About this house rental
Our renovated 4 bedroom two story heritage home is only 70 steps from the beautiful Kye Bay beach. You can go hiking up on Strathcona Provincial Park, only 40 minutes away, and be back in time for a canoe ride, or just sit and listen to the waves and the eagles and watch the seals. The home comes complete with everything you will need; a computer, large TV, wifi, jet tub, and fully furnished with a large kitchen. Two canoes, lawn and beach furniture, BBQ, propane fire ring and toys and towels are all here. Bringing a dog can be discussed. August and September are our sunniest and driest months in the year.
Our home is available by the week. The one week still available in August is 22nd to 29th. The first two weeks in September are also available.
The Comox Valley has so much to offer. Google Comox Valley, and Kye Bay and see that there are a variety of year round golf courses, boating, walks and hikes, and biking. The local arts and music scene is vibrant and changing, artists and potters have settled here because of the beauty. There is a large variety of restaurants, family and fine dining and those that serve local produce and seafood.
This is a unique opportunity to enjoy a home on one of Vancouver Island's most family friendly, romantic, gorgeous beaches. The sunsets are memorable! Whatever you thought you might do this summer, you might want to change your mind!

The property was all we expected it to be. The house was beautifully situated near the exquisite beach and very well appointed. David was a wonderful host. We wished we could have stayed longer.

We had a wonderful time in Kye Bay and the host was very nice and the house was well stocked with everything, from kitchen to all the outdoor toys you would every need. Would definitely stay there again.

Dave's home right on the water was the perfect getaway for our group of family and friends including tweens and teens. Great big kitchen to cook together, a big garden with plenty of seating to chill and eat. The best of course is the location. A few steps take you to beautiful Kye Beach which was never crowded. Great to watch the dramatic changes between high and low tides. Dave has lots of beach toys and water equipment such as SUPs, kayaks, canoes, and floaters (which we took to do the Puntledge River Float, great fun). Dave is a great knowledgeable host

This house is in a very quiet location just steps to Kye Bay beach. We have visited Comox several times but this was out first time staying on Kye Bay. Our young family LOVED it. The house is fully stocked with all the things you need for the water/beach including paddle boards, kayaks for the kids, body boards... everything you could need. The house has 4 bedrooms with 5 beds total. It is big and comfortable with a very "homey" feel to it. The owners have many different collectibles and artifacts from their extensive travels. Very neat collection!

We've rented other vacation properties in the past and there's always something that isn't quite the way it was promised or as expected. This home was the exception to that rule in many great ways. Dave and his family live in this home the rest of the year, so it is filled with everything you could ever need or want to make it feel warm and welcoming. The kitchen and indeed the entire home have every item you could ever dream of wanting or needing, with multiples of everything so you could easily invite a few friends around for dinner and not worry about running out of dishes or chairs or space for everyone. Oh and did I mention the books? The house is full of bookshelves in every room on every topic, fiction and non-fiction, self-help, nature, religion, family photo books. There are lots of outdoor toys including 2 paddleboards that got lots of use by our family this week. The beach is spectacular and now I've come home I miss waking up to the soft lull of the ocean waves. What a beautiful and peaceful oasis. Thank you, Dave and family, for sharing so generously with us.

Our stay at this home was very enjoyable and more than what we expected. The house is fully equipped and lots of toys for the kids. Dave had two paddle boards which every one totally enjoyed, couldn’t get the kids out of the water. The house is spacious and accommodated all of us quite comfortably. The beach is not crowded and the water very nice.

Ideal location with great access to the water. Home was equipped with everything we needed to experience Comox Valley living. Somewhat unplugged with the tv and internet. Had great family time and bonding. Being spider season, it would have been ideal to have screens on the windows and doors. We had a good time overall.

This was a great property - nice location on a quiet dead end street. Beautiful sunsets and sunrises, great hosts, and helpful neighbours. Home easily sleeps 8 adults and is well equipped with a nice bbq, laundry, air conditioning, outdoor eating area, fire ring, lawn chairs for the beach, and kayaks, skim boards, and flutter boards to use. We had a very comfortable stay.
