The location was very good. Above the Oasis tavern with tables on the beach. Close to Skala Beach Bar with sunbeds and good service for drinks and snacks. Other taverns were also close by with good food and good service. Opposite the supermarket. The apartment was clean. The fridge was well filled. Enough space inside and outside on the veranda overlooking the beach. We had a taxi from Thessaloniki airport and since everything in Gerakini was walkable this came out cheaper then renting a car.

Number one, the host, Maria, goes above and beyond to make sure you are well settled, comfortable and ready to enjoy the stay from day one. She left plenty of treats waiting as we arrived and key takeover was seamless and fast. The apartment itself is very cozy and spotless in terms of cleanliness. Everything is recently renovated, huge sliding doors in the living room providing great light and sea view. There is a tavern below you, but during our 2-week stay, we did not find any noise that would distract us from having a relaxing time. Great addition is the washing machine on the terrace, hidden away, not to make any noise. We will be looking to come back, that's for sure.

Nothing we didn't like. One thing that would perhaps make sense, would be dishwasher, but we easily lived without it. So, again, nothing we didn't like, everything was better than we could have imagined.

The apartament is very nice (just like in the pictures), clean, modern, with everything you need in it (washing machine, hair drier, ironing board, slippers, tooth brush, dishes, pans, you name it 😃). It also has a very nice sea view that you can enjoy every morning 🤩 There is a supermarket right in front of the entrance in the building where you can find everything you need. There are a few restaurants nearby. A tavern is actually downstairs and also a gyros place and a very nice coffee bar. Maria, the owner of the apartment, is very nice and helpful. She welcomed us with a few local products and also with some groceries from the supermarket 🥰

Although the apartment is very close to the beach - Gerakini Beach - we couldn't enjoy it because of the garbage that people leave on it and near it. The sand was full of cigarette butts (the most common thing you 'll find on most of Halkidiki's beaches - organized or not), tissues, wrappers, straws, some plastic waste, even clothing sometimes 🥺 The day we chose to stay on this beach we had to clean the area where we were sitting in. There are also a lot of big waste containers on the streets right as you walk through the neighborhood. You have to go around them and the smell is something you don't want to deal with when you are on vacation 😔

The property is very clean, you can find nearby everything that you might need (a cafe with great coffee, super market, restaurants etc). Maria is really welcoming and helpful! She has included in the apartment anything someone could think of (slippers, dental kits, a fridge full with drinks, water and some extra goodies). I would definitely recommend and would love to visit again!

Maria is a perfect host and the house is wonderful. We enjoyed our stay very much.
