We love Jacksonville and this little cottage was just perfect for our quick trip. The location is perfect to access downtown and the Britt. It was too hot outside to enjoy the screened in porch, but it looked lovely. Would definitely stay again! Thank you!

Loved this house. So close to everything, we could even hear the Britt Fest music! The screened in patio was so nice and relaxing. Will definitely return. 😊

Everything is so close to this endearing cottage. Adorable from the outside it is a home away from home inside.

We enjoyed this fantastic cottage in the peaceful neighborhood of Jacksonville, Oregon. It had everything we needed that made the stay comfortable. The screened-in porch was my favorite thing in the morning. It was convenient to all the little businesses and restaurants, besides only a few blocks from the Brett Music Festival.

Wonderful, peaceful weekend away. We enjoyed the proximity to town. The sky lights throughout the cottage gave so much natural light and we loved waking up to see overhanging branches of a tree against a background of the morning sky 😍 We will be back.

Standish Cottage
Excellent care and stylish details from Margaret!! Thank you for all. Extremely clean, well appointed & charming small cottage in the heart of Jacksonville. GREAT shower. Comfy Bed. Well stocked kitched. You can enjoy the lovely front garden or a beautiful screened porch or deck for alfresco dining in the back. Walking distance close to excellent chefs, Gogi Restaurant & C Street Bistro were excellent and I enjoyed 3 mornings of the best coffee/breakfast at Good Bean Coffee! Spectacular valley views at Hummingbird Estate Winery. 25 mins to Ashland for Rafting on Upper Klamath with Noah's Adventures. Perfect 4 day trip! Next trip planning on Britt Festival music!!

Lovely Stay at Standish Cottage
This was our second time staying at this wonderful home. Margaret is so kind, and has everything you need to cook, or just unwind and relax. We had a little rain but that was welcome and enjoyed sitting out on the cool-breeze back deck area and listening to the raindrops and creek. An easy walk to the Britt. We can't wait to stay here again!

Nice cottage. We’ll located
FYI. There was a lot of spiders we had to kill indoors. Feel you might need to spray for them. Other than that, enjoyed our stay

Jacksonville Friendly
We found Standish Cottage very welcoming and comfortable. Kitchen has all the necessities. Margaret (the Host) even had the lights on for our late, after dark arrival. Cottage is only a couple blocks from Downtown, and a close walk to the Britt Festival grounds. We definitely recommend Standish Cottage.

Deer in the yard
Very pleasant cottage, with a kitchen, bedroom, shower bath, screen porch, and outdoor fenced patio, next to a creek, where our first evening we saw a deer browsing. Very short walk to Jacksonville's main street (and about as short as one can get to Britt), and surprisingly quiet, but we were there during time of covid and not the Britt Festival. The only downside is we had to use our Swiss army knife to open a bottle of wine, but there were plenty of glasses.

Perfect little cottage getaway
My husband and I enjoyed every minute of our weekend in the Jacksonville area. It was wonderful to be able to stay at the cottage for a “home” base, as we went back and forth to our son & daughter-in-law’s home for their wedding. A perfect place to wander the town of Jacksonville, and access several great walking/hiking trails.

Beauty and the beast of life's un-expectancies
We have been to this wonderful cottage last year and returned to it this year because it offers all that we want - a full kitchen so we can cook for our special needs, wonderful living spaces with comfort and care at every turn and close proximity to the Britt Festival and an owner who is responsive and truly cares about your experience! When we arrived this year we were greeted with a horrid smell upon entrance! The air conditioner was working away as it was over 90+ degrees outside and the smell was most strong coming out of the vents. I text the owner Margaret , and she came right over. We opened all the windows and doors of the house and decided to turn off the air conditioner. I eventually added rubber floor mat covers to the three floor vents, to control any smell intrusion. We were able to get the smell down enough to live and sleep (though my husband was more sensitive than I to the residual smell). We talked more with Margaret the next day about our concern for a friend that was to arrive that night and sleep on the sofa - the room where the smell was strongest. Margaret had placed a call with her son, who came that afternoon and crawled under the house looking for the source of the smell - to find nothing - but all agreed the smell was strong and real. Margaret, good owner that she is, had just had the central air ducts all replaced earlier this year - and now it appeared a critter may have gotten into the system somehow and died - smelling up the place! The cottage is wonderful, minus such issues. Unfortunately, we had to sleep with the windows and secured screen doors open - which allowed the heavy street noise to intrude on our sleeping. Our friend complained about that the most - though the smell was very apparent when we joined her in the living area in the morning. Margaret offered to refund us fully if we wanted to go elsewhere - which we did not and finding a place during a sold out Britt concert would be impossible anyway! We stayed and do not regret it, though we did ask Margaret to give some compensation for the problem to us, which she agreed too. All in all, I would return to Standish Cottage in an instant, because it is so adorable and practical, the owner is resonsive and caring.

charming house perfect location
We enjoyed our stay at this charming house. We cooked most our meals and thank you Hillary for having keurig coffee maker. Britt festival ,Fabulous Good Bean coffee shop, restaurants and grocery store all a short walk from cottage. Check in and out was so easy.
Kitchen is well stocked with any kind of pots and pans you could need for cooking. We did bring small propane BBQ which was so nice to use outside in the beautiful weather. We didnt mind not having a tv in bedroom. We loved sitting outside enjoying glass wine and listening to the sounds of nature.
perfect place for a couple or single person traveling.
Thank you Hillary.

Super cute house, and the perfect location!
This was our first time to Jacksonville, and hopefully not our last. We loved the town and the house was the perfect spot to be able to walk the two blocks to all the shops and eateries. The house had everything we could possible need, the screened-in porch was perfect for sitting out-side enjoying our coffee in the morning and chatting about our days events in the evening. The bed was cozy, and I loved the sky light in the shower. Would definitely rent the Standish Cottage again.

Great location and wonderful stay.
This rental is a great location for visiting Britt. Short blocks to Good Bean for breakfast, C Street Bistro for lunch, Jacksonville Inn for dinner or you can walk to Ray's and buy groceries to make your own meals. Fun and interesting shops nearby with unique items. Beautiful hiking trails. No need to get in a car for days!
A warm comfortable environment with an awesome screened in porch to relax by the creek.
