Our family had a great time visiting VA. The house was spacious and clean. We were able to utilize some of the resort offerings such as mini golf and go karts. The home was close enough to access the national park and hike during the day. The host was easy to contact and helpful.and extremely

All of our expectations were met or exceeded by this home. It was clean, comfortable, and in a beautiful area.
The property owner was quick to respond to messages.
The kitchen is well stocked with cookware and dishes.
We saw a lot of deer while driving in/out of the resort area.

Great place to stay. Only complaint was that the one futon downstairs was missing, found it in the garage but it was dirty. Not a big issue as one of our party had an air mattress to use. Other than that the place was very nice and clean. Nice location and convenient for access to the resort.

We had our Five grandchildren ranging in age from 8-19. We all had a great time and the house worked well for all of us. Thank you!

Accurate posting and no issues. Beautiful property. The cleaning fee was more significant than expected.

The craftsmanship of this cabin is unmatched. It has such a warm and welcoming feeling when you are there. Everybody loved the cabin and the stay. We have stayed here twice so far and plan on visiting many more times!

Property is in a great location! So much to do in the area, winter or summer! Home accommodated our group of four adults and 2 children nicely. Very quiet and relaxing Loved the wildlife - a herd of deer - that walked by the back porch each morning and night!

Clean and great location to the slopes and snow tubing. It took a while for the cabin to warm up. Thermostat is controlled by outside source/owner. We agreed to early check in and I believe communication was lost so heating the cabin was delayed. However once the cabin was warmed up it stayed warm and cozy! Beautiful cabin.

Long weekend visit by 2 families with young boys. Loved this beautiful, spacious, and clean log-cabin-style house in a quiet, scenic, and super convenient spot. Had a lot of fun using the pool table. Under 3-minute drive to skiiing and under 10-minute drive to water park.
Watch out, the driveway is steep like others in the neighborhood - scraped our car going up the first time.
Sticklers in my group pointed out some dust up high on tops of beams, but I had to squint to see it. Beds for 6 people. Beyond that it's futons or pull out sofa.

The log home was perfect for our needs. Close to the snow tubing and skiing facilities. Beautiful views of the ski slopes. we loved the daily visits from the deer in the back yard. The log cabin had everything needed for a wonderful stay. The gas fireplace was cozy and the pool table was a plus to keep the grandkids busy. we definitely will be back next year.

Great stay for January ski trip in clean and well equipped cabin! Nestled on the mountains, the cabin build and decor make it feel like a true mountain getaway. Our party consisted of two moms and three 14-15 year old boys. The pool room was great and allowed the boys separation from us as well as entertainment. The main floor was spacious and open and there was plenty of room for everyone. There had been 4-5"of snow several days before our arrival. Great for skiing but not for getting up the driveway. Please note the driveway is steep! It was not shown in the listing pictures or mentioned in reviews. I had ruled out other properties based on driveways alone, since I booked close enough to our trip date to know snow was a possibility. It been salted and somewhat cleared however, there was some snow/ice at the base of the driveway that prevented either of our cars from getting up during our 3 night stay(temps in the 20s all week). We parallel parked at the bottom of the driveway and unpacked from there.I ended up blowing out my knee(ACL tear) on the slopes and the driveway was daunting for the rest of the stay, obviously not the homeowners fault. The cabin is in a great location and takes maybe 2 minutes to drive to the resort. I was hoping the boys could walk to ski but I only saw small lockers at the resort so we couldn't leave skis and snowboards there.Highly recommend Mostly Porch if a steep driveway is not an issue for you. Lori was responsive and easy to work with.

Everything about this house was picturesque and fantastic. A real home-y feel with everything you could possibly need included. We are going to try and make this an annual tradition.

Overall, this is a lovely house to stay in at Masssanutten Resort. The location is excellent as is the floor plan of the house. The wood indoors is beautiful. Great place for a family getaway with a spacious kitchen and den. The pool room is lots of fun. I would recommend the owner upgrade the kitchen with a knife set, dishwashing soap, new potholders, and some tupperware. The only real disadvantage was the cleaning crew was not good prior to our visit. I realize this is out of the owner's control and will be speaking to management about this. I would definitely stay here again. Nice property!

Was an excellent property! When we arrived we were greeted by a huge buck deer and many does . They showed up daily !
Great house, no issues and great neighborhood and location.
Only suggestion I have is to have the cleaners get to the ceiling fan and beams in the family room . It is very high but we noticed a lot of dust up there and didn’t want to turn ceiling fan.. it’s just a suggestion and didn’t take away from our stay at all .
Very pleased and thank you, Tony

A lovely spacious house. We all enjoyed being there and had a great week’s holiday.
There was plenty to do for the children in the resort.
We were blessed by having brilliant warm weather, the AC kept us nice and cool in the evenings.
We have put 5 stars for communication as that field had to be filled in, but we did not need to make contact (perhaps we should have as we could not find either a hairdryer or a kettle).

We loved the house, we felt like we had so much room. We only really used the master bedroom and bathroom and we put our seven-month-old in a pack and play in one of the extra rooms. The living room gets great natural light during the day, we would definitely stay here again.

My family loved this place! Plenty of space in every room, 4 bathrooms, the softest beds ever, softest couch ever, and beautiful porch! All 3 neighbors were super quiet so you can really take in the quiet of the mountains. I’m a SUPER light sleeper (I can’t even handle white noise) so I recommend that anyone like me to bring earplugs because the heating system turns on and off frequently. No one else in my family even noticed though so it really is just a fair warning to those who wake up at every little noise like me! Lori was awesome and responded so fast to every question. Like how does the shower work!? She responded in record time that you simply pull down on the circular ring on the tub spout. Easy peasy once we knew that! The place was clean and well stocked. They have definitely remedied any issues spoken of in past reviews. Dishwasher seemed new, plenty of towels, etc. We didn’t do any resort activities but they were all just a short drive away. Instead we went on lots of hikes, antique shops, explored the lavender farm, and the arboretum. I really regret not booking the Walk a Paca! They book out 2 weeks and you get to take an adorable alpaca for a walk! So if you’re reading this and are about to book this beautiful place, go reserve a time to walk an alpaca too! Experiences! ❤️

Quick getaway to the mountains
We live in Virginia Beach and have made visiting Massanutten resort an annual to biannual trip. My husband and kids love to snowboard and staying at Mostly porch made the experience even more enjoyable. The property was everything you would expect of a mountain escape. The scenery was beautiful, the decor was just right, and it smelled of wood and cleanliness when you walked in. My family and I hope to stay here every time we visit Massanutten for years to come. Thank you for a wonderful winter escape.

Perfect size for a family vacation! Close to so many things to do!
Our family of four really enjoyed this rental. The huge open concept main floor was perfect for cooking and hanging out with family. The layout and the pool table were great. We really enjoyed the location of the cabin as well.

This has hands down been one of my favorite vacations. Lori was a wonderful host to work with. The home was beautiful and so incredibly close to so many things to do (water park, pool, hiking, etc)! We are so thankful we chose to do this trip!

Beautiful mountain cabin
Lovely house on hillside surrounded by trees. Very quiet and peaceful especially on the huge covered porch. Also super convenient to all resort amenities - pool, ski/bike park, etc. The house was very clean and well equipped. Owner/manager was easy to reach and very helpful. We would definitely stay again.

Perfect place for graduation weekend
Our son was graduating from JMU and we wanted a place that was close and spacious enough for family and friends. Mostly Porch was exactly what we were looking for. It is very spacious and very clean. We had a little celebration and needed to do some cooking and the kitchen was fully stocked with all of the utensils, pots and pans that were needed. The basement has a pool table which was perfect for the kids to go where they were away from the adults. The porches were very nice and offered a great place for morning coffee. Overall we had a great weekend at the house and would rent again if we needed something for a family gathering in that area.

Lovely cabin
Our family took a short vacay to Massanutten and stayed in Mostly Porch. It was just the right size with all the necessities and plenty of games, and even a pool table. Quiet, great location for us and our 13 year old son, lots of fun things to do for him in the resort. Would definitely stay again.

A Wonderful Escape
Our family of 6 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mostly Porch. The house is very comfortable, has tons of amenities, is in a wonderful location, and has great views! The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is huge. The family enjoyed the pool table and gas fireplace very much in the evenings. We had the chance to ski, snowboard, and go tubing each day. It was such a fun escape!

Great Stay
This property was excellently located with a lot to do within driving distance. The house was big with a lot of entertainment included inside. We were able to see a lot of wildlife from the porch. The porch was so peaceful and relaxing. The property manager and owner of the property were also very accessible for questions that we had. Check in and check out were very easy and contactless.

This place made us want to buy our own cabin in the mountains someday! It was relaxing and we loved looking for deer and reading on the porch.

Great location for a mountain getaway
Our family (three adults and three kids 5-9yrs) had a fantastic time staying at this beautiful home. It’s an extremely convenient location and even walking distance to a number of Massanutten resort amenities, yet it feels secluded and beautiful. My kids loved the closet full of board games, pool table and swing attached to the deck. The home was clean and well stocked. We would definitely go back for another stay.

Four nights at “Mostly Porch”
Cabin Mostly Porch July 12-16, 2020, 5 adults
Mostly porch is a beautiful cabin in a good location. Two deer were around the cabin daily. The pool table and games were great. We had a good time! There are a few things that we found disappointing that could make the stay of your next guests better and your reviews higher.
Things we found disappointing at Mostly Porch:
*No top sheets on 3 twin beds
*No place to sit anything in bathroom upstairs
*Upstairs bathroom had a dirty ring in tub and hair in the drain
*The shower upstairs leaked down into the master bedroom
*Very few towels and wash cloths (had to wash them a couple of times for 5 adults staying four nights)
*The sitting area upstairs could be awesome and inviting but isn’t. Phone chargers would need to be very long to reach the couch (10 ft). No chair for desk or side table for a drink.
*Two of four bathrooms had a 1/8 of a bottle of hand soap and no hand towels in any bathroom or in the cabin
*Dishwasher did not work (It was pretty obvious that it hadn’t worked for a while)(dishwasher pods were old and dirty, dishwasher pod white spots stuck to floor of dishwasher in different locations)
*Drip coffee maker was very dirty had to be cleaned with vinegar and water before it could be used
*Dishes and utensils were dirty and had to be washed before use. (Looked like they had been put in the dishwasher and left and then put back in cabinets)
*Outdoor table, chairs were very dirty-not usable
*Grill was very dirty
*WIFI password not posted
