It was available.
The unit is old and tired, but clean. I paid WAY too much just because rooms in the area are in short supply in the summer.

The location was across the street from a convenience store that had everything from food to liquor to all those other little things you seem to need when driving a car around. So easy to get stuff. Angler's restaurant is a two minute drive -- nice folks, good cheeseburger! Fabulous antique place another there to four minutes down the road called "Hobby Horse Antiques" and they have a real cool selection of things that are, in essence, an homage to capitalism. A lot of hand made treasures there. The motel had a nice room where you could get coffee and muffins in the morning, benches where you could sit outside. A real nice vibe there... our room was spacious ( family room), clean and refrigerator rocked and the A/C was brand new.
It was a little dusty but there was construction going on down the road in both directions.

The Yardarm is located central to all of the places that I wanted to visit. The grounds are beautiful and Rick, the owner was right there whenever I needed anything. I would highly recommend the Angler restaurant which is 5 minutes from the hotel.
The high point for me regarding the hotel was the breakfast room. Absolutely beautiful and the baked goods were as good as it gets!
Rick is such a nice guy, I hate to say anything negative but this is not his fault. He recently got rid of cable due to them doubling the price (we can all relate!). The Roku system was pretty good but I wasn't able to use it my last night. There was an issue with the service so maybe this was not the fault of the owners.

Quaint place - comfortable rooms and delicious breakfast included - the homemade muffins were amazing!

This place is great. Our room was nice with 2 beds - our dog got her own bed which she was very pleased with! It was very clean and inviting, and the shower was excellent, which might be a weird thing to say, but when you are out hiking all day or whatever, a hot shower with very strong water pressure will really put you back together again. It was great that they had a little breakfast room with free coffee and light breakfast foods. The owner is very nice and great to talk to. Great, affordable place to stay when visiting Acadia. We will definitely be back!

This was by far the best motel I've stayed in. Very clean, very nicely decorated and furnished. Breakfast was decent with many cold options like cereal, fruit, and yogurt.
There could have been more options for breakfast including waffles, eggs, and sausage like other motels/hotels.

there was no staff at the hotel at 500pm. the rooms needed a 4 digit code to access. we did not know this. we arrived with no internet access to find the code. after waiting and calling no answer. finally annother guest let us use the internet to find our mail code to enter our room. also the heater is too close to the window drapes.

I was impressed by the breakfast. I didn't expect this at this "modest" looking motel.
I was apprehensive about having to get the room entrance code via a text. It worked well because they sent it to my wife.

Kind of a cross between a B&B and motel. Nostalgic throwback to the early days of motoring mixed with New England charm.

Easy check in, very clean, great location, fresh baked goods!
Everything was wonderful!

Location good but from pics expected clear view of the ocean. Next time I would pick the more complete New England village of Belfast only 15 minutes down the highway. Everything else about the Yardarm was fine at a reasonable price

We didn't meet any of the staff because we checked in after hours but they were extremely nice in all correspondence. It's a really nice spot with a store right across the street. Not much of a view but still a really nice location.

This is our "go to" hotel when traveling to Maine. Been going here since 2016. The hotel was bought this year and the new owners are awesome!! Our treks are always spur of the moment and luckily we always get a room in one of our favorite hotels. Love the quietness of the hotel, the beds and new owners are awesome, professional, always available if you need anything, and always there to help. Love the area(s). There's so much to do in the town/surrounding areas to keep you busy or if you want to relax-during your stay! Can't wait to go back!

The room was noisy and many mosquitoes flying around. Some spider web in the corners. One night only room.

It felt authentic to area
Floors slope, animals crawl around underneath and it’s unnerving, food wrappers left under bed from previous stay. Walls are paper thin so you can hear what neighbor is watching.
