My husband and I very much enjoyed our stay at the Rose House. It is a great place to relax with a peaceful atmosphere and beautiful views. Marilyn was a perfect host and easily accessible for any questions we had. We highly recommend this property for the perfect getaway and vacation stay.

This is our 5th year at Rose House. It’s like home away from home. Beautiful view, walk to the nearby restaurants. The house is cozy, but has everything you need and is an excellent value. Comfy beds. Perfect Xfiniti WiFi and TV and Marilyn is a pleasure to deal with We will be back next year. A+++

The house is actually nicer than the pictures show. The two bedrooms upstairs are spacious and the rooms downstairs are nice. The veranda is the best place for having breakfast. The house is located in a favorable position on Orr's Island, near the bridge to Bailey Island. One minute walking distance, there is a nice diner for breakfast and lunch. In five minutes walk or 2 by car, it is possible to reach the two restaurants on Bailey Island. The (free) parking of Cedar beach is 3 minutes away by car and then there is a 5 minutes comfortable walk. If you like, you can get your lobsters at Glen's and cook them yourself at home. On the other side of Orr's Island - 5 minutes by car - there are trails: the Devil's Back and near the Bowdoin College Schiller Costal Studies Center.

We had a wonderful time on Orr's and Bailey Island. The house was clean and had beautiful views of the ocean. There was enough space for all of us to be comfortable. We appreciated the amenities: towels, cleaning products, drinking water. I highly recommend this place!

This was our second stay at Rose House. It’s a wonderful vacation getaway and Marilyn is a pleasure to work with. The house has everything you need, the beds are comfortable and full Xfinity cable and internet is provided. It’s a excellent value with a magnificent view of Harpswell Harbor. Delicious breakfast is just steps away at the Salt Cod Cafe, and the scones are to die for. You will love this place. Great for a couple or small family.

Good time for celebration
The property was exactly as advertised. Marilyn, the owner, was nearby and gracious. Checkin was no problem and all questions easily answered. We used the home for a home-base to explore the shores of Maine. We had a great time celebrating our 57th wedding anniversary. Highly recommend. Easy access. Food, etc nearby.

Seascape Escape
Wonderful enclosed back porch overlooking Harpswell Sound is the crowning feature of Rose House, with bedrooms swept with sea breezes, nestled in the heart of a historic seafaring village and within walking distance to the one and only historic Cribstone Bridge. Marilyn was very welcoming and attentive.

Kick back & relax
Super clean & comfortable accommodations. Great views of busy cove from comfy screened porch. Close to a couple of great restaurants & general stores. Only negatives were how close house is to road & steep stairs to bedrooms. With that said, would rent this home again.

Perfect get away♡♡♡
This was the perfect place to stay and the price was great comparing to the other places. It's has an ocean view, access to the dock and close to many places that you can buy seafood from. The house was airy and clean. Marilyn the owner was very nice and sweet. The only down size is, the coffee machine need to be replaced and wish check out was 11 and not 10. Over all if you want to get away from it's all this is the place. The island and scenery was so wonderful and peaceful. I would return any day. Luv it's. I would recommend this place.
