a great time!

The house was perfect for our group of 8 friends. Clean & comfortable. Walking distance to Fisherman's Walk, beach, Cliff walk, and village of York. We loved the home including the nice enclosed porch at the end of each day to gather with friends. So glad we came!!

Our family enjoyed Christmas and New Year's Eve in this comfortable and convenient home. The location afforded views of the York River and lovely walks out the front door to the river and nearby York Harbor. Carin was an attentive host, and we left our stay feeling grateful for having found the perfect place for a long hoped-for family reunion.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It had everything we needed for a family Thanksgiving holiday. Our Grandson loved all of the toys and had a great time on the porch, which he called the playroom. Easy walk to the Wobbly Bridge and York Harbor beach.

Nice place for a large family. Thought there was a master bedroom on the main floor, but it was a beautiful master room on the second floor. Only problem was the challenging stairwell. The light was out on the third floor stairway which made it a bit scary for someone needing to get up in the middle of the night to go down a level to the bathroom. We loved the space out on the front porch, living room and dinning room. Great for family gathering. We did make use of the bonus room in the back for one couple to sleep in lieu of the third floor bedroom. I worked out nicely also having a restroom. Just want owner to know that we found the back space unlocked and could not get the lock to work. Would also want to send a reminder to update the welcome book with the current Wi-Fi info for future renters. Sorry we had to bother them for it. All in all we enjoyed the property and location. We would definately consider this place again!

We were in town for a family wedding. The house is spacious with lots of twin beds which worked well for us because we had several cousins with us. Easy to walk to town and to the wedding we attended. The hosts were good about checking in. The house was well appointed. We would stay here again

We were in York for a family and basically just used the house to sleep and naps for the babies. Very comfortable and it was perfect for our needs. Location would be wonderful for a summer vacation!

Plenty of room for guests! We stayed here for a wedding at York Harbor Inn and it was great! Plenty of parking and easy walk from the harbor. Would definitely stay here again!

Owner was very quick to respond and accommodating. There was plenty of parking for the friends and family that were coming and going - some for day trips some overnight. The walk to the beach was a lovely 15 minute or so walk. But if you're taking a lot of stuff to the beach you'd probably want to drive. You can unload at the beach and then park on the main road and walk back to the beach. If you want to go to Long Sands or Short Sands you'd have to drive. The small beach closest to the house was so nice and absolutely beautiful - much nicer than the others. This house was nice overall but a couple of closet doors were off their runners (bi-fold doors) and the couches on the sun porch were very worn and should be replaced. The out building was not finished so that was a disappointment. But being a homeowner I understand how difficult it is dealing with contractors - especially right now. It'll be a nice separate space when it's finished. I did have to vacuum the furniture and floors as my sisters were having allergic reactions to the dog hair from previous renters. Perhaps the cleaning crew doesn't normally vacuum the furniture. The rooms were all very nice and the house was perfect for our large group. I would stay there again for sure! We had such a great time - perfect location away from the crowds at the bigger beaches.

Gorgeous home with a perfect location, close to shops and beaches. 20 minute ride to Ogunquit night lift. Sleeps plenty with wonderful fans / ACs to accommodate the hot summer nights. FYI, trouble accessing any cell service in this home but wifi worked well.

There's a fire pit and the seating outside is fantastic. You can walk to the Wiggly Bridge and the river and pond-it's about a minute up the street. And it's an easy walk to the Bagel Basket and the cute downtown. Everyone in the group had the best time. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it. Thank you so much!!

Overall a beautiful home. The home is spacious enough for the large family. More than enough beds to choose from. The front porch is enclosed so its the perfect place to sit and spend with family. With in walking distance to the Wiggly Bridge and the Fisherman's walk.
