A fabulous family retreat with lake views and swimming pool!
This stunning lake view property is perfect for families wanting to explore and enjoy the delights of Lake Como. The beautiful duplex property enjoys a splendid elevated position in a gated residence on the sunny Menaggio hillside and is within a few minutes walk of the town’s amenities.
The property features the principal living accommodation to the first floor, with a very spacious open plan living room to welcome guests. A comfortable sitting area with stylish leather sofas faces a fabulous open fireplace which is ideal for cosy romantic evenings in with a chilled glass of wine or for simply watching a film on the 32” flat screen TV. A music stereo with IPod dock is also provided for guest’s entertainment, if required, Wi-Fi access is also available.
Guests can enjoy the direct views of the central lake from the living area, and after opening the glass doors can access the private sunny terrace which is ideal for accommodating guests for splendid alfresco dinner parties, with the breathtaking backdrop of the Bellagio peninsular and unspoilt eastern shore in view. Sun loungers also provide guests with the perfect relaxation spot for reading a book or enjoying a cocktail!
The newly fitted Kitchen/diner is chic and spacious with its Italian balance of modernist style and practicality. All the desired appliances needed for a comfortable self-catering stay are provided and include a gas hob, oven, coffee machine, kettle and dishwasher for maximum convenience.
Three bedrooms are situated to the first floor with a master bedroom furnished with beautiful modern oak furniture and enjoying lake views from its terrace balcony access. The second bedroom also comprises a double bed and is furnished to a high modern finish. The spacious third bedroom is furnished with a junior-size bunk bed and a pull down single bed to accommodate a third guest if required. Two newly-fitted modern bathrooms with power showers feature to this floor.
There is a single sofa bed in the living room.
The holiday home also features a 4th bedroom with 2 single beds and an accompanying bathroom with shower, to a separate lower floor. To reach this additional accommodation, one must exit onto the covered balcony through the window door, and then take 3 steps to the left to reach a door, which leads to an internal staircase.
A fabulous entertainment area is also situated to the lower floor, in a large modernised cantina, which boasts a bar, cooking facilities and spacious dining area. There is also a sitting area with an open fireplace, a flat screen 32” TV with Xbox game station and music stereo are also provided.
All bedrooms feature a Radio / IPod dock and Xbox games are also provided.
A private parking facility is provided for guests in the residence and a fabulous feature can also be enjoyed by guests; a splendid lake view swimming pool! Please note that anyone who wishes to use the communal pool must wear a swimming cap.
The sunny tranquil poolside also makes it popular for sunbathing and the views are spectacular over the central lake.
From the gated residence guests can easily drive to the Loveno Tennis Club and the Menaggio & Cadenabbia Golf Club as well as being able to easily reach the centre of Menaggio by car or in just 5 minutes on foot.
The picturesque resort town provides all the desired local amenities including supermarkets, delicatessens, boutique clothes and jewellery shops and a family friendly Lido with beach and swimming pools. The pretty cafe-lined piazzas are delightful to sit in and enjoy a cappuccino and there is a wide variety of restaurants available, from the inexpensive family friendly Pizzerias and lakefront Red Bay restaurant to the elegant Il Ristorante di Paolo in the lake view Piazza. There are many other restaurants situated just a short scenic drive along the central lake towards Tremezzo and beyond.
Local activities include hiking, cycling, sailing, swimming, boat hire, kayaking, windsurfing, quad biking, tennis, golf and horse riding.
From Menaggio the many other towns and nearby cities are highly accessible with a lake bus service running from the town to Como city and a frequent car and passenger ferry service operating between Bellagio, Varenna and to the other popular visitor towns.
During the high season an airport shuttle service runs to Bergamo airport and Como city provides train links to Milan and Malpensa airport.
The main mountain road leads to Lake Lugano in just 25 minutes and from beyond Porlezza, Lugano city is just a further 30 minutes drive away. Please note that the pool is open from the 1st of June 2024 to the 15th of September 2024

Some mold in the bathroom cieling and a little dirt in the corners, but that aside, nice an priceworthy accomodation. Walking distance to village centre.

We had to rent a car to get to the place and there was no mention of that on the site!

Great location. Wonderful views. Property was stuffy on arrival. Kitchen had visible signs of wear/damage to cabinet facing. Bathroom showers were dirty with mold on wall tiles and floor pan. Light in bathroom didn’t work. Property is showing its age.

View of the lake was breath taking.15-20 minute walk to town - steep uphill on pebbled roads. Difficult for the elderly. Apartment was comfortable however there were no batteries in the tv remotes, hair dryers can’t be used as they sparked when turned on, mold on the ceiling in the bathroom with no venting. Despite these few issues, we had a wonderful time and would definitely return to Menaggio

Pros: the views and the size of property is good for larger groups. The basement is huge but only a few porthole windows.
The upstairs has a large veranda with wonderful view.
Cons: the place reeked as there was “fresh” garlic just sitting in a cabinet going bad. The place was not very clean. It looked like it had been lightly cleaned but looked like it had been done several weeks prior. The towels had rust stains and were terribly thin. The sheets had holes in them. The place was run down and several light bulbs were burnt out. We were there only two nights else I would have complained There was a basic stale stench in the bathroom. Not freshly cleaned whatsoever. It desperately needs attention and fixing up. The pillows are hardly what I would consider pillows rather padded cardboard. Flat and very uncomfortable. Bring your own if you can.

It was a nice size apartment with a wonderful balcony view. It was a 10 min walk to the centre of town. The walk back requires the ability to climb hills and stairs.
We found some of the keys difficult to use to open gates. When we got there we found that we needed bathing caps for the pool. Where do you buy bathing caps? It would be nice if the unit provided some or had the rules changed. A few tea towels would have been nice as not all people use the dishwasher.
We enjoyed our stay here. Relaxing on the balcony was always an enjoyable part of the day! I would recommend it to anyone visiting Menaggio.

What a beautiful stay in Bellavista Grande. The view is just spectacular and there is really no place like it. We only wish we could have stayed longer to explore more! We even managed it with 3 kids under 3 years! Hopefully we’ll make it back someday.

Apartment was very clean and tidy and the view over the Lake is just incredible. Everything provided and the kitchen was an added bonus. Pool area very clean and totally relaxing. The walk down to the main road was fine as we are close to the corner shop, ferry port and main square. We thank you for helping us make such treasured memories. Diolch yn fawr!

Beautiful views / very clean
We only had a short stay at Bellavista, but it was everything we were looking for. Property was very clean, rooms comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, and it was a convenient walk into town (8-10 min) down a walking path. The highlight of course for the property is the patio and the views of the lake. Absolutely spectacular. Would definitely stay again.

Sehr schöne Wohnung mit tollem Ausblick.
Reichlich Platz auch für zwei Familien mit genug Bädern. Sehr schöner Pool. War leider wegen Corona zum größten Teil geschlossen.
In Menaggio ist man schnell zu Fuß.
Abzug gibt es für den dreckigen Esstisch, an dessen Gestell Essenreste kleben und die Polster der Sitzlounge wirkten auch lange nicht gewaschen. Da wir dies aber mokiert haben, wird sich das sicherlich ändern.

Basement rooms horrible
Basement rooms were really terrable. You really didn’t know from the information that there is different enter outside using metal door and on rooms in the basement didn’t have any windows. And when you turned lights off, you didn’t get electricity in side the rooms. There was a feeling like in preason. In basement were lot of flies, centipedes, beetles and spiders because the metal door had a open net. I cant recommend the basement for any use.

Menaggio and the location were wonderful. The unit was smaller than depicted in the pictures and is in need of some upgrading. The walk to and from town was an interesting adventure!

We were two families with children and spent 4 days at the Bellavista Grande. We absolutely loved the place! It had everything we needed and more. The views from the balcony are absolutely breathtaking! We loved the location, with the ferry station being just a short walk from the villa. We visited Villa Balbianello, as well as Villa Carlota. Both spectacular!We were very impressed with the service provided by Happy Holidays Team! They were always very helpful, professional and answered all our questions quickly. Could not ask for more! Highly recommend both the villa and the agency.

We were two families with children and spent 4 days at the Bellavista Grande. We absolutely loved the place! It had everything we needed and more. The views from the balcony are absolutely breathtaking! We loved the location, with the ferry station being just a short walk from the villa. We visited Villa Balbianello, as well as Villa Carlota. Both spectacular!
We were very impressed with the service provided by Happy Holidays Team! They were always very helpful, professional and answered all our questions quickly. Could not ask for more! Highly recommend both the villa and the agency.

We were very pleased with our stay at Villa Lisnada Croce starting on May 29th and ending June 2nd. The house was wonderful for a family reunion – 7 people- and we enjoyed the fabulous views! It was easy to find because the office staff drove with us to find the villa, it would have been difficult to find on our own.. We engaged “Mama Chef” for our first nights dinner and the food she prepared was fantastic! She was so nice and we enjoyed every bite she prepared!The office staff was very accommodating and helpful with every question that we had concerning the property, places to visit and where to park our car, and a restaurant suggestion that was wonderful – Grolla – perfect for our family with small children. We took the Ferry to Bellagio and on another day we went to Varena where we especially enjoyed the Villa Monastero and Gardens.We would highly recommend staying at Villa Lisnada as a perfect place to visit.

Danilo was very helpful, and we highly recommend the driver he sent to pick up my sister and then us, for our transfers. I unfortunately cannot recall his name I'm sorry. However, he was incredibly helpful and even walked my sister into the train terminal to ensure she found her platform etc. We were very appreciative of this. He also provided a lot of interesting information about the region during the drive. Travelling with a toddler is challenging and the stairs up to the street definitely tested us, but the view from the balcony was worth the effort. The property was clean and in good condition. Menaggio was a perfect choice for us to stay in as we found towns like Bellagio to be very touristy and busy. Our proximity to the ferry terminal was very convenient and we travelled around the towns via ferry. The area is simply breathtaking, even more beautiful than the pictures suggest. The company were very helpful in arranging the transfers and boat hire, plus allowing us to use the printing facilities at the office as well. Everyone we came across was very helpful. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we hope to return to the region one day in the future.

I just wanted to send you a quick email to say thank you for all your help during our stay last week. We all had a fantastic time and are sad to be home.
The apartment was perfect for us and is really well looked after, we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. We all enjoyed staying there and it was an ideal place for my 3 year old son as it is safe and secure. The apartment is in an ideal location as it only took 10-15 minutes to walk into the centre of Menaggio and the supermarket by the ferry is very handy!
You and your team were brilliant with helping us and answering all our questions and queries and you responded so quickly to each email, we really felt like you looked after us.
This is the second time myself and my husband have visited Menaggio and we absolutely love it there, so much so we are talking about coming back for a third time and we still feel we haven't explored the lake completely as there is still so much to see!

We stayed for a week in June 2014 and we will be coming back!
This place was perfect for our family (ranging in ages from 3 - 60) and is an absolutely delightful apartment. The walk into Menaggio only look 10-15 mins and the supermarket by the ferry was very handy. The apartment is modern, clean and has the most amazing view over the lake and Varenna and Bellagio.
We absolutely loved staying here and my 3yr old son loved the pool!
The team at lakecomohomes.com are efficient and very helpful and they always replied to my emails almost instantly. They really looked after us. We shall be recommending them to all our friends and we are already talking about coming back as there is still so much to see and do around the lake, plus the food everywhere we ate was amazing!

Bellavista Grande
Our holiday home in Menaggio was just what we were looking for. The property was spacious, contemporary and versatile enough for our family size of 8. The different dining areas were great for enjoying throughout the day and for different occasions. The sunny lake view terrace was perfect for lunches outside and also for evening drinks. There was a fantastic open plan living area and Molly loved being able to plug in her music to the docking station. Patrick and Edward were also able to use the internet on their notebooks during the holiday.
We were very comfortable in the bedrooms and the laundry facilities were convenient as we'd thought we'd have to find a launderette nearby! There was a fabulous communal pool which I know we all loved! There was also a fantastic Lido in the town too which we enjoyed on a few occasions too.
The property was within easy reach of the Golf club, tennis courts and water sport activities and I had no idea how close by Bellagio and Villa Carlotta were from Menaggio until I stayed here!

Bellisimo Italia!A wonderful place to experience the beautiful town of Menaggio! The apartment is well appointed and we had plenty of space for all 8 of us to hang out!The balcony / terrace was our favourite spot as the views were straight from a movie set, Lake Como is the most beautiful place we have ever seen and look forward to returning. Our group of 7 (5 adults, a 13-year-old and a 3-year-old) enjoyed our 7-night stay at Bellavista Grande very much. There is a wide choice of restaurants in Menaggio. A ferry trip across the lake to Varenna is a lovely day out. Varenna is a delightful, character-filled town. We thoroughly enjoyed hiring speed boats for a couple of hours exploring the lake. We enjoyed our stay very much and all fell in love with Lake Como, and the mid-lake towns in particular.

The kitchen is equipped with all we needed; beds were comfortable, water pressure good and the view from the terrace the finest picture. Technology also made for fun most nights and soothing background of music.

We stayed in this beautiful villa quite recently and found it to be full of charm and character. The stunning views from the terrace over the lake to Bellagio and also over the town are too amazing to describe. The villa has everything you could possibly need for a ‘home from home’ holiday including Wi-Fi and even an X-box!. It has been really well put together and gave us everything that we could have possibly needed. Add in the communal pool for summer use and you have a perfect place to spend a holiday.
