What was there to dislike about the property? The house is beautiful. It’s centrally located for beaches, town and additional parking. Our only one small problem was resolved very quickly and professionally by Sam who dealt with my phone call in a calm, professional and friendly manner. We will definitely be back and miss St Ives already!

Cosy apartment in a top-shelf location
We were a family of 5, with 3 kids aged 8-12, and the property fitted us all in comfortably. Although the garage tested my driving skills, once I got the hang of it there was no problem - but perhaps people with big SUVs might want to reconsider their car choice, or park in the Island carpark about 15 seconds walk away! The location is the big attraction of this apartment - being able to walk down the hill to the pubs and cafes of the waterfront was a real treat, along with a 30 second walk to check the surf at Porthmeor. It would take me a long time to get tired of that!! The apartment was clean, well-furnished and had everything we needed. Perhaps the only 'negative' was the fact that it had small windows that didn't have much of a view, and so on cold, windy days (we were there in January...), you couldn't sit in the lounge and stare out the window at storm-tossed seas with a glass of wine in hand. Of course, this means you just spend the afternoon at one of many pubs doing that instead!! Overall, it was a great place, and we had a wonderful time there. Also, the staff were very proactive with communication, ensuring that we had everything we needed. And when there was one small problem (which wasn't really a problem from our point of view), they were right onto it. Customer service was excellent.

Perfect break in St Ives
Had perfect 4 night break at pet friendly Island Retreat in St Ives. Easy check in and check out with garage parking was great. Accommodation was modern with a lovely seaside theme. Tasteful decor, spacious, clean with all requirements and expectations meet.
Would definitely return to the Island Retreat or even an other Orange Roofs property without hesitation.
Thank you Sam and Orange Roofs

Our Family and Friends Holiday
Island Retreat is warm, cozy yet bright and contemporary. The location was perfect for us, we parked our cars and didn’t use them all week. We would definitely come again.

Wonderful stay with a strange noise
The flat was exactly how we imagined, very cozy, like home away from home.
Great location, the garage was also just big enough for our car (estate)!
The only thing is that from somewhere we could hear a strange noise all through the night. Like an air vent that’s stuck and air whizzing through it intermittently. It has got quite annoying, but hopefully the owner will be able to do something about it.

Handy for everything
A well appointed property, good as a bolt hole and for a base. Beds are comfortable and en suite and family bathrooms of a good size. Not a place for enjoying in its own right because there is very little visible sky from the property and no balcony or outside sitting space. However, there are gorgeous beeches very close at hand and who would want to be anywhere else when the sun shines?
The harbour area and town, with many good restaurants and small shops, are within easy walking distance.
There are interesting places to visit by car and walks to do. Even without a car it would be possible to spend a week enjoying St Ives from Island Retreat.

Absolutely fantastic holiday accommodation at Island Retreat was outstanding.
Island Retreat is a fantastic property. It is by far one of the best properties we have ever stayed in and we have been coming to St Ives for over 30 years. The accommodation was spotless when we arrived and the scones cream and jam left for us to enjoy was a lovely touch and very much appreciated after a long journey. Furniture and decor is to a very high standard, the kitchen was very well equipped and had everything we could possibly need. Having garage parking was a godsend as parking in St Ives can be a nightmare! The property was central for easy access to beaches and the town and some great walks. We did the coast path from St Ives to Zennor. All in all the owners have provided a lovely comfortable property for a relaxing holiday. Thank you.

Lovely property in the centre of St Ives
Myself and a colleague were working near St Ives for the week, and we had a great stay in this property.
The apartment is extremely central, less than a five minute walk to the harbour and close to some lovely resteratunts. The property itself was spotless, with a lovely comfortable decor. The kitchen is great, and the rooms are spacious. I imagine this would be a wonderful place to stay for a relaxing break.
The owners of the property were really helpful, and sent us information and recommendations before our stay.
Only think to bare in mind is the size of your car. As mentioned, this property is very central and to get here you have to drive through some very narrow lanes - I imagine around summer/school holidays this would be a bit of a nightmare, or a nightmare if you have a large car. The garage is fairly small - this was made very clear and the owners provided a handy website to make sure our car fitted. If not, there is a car park next to the property.
Overall, a very lovely property, highly recommended :)

Amazing
Amazing find in centre of st Ives. Only downside was shower in ensuite which was either too hot or too cold. I am however not the most competent shower worker especially if it's electric, may have been me. Really loved time there. Perfect retreat.
Easy to walk into town for a great meal in St. Andrews bistro or any other well known eatery, sloop for drinks on way and return.

Perfect!
Our family of 5 spent a great week at Island Retreat and it was perfect in every way.
We couldn't have dreamt of a better location and the parking space was just icing on the cake!
It was within easy reach of everything you could need: beaches, restaurants, Cornish pasties, fish and chips, ice-cream and fudge, but perfectly out of the way and fairly secluded from the hustle and bustle of St Ives itself.
The property provided everything you could think of and Orange Roofs were brilliant too when we had a minor mishap (thank you!).
I would highly recommend it, although should probably keep it a secret so we can go again!

It's ronseal
What can we say, beautifully finished, the photos don't lie. The position is perfect only a couple of minutes from town and the Tate is 5mins away (when it's open). The beaches are even closer than they say. It's very quiet and really is a retreat. The service from the owners agent was fantastic.
