Noortje was a lovely host and gave great advice about hikes in the area. Her breakfasts made with local ingredients were delicious and plentiful. The garden setting with the view of Canigou was just perfect.

Our stay was amazing. The view from the hotel is beautiful and the service is also perfect. Noortje was an amazing host. We asked her for a vegan option for the breakfast and she surprised us with a whole delicious vegan breakfast with homemade soy iogurt. We used the shared kictchen and it's perfect. We highly recommend staying in this hotel.

Both the food and ambience of the breakfast setting were excellent with huge care in both cooking and hospitality. Home made cheeses and confiture, a beautiful garden and all in the shadow of the Pyrenees.
Nothing.

Beautiful place, clean, comfortable and well organised. Fantastic breakfasts and friendly welcome. Good facilities to keep and prepare your own evening meal.
Vernet les Bains has seen better days. It wants the tourism but the cafes and restaurants are very limited in what they offer.

Breakfast home made, top quality
Good People and good beer
Very convenient location for Canigou hikers

Great hostess, comfortable accommodations with a lot of thought put into the little details. You can use the kitchen to cook your meals if you like, and if you clean up after yourself! Restaurant food gets tiresome!
It's not exactly far to downtown Vernet, but it isn't exactly close either. Maybe have an old bike around for guests to borrow or rent? Just for in town. It's not a big deal tbh.. More like a thought for improvement

We had a really good time: the location is great - many hiking trails start almost right from the front door. The breakfast was tasty, especially the homemade jams. Our host Noortje was nice and helpful.
The rooms are not exactly soundproof: we could hear our neighbors from the nearest room slamming doors every morning. And unfortunately, they woke up earlier than we intended to wake up ourselves...

The owner, Noortje, is a lovely lady. We were the only guests at the time so had the use of the shared kitchen facilities to ourselves. The eggs for breakfast were from the owners' own chickens. There is a coffee machine providing unlimited excellent freshly ground coffee. The location of the B&B is handy for visiting the charming walled town of Villefranche-de-Conflent and for the Little Yellow Train station. It has a lovely view of Mount Canigou.
This would be a great place to stay if you are fit and into walking and hiking (which we are not) and enjoy the company of other guests. Unfortunately we were misled by the description of the facilities given in the Booking.com listing, and were expecting several facilities including restaurants on site (rather than just around the location of the B&B). We have some mobility issues and also do not like driving in the dark, so were dismayed to be told on arrival that the nearest place to get something to eat in the evening was a 15 minute walk away. Fortunately we were able to rush out to a supermarket that was handily not too far away and made it back before it was completely dark, and heated up a pizza in the shared kitchen/dining area. If there were other guests staying, we would have hated having to work around using the kitchen facilities with others. The kitchen has no microwave so that limited the choice of things we could cook easily. We thought the breakfast hours were rather rigid - it had to be finished by 0930 which was too early for us as were trying to have a relaxing holiday - but Noortje did kindly leave us some breakfast items to eat when we were ready.

Very helpful hosts who spoke perfect English, helping us with questions before climbing Canigou. Great views and amenities, ideal place to relax in comfort after some serious walking!
Towels smelled a bit damp

Tons of information about walks. Lovely helpful staff. Great breakfasts.
Comfortable but modern property lacks a bit of character and a bit outside the pretty old town.

This B&B is a gem. It’s located where the National Route 116 begins to climb into the Pyrenees from the coastal plain. Under the watchful eye of the Canigou mountain, a sacred peak to Catalans north and south of the French-Spanish border, you are close to magnificent historic and natural sites. If COVID19 were not there it would also be close to the ski slopes. The rooms are furnished in rustic style with comfortable beds and good lighting, which is often missing in lodgings these days. Breakfast was generous, everything home made, served with care and attention. You can store your own food and drink in reserved baskets for each room in the fridge. All day access to tea and coffee is a plus. Noortdje and her partner were welcoming and helpful. We had dinner on site which was more than copious and delicious. Everything was home made. When my wife requested a small cake to celebrate our anniversary, Noortdje outdid herself and baked one herself- and it was amazingly good. Our stay was delightful and we recommend this place highly.
The first night the room was very cold. By the next day, though, it got comfortable. There wasn’t quite enough hot water for two people to shower. Everything else was perfect.

Very nice bed and breakfast, beautiful location, great facilities and a lovely host.
For hikers not ideal breakfast time, as it starts at 8am.

The location was excellent and the view of the Old town and church were outstanding, particularly at night as the church was spotlighted. The room was spacious and tastefully decorated. The owner was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was very good with delicious home made preserves The gardens were well maintained and guests were welcome to relax in them. I would highly recommend this property.
There was nothing to dislike.
