About this cottage rental

The Cottage apartment is located in the Village of New Marlborough, Ma.
We are on the Village Green. Across the road from the famous Old Inn On The Green Restaurant. Also down the road from Gedney Farm, lodging and restaurant. Beautiful restored barns are used for many weddings
15 minutes from Butternut Ski Basin. 20 min. to town of Great Barrington.
1/2 hour to Tanglewood & Jacobs Pillow.
The apt. looks out onto a beautiful field from the kitchen.
There is a main house which is separate from the cottage. The cottage sleeps 4 comfortably. Parking in front of cottage.

Cottage in a beautiful setting: The Cottage is located in Historic New Marlborough Village Green. The 4 Star Zaggat rated Old Inn on the Green is a walk across the road. Many beautiful lakes & streams in the area. Gallery at the Historic Meeting House holds many events during the summer season.

Cross Country Sking in fields. Butternut ski resort 15 from cottage. Great Barrington for local town eatery & movies 20 minutes from cottage.

This cottage is very comfortable, clean and quiet. It has a beautiful back yard with a patio to sit on to catch the sunrise or sunset. Check in and parking was easy and I liked that the cottage is attached to the garage of the main home so the hosts were always nearby (although we had no issues so did not need to contact them during our stay.) One of the bedroom did have a step to get into the room but also had a sink. For restaurants and stores, Great Barrington is approximately a 20 minute drive. At the time of our stay, New Marborough had 2 restaurants with one being the acclaimed Old Inn on the Green.

We had a wonderful stay. The cottage was perfect for our family's needs. Great size for a family of four and completely private. The backyard was fantastic with a hammock to relax in an take in the view. The hosts, Eugene and Maria were very welcoming and friendly.

We loved this perfect cottage. It was very clean and very comfortable. It had all we wanted including a spectacular view out the back door. The hosts couldn’t have been nicer. We’ll definitely go back.

we had a great time and the hosts were fantastic. Eugene allowed me to borrow his clubs . amazing james taylor concert and at the miravel resort and spa in lennox . the village green restaurant was amazing and just across the street.

Maria and Eugene's cottage was beautiful, immaculately clean, and serene. We found everything we needed and truly enjoyed the view in the back. M&E were amazing hosts, giving us suggestions for trails, restaurants, and stores. Highly recommend!

We stayed at this property for two nights while in town for a wedding. It was clean, well equipped, and comfortable. The backyard was beautiful and gave us a tranquil place to enjoy the downtime we had. Maria and Eugene were very hospitable. I'd highly recommend to anyone.

The “cottage” is adorable, it was so clean and cozy, the grounds in back are beautiful with views of the mountains. Eugene was very pleasant and helpful. I’m already planning a return trip.

We arrived at night, so we didn't get to see the extraordinary back yard until we awakened the following morning. it was so divine to just sit there and see all the lush greenery. owners had thoughtfully left great coffee and some breakfast fixings which was so appreciated. Maria was a lovely host.

Beautiful cottage that has been well renovated and best backyard view. Directly across the road from the Old Inn at New Marlborough which is where the wedding event was. Maria helped with trusted recommendations on where to eat etc. her property is highly recommended.

We rented this cottage with our young children for a weekend while attending a series of wedding events at Gedney Farm. We found it just as we expected- clean and well stocked with essentials. The hosts were wonderful- property walkable to Gedney. Only regret is not being able to stay longer! Thank you thank you!

We stayed for 3 nights, a very spacious rental in a quiet area. The cottage is attached to the main home, located on the other side of the attached garage. The hosts welcomed us upon arrival and communicated throughout to ensure we had what we needed.

My husband and I spent over a month at this lovely little cottage and cannot recommend it highly enough. We had everything we needed and more. The views from the back patio are simply breathtaking. There is so much to do in the area - but we loved the cottage's view so much we spent many happy hours here. Maria and Eugene are perfect hosts - warm, informative and readily available. We know a forever friendship was forged.

The cottage was exactly as it appeared in the listing! Beautiful cottage and setting. We're birders, and the birding opportunities around the cottage, and in the area, are spectacular. 3 fabulous hikes, and we can't wait to go back and take more hikes.

Maria and Eugene's southern Berkshires cottage was the perfect antidote for too much work and a frenetic pace. The lovely rolling hills, beautiful foliage, and plentiful places to walk, hike, and enjoy nature exceeded my expectations and felt longer (in a good way) than it way. A total thumb's up experience!

Adorable cottage with views (and pink-sky sunsets) that became a wonderful getaway for a friend and me after a long business trip. Strong wifi, comfortable beds and the hosts have thought of small things to make your stay relaxed. Feels both far away and close enough to activity ... I might come back for a personal writer's retreat!

We attended a wedding and the hosts were so friendly. We arrived later than expected but the hosts were so accommodating. Check in and check out was easy and any questions I had were quickly answered. It was quiet and we definitely will return to explore the area again. The cottage was very nice and exactly as pictured. It was clean and the kitchen fully stocked. The hosts were super friendly and the backyard view was spectacular! A perfect spot for a reunion of old friends - one couple from NY and the other from Boston. We will definitely be back.

Our stay here exceeded our expectations! The cottage is comfortable and well appointed with a flagstone patio just off the back door, overlooking pastures, a wooded hillside, lovely lawn with lots of pretty plantings. The 2 handsome sugar maples on either side of the patio provided shade part of the day. The hosts were very welcoming and we enjoyed chatting with them. The area is beautiful--woods and pastures and hills--and there's lots to see and do a short drive away. We like birding and had a great time birding from the patio! We also like hiking and there is no shortage of lovely places to walk/hike. It is a splendid place to refresh in the country :)

We (2 adults and an 11-year-old) really enjoyed our stay in this clean, very comfortable, and perfectly located cottage. The view out the back was wonderful. This was our first visit to New Marlborough and we were thoroughly impressed. There are terrific trails and waterfalls really close by. Maria and Eugene are great hosts—friendly and informative but not intrusive. We hope to see them again soon!

We stayed for the weekend and went skiing. Maria reached out and made sure we had all of the information we needed about the cottage and the ski mountain. The check in process was easy. The place was clean, beds made, and kitchen stocked with basics needed so we didn't need to bring cooking oil, etc. The beds were comfortable. There was little cell phone reception in the area, but we used the wifi and also the landline if needed. Plenty of space for a family of 4 for a weekend. We look for to coming back in the future!

The cottage was cozy and immaculate – the perfect place for a relaxing getaway. We loved the view in back. You could see the sun rise over the distant hills and the field. The cottage is set back from the road, and there was no road noise to disturb us. The location is great – quiet and picturesque, close to hiking trails but also just a short trip to Great Barrington. Maria and Eugene were wonderful hosts! We would definitely go back!

A great weekend here. The cottage listing met and exceeded expectation: lots of light , views and a pleasant little terrace. The sitting area was larger than it appeared in photos and very comfy. Nice heat. Great little updated kitchen and bath. Immaculate as you would hope. Perfect for a cozy getaway.

We walked in to a beautiful bouquet of flowers fresh picked from the yard. The cottage has a lovely outdoor patio which overlooks a large grassy area. The fall foliage was wonderful! Cottage is located just across from a FANTASTIC restaurant and a short walk away from a lovely hike. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Can’t wait to go back.

We had a lovely stay in New Marlborough. Maria and Eugene were lovely hosts. The apartment was just as pictured, clean and inviting. The Berkshires are beautiful and there was so much to do and see. A great place to get away during the 2020 summer of social distancing. We highly recommend a stay here.

Lovely and cozy; this is one of the best equipped places we've stayed in. Imagine milk, butter, coffee, cereal and great local bread along with every kind of condiment and spice to cook with. Very much appreciated! We'll be back.
